A Note About Last Night

Saturday night, a member decided to make an alias in the chat and post things that were intentionally making other members uncomfortable. We assume it was intended as a joke, but we do not find it funny.
We banned the chatango account as if it was a stranger, because that's what we believed it to be. Some anonymous person being banned would not get a public notice here. But IPs were compared and we discovered it was a member.
After some discussion, staff has decided to continue with the ban. This is because we want Hammel to be an enjoyable place for everyone. Going out of your way to post rude, cruel, or otherwise disruptive things will not be tolerated.
Our first rule is civility, and we regret the former member decided to put on an alias and break it. Their accounts have been retired.
