Charni Is So Wrong (Dani)

Having eaten and purchased the few things they had wanted at Bath & Bodyworks, Charlie and Dani had left the mall and headed to the lake. Charlie had no idea what to expect from this outing, but the sun was going down and Dani was looking so cute as they chatted away on the drive there, she was ready for anything. Not to mention Dani had gotten her all excited about the talk of massages.

Finding a place to park was easy - though there were a few other cars there, it looked pretty quiet. As soon as they had grabbed their things (lotions, drinks, and a package of donuts Charlie had grabbed from the shop, among other things), they set off down the bank of the lake to find a place to relax. While they walked, Charlie pointed a hand upward and shot off a firework, a bright red on in the shape of a heart. Y'know, to get the mood going. With her underage friend.

Yeah.

They found a place to sit on a nice grassy area a few feet away from the edge of the water, and Charlie pulled out the donuts, opening the box and selecting a raspberry-filled one for herself. "It's so nice out right now," she commented. The sunset was beautiful, casting rays of orange and red and yellow over the water. The perfect romantic situation. She rubbed a hand absent-mindedly on her shoulder, wincing a little as her muscles ached in response. "About your offer..." she began slowly, giving Dani a sultry look. "Does it still stand?"

As they reached the lake, Dani helped carry some of the items. She looked up to the sky in awe after Charlie shot off a firework, a big grin spreading across her lips. Charlie was absolutely adorable, and she definitely seemed to know how to put someone in the perfect romantic setting. As the heart-shaped firework faded Dani, they had stopped walking and found a spot to sit.

She sat down next to Charlie a bit closer than the average friend would and proceeded to grab a glazed doughnut from the box. “It’s beautiful.” Dani agreed, watching the sunset. By this point, any thoughts of what was wrong or right had left Dani’s head completely. She decided she didn’t care about that, because the moment was too perfect to let worries enter her mind.

At Charlie’s question, Dani gave a bit of a smirk. “Of course it still does,” she replied, pushing herself to her feet and walking to behind Charlie and sitting down once again. Dani slid a hand under Charlie’s hand that was rubbing her shoulder and immediately started to knead the muscles with her thumb and palm; she applied enough pressure to rub the muscle enough to relax it, but was careful of pressure points that would hurt Charlie. After a few minutes, Dani stopped and grabbed the bottle of lotion she bought, squeezing a small amount into her hand before rubbing it in her hands enough for an even coating on her palms. She hesitated for a second before slipping her hands under Charlie’s shirt and started massaging her mid and lower back.

It was perfectly normal to massage someone’s bare skin. Nothing wrong with it at all.

Charlie noticed how close Dani sat to her, and her grin widened. They were definitely on the same wavelength. Even if it was probably really wrong.

Oops. But really, what was the harm? She would be eighteen in a few months anyway...

As Dani's hand moved under her own, a sigh escaped her lips and she tilted her head to the side. "God, that feels good," she breathed. "Where did you learn how to be such a great masseuse?" It was totally normal to be massaged by a friend. Right. But then Dani went to get the lotion, and Charlie knew what would happen next. As Dani's hands slipped under her shirt, Charlie's eyes fluttered closed until she had an idea.

"Oh honey, it's too hard to do it like that," she said, hiding a mischievous grin. "Here, let me help." She reached down and tugged her shirt off over her head, tossing it aside and throwing a smile and a wink at Dani over her shoulder. "Does that make it any easier?"

Who knew where this was going to end up? Oh Charlie...

Sure, Charlie was making the sounds a normal human being made when receiving a massage, but did she have to make it so sexy? “I dunno…” Dani replied softly, “I used to give them to my mom and other actors, and I guess I just got good at it over time.” She had always done odd jobs while working in the theatre, but had always found it fun.

The second Charlie pulled her shirt off, Dani quietly sucked in a deep breath. Oh dear. “Oh, um, I- I, yeah, it does.” Dani could barely put out a proper sentence. Yeah, it was normal to take off one’s shirt while receiving a massage, but this was a different situation. Her hands paused on Charlie’s lower back and she felt her cheeks heat up as Charlie winked back at her. After a moment, she continued with the massage, placing too fingers on both side of Charlie’s spine and rubbing up her back with even pressure. Her fingers gave off a slight electrical tingle as they touched the other's skin.

