Case File: Operation Patriot
Threat Level: Moderate, Potentially High
Since Operation Patriot's takeover of Hammel Institute, I have grown concerned with the well being of the students daily. Normally I'm not one for governmental conspiracy plots, but being a former operative for the United States military, I have more insight into how the military thinks and operates. Personally I have not been one for large scale government involvement in the affairs of public domain. Loyalty to my country and the military has never been drawn in question, but I know how corrupt the system can become and I am not loyal to those groups.
Hammel Institute is a breeding ground for kids and young adults of extraordinary power. People like that always attract the wrong sort of attention from the most awful of people. For years I have worked to protect these kids and the teachers from the propaganda of Big Brother of other less than reputable organizations and have both succeeded and failed. The government however, is a tricky situation to handle and even more so now that they are in charge in of the Institution. Outwardly standing against Operation Patriot personal, those in charge especially, is a dangerous move and I cannot allow myself to be compromised in such a way as to be removed from my position here at the school, nor allow other school leaders to fall prey to such an act either.
However, I cannot become drawn to their level and force the children to make decisions I want them to make. Free will is a gift and if any student or teacher wishes to fall in line with Operation Patriot's plans, then so be it, but I will work to make sure they are very well informed. I will be meeting with several key players within the Hammel staff in intervals to see just where they stand on this situation and what their thoughts might be about any would be plans the government has for the students and school. I pray to God I am wrong about my worries, but I've seen first hand how the government loves using meta-humans as weapons.
