I play Saiichi, Sinclair, and Nikolai. I created Sinclair for Anna and don't really like him since joining Hammel, he doesn't work.
Moving on, let's start with my new friend, Saiichi, yes?
Moving on, let's start with my new friend, Saiichi, yes?
i'll give you everything i can if you say the word.
give me your pain, give me your anger. let me be your rock.
i can be the pillar of strength that you need. i'll help you keep it all together.
Saiichi is a sweetheart. He's a bit scattered sometimes, but he means well. He is the person for making you feel better, but he's helpless in emergencies. I mean, I don't think there's anyone more useless when something serious has just happened. He gives it his best shot, and usually upsets those around him. If people can forgive him that, he won't make too many enemies.
And why, you may ask? Because he's willing to do anything if you just ask him. From off-the-wall dares to simple requests, Sai will rarely tell a person no. Nah, life is too short, it's easier just to go with the flow. So he makes a lot of friends with his amusing antics. Some people say it's easily to manipulate him, but Sai doesn't need to be manipulated. If people need to feel important, he'll agree- yes, they're just so cool, they can manipulate the hell outta the willing party. Go them!
...
Er, anyway, Sai has a few family members; Bossy Daichi, Religious Mommy, and Hard-Working Daddy. He doesn't talk too much about them, and when he does, he only mentions the good things. He respects them and loves them deeply, despite their flaws. Saiichi is good that way- he tends to be a bit unrealistic in his devotion and admiration of others. Who doesn't want some person cheering for them, sincerely insisting they're amazing when they know they're not? It's definitely a confidence booster, and I'm sure no one would refuse it. Right? If they did, they should move over to the enemies section now.
As for teachers and authority figures, he tends to be a bit too easy to distract and he's usually very detached from what's going on. He seems to think it's okay to be in a constant state of 'just out of my daydream'. This may annoy his teachers and those other authority figures that have to deal with him, but he doesn't do it to upset anyone. Yet, when you can hear it in his voice, almost every time he speaks, it can get old. On the bright side, he's very obedient for his teachers, he'll answer their questions and do whatever they need done without a single word of complaint. So overall, he doesn't mind them anymore than he minds anyone else he comes into contact with.
And, ummah, I'm not great at thinking of plots, I'm not always the most creative person in the room XD When I created Sai, my only thought was, basically that he could do random dares ... I'm not going to win any awards with that concept. So, let's hear what you can think of, yes? I'm pretty much up for anything. <33
we all laugh and we all cry, we all hurt the same inside.
we all fall down and lose faith in who we really are
but if we all bend instead of break, the choice for us is to make it together
Niko needs his own subgroup for people he doesn't like; those people are strangers. What nine year old doesn't know the term 'stranger danger'? But Niko isn't so much scared of them, as completely and utterly against them. Adult strangers are bad news! Teenagers, well, not so much. Adults? He approaches them with caution.
Another group he's not too keen on? Counselors. Fortunately, psychiatrists/psychologists and counselors are not the same thing to him. To Niko, a counselor is someone who pretends to care, who insists on being his 'friend', but really isn't, not necessarily the career itself. Niko is not happy when he has 'meaningless' relationships- though he'll probably use a much longer description to get that point across. He needs real connections, ones he can believe in, ones that feel right. and the relationships with the counselors usually do not feel right. To be fair, if a teacher or peer is like that, if they don't pay enough attention to him or forget 'important' things he tells them, they're just as bad as the counselors. He just generally assumes the counselors are the ones who do it most. Which is precisely the reason why all his frustration and arguments seem to erupt whenever he's forced to talk to his school counselor about incidents he's involved in where as he's pretty docile around his teachers and, really, most others.
Niko has friends, but at Hammel they're all older than him so just how close these friends are is debatable. He likes the teenagers, and he's used to tagging along with them because he did when he lived in the foster home, but there is still an age gap. In the end, Nikolai is only nine. Still, mentoring relationships, relationships based on pity and helping the kid adjust, or genuinely thinking he's a cool kid, that's all good with me.
Niko doesn't have family just yet- orphaned young, that's the story. He grew up with a lady he calls "Mrs. Bri". She was an affectionate woman, for the most part, and she had a husband who seemed to demand respect, especially from someone as young as Niko. Richard, that was his name, or Mr. Richard. Either way, Richard was bad news if you did something wrong, so Niko tended to avoid him, because he'd usually done something wrong whether anyone noticed or not. At any rate, Niko considered his fellow orphans to be more of a family than the 'parent' figures. They weren't necessarily neglectful, but Niko was drawn to the teenagers, and the parent figures were typically more busy than the teens. Not that he minded. Ultimately he didn't have a stable family structure, which may be beneficial when he gets his new family. So, cue Chase and James <3
Little kids pack a powerful temper, let me tell you. Niko has a temper indeed. It's easy to see when you're an enemy. He throws tantrums and has a way of letting you know when he's mad- all you have to do is look at the sky to see just how much your words are setting him off. Niko's ability is like a mirror into the emotional scene. He doesn't pick fights unless he's really mad, but along the way he's seemed to conclude that when he's really upset, the only way to get it across is to go hit the person he's mad at. In need of a punching bag, much? It's not so much that he wants to hurt the other person, he just seems incapable of handling it himself in a peaceful manner. But perhaps, given time, this attitude can hopefully change and he can avoid making enemies.
So that's all I have to say. But if you think of other relationships your character can fit in with Niko, or especially if you think of a plot with Niko that you think could be interesting, post it here, 'kay? <3 I mean, I love the Cbox as much as the next person, but I can promise you now that if it is not documented on a post for me to go back to, chances are I will unintentionally forget. And I don't wanna forget, 'cause Niko's my little buddy ^_^