She bit her lip, her eyes lingering on Charlie’s bare back while she kneaded the muscles. It seemed like Dani couldn’t go long around Charlie without letting her mind get ahead of herself. “Did you know that the human tongue consists of sixteen muscles?” Dani blurted out suddenly, “Most people think it’s just one, and it’s not…” She continued to ramble, feeling that if she didn’t talk, she’d probably do something stupid. She wasn't one to make the first move with people, but boy did she want to right now.

"Other actors?" Charlie inquired, curious. She hadn't heard about Dani working in theater before. "I'm sure they appreciated it," she added,"Because ahhh." Charlie breathed out again. "That feels amazing." She was very aware of the pressure of Dani's fingers across her skin, and it sent tingles all up and down her spine, in more ways than one.

Charlie caught the sharp intake of breath from Dani, and held back a chuckle. She was adorable. But at least she liked what she saw, right? "Just trying to help you out, darling~" she sang quietly, grinning. Dani looked even cuter when she was blushing. And then Charlie felt real tingles running up her spine as Dani's fingers went to work, which actually felt pleasant rather than painful. "Do you normally use your abilities to make massages better?" she asked, just to have something to talk about. "Because that feels awesome."

She listened as Dani began to talk about tongues, and her own went between her teeth as she gave and open-lipped smile and bit on it gently. "Is that so?" she asked airily. "I had no idea. How do you know about these things? You're like... A mini Wikipedia or something. It's so cute."

Charlie definitely sensed her want. And, being ever obliging, reached back to grip one of Dani's hands lightly as she turned around to face her. "Dani. I'm going to tell you right now that if this isn't something you want, feel free to push me away." She wasn't going to ask first, that wouldn't be cool, but she didn't want to force this upon Dani either. With a smile, she tilted in and gently brushed her lips against Dani's, more of a light caress than an actual kiss. If Dani wanted anything more, she was more than welcome to go for it.

“Mm,” Dani forgot that she never really told Charlie about her theatre life, “I pretty much grew up in a theatre. My mom is an actress and my dad is a sound designer.” Dani explained shortly. She could go into the details later, but for the moment, she was really distracted by the feeling of Charlie’s skin on her fingers. The last thing she wanted to talk about was her parents.

“Oh, it helps a lot, trust me.” Dani replied, trying to act like Charlie’s lack of clothing wasn’t a big deal. Because it wasn’t. At all. Yeah.

Dani was relieved to hear that her use of powers helped, “I’ve never actually tried it before on other people.” She confessed, “But I thought it’d be a nice touch to the massage, and now I know it is.” She grinned, moving her hands to focus on the middle of Charlie’s back. She applied a bit more pressure and used her knuckles to work through some of the knots. “Hmm… I don’t know.” Dani thought after a moment, “I like reading, and I guess I just remember random stuff. Most of it isn’t useful, but it’s fun to share.” She liked it when Charlie called her cute, and the comment made her gently bite her lip and grin.

Suddenly, Charlie’s hand stopped Dani from continuing the massage, and she looked up to see the older turn around. Dani raised an eyebrow, not quite sure where Charlie was going, but the next thing she knew was that Charlie’s lips brushed gently against her own. In response, Dani leaned forward and placed her free hand softly on Charlie’s neck to turn the light touch into a gentle kiss. She pulled away just enough for her to speak, "Don't worry. This is something I really want." She mumbled softly before leaning forward and pressing her lips against Charlie's with a deeper kiss.

"Really? That's so cool. I think being an actress would be so fun." Her mind wasn't really on the conversation either, though, so she soon dropped it.

Charlie laughed. "So, I'm a guinea pig then! That's cool, I'm totally fine with being your test subject." Was that a weird thing to say? .... Yeah. Oops. Oh well. "But yeah, it's a nice touch. Definitely something to remember." She nodded energetically, before letting out another sigh as Dani's hands continued to knead out the muscles with her light, delicate fingers. She seemed to know just where it hurt most. "Ahh, I see. Well, reading is a great hobby to have. I read a lot in high school; I still do, when I get the chance. I like being transported to another world, you know?" But that probably wasn't what Dani was talking about - Charlie loved fiction, mostly, and didn't really read anything educational unless she found it interesting, or she had to.

The feeling of Dani pressing her lips against hers, reciprocating the kiss, made fireworks go off in Charlie's head. Fortunately, she didn't accidentally shoot off any from her fingertips or anything. That wouldn't be cool. Her quiet confirmation had Charlie's heart racing, and she reached up to run her hand though Dani's hair as the kiss deepened. It was so wrong, and yet it felt so right. It wasn't like they were having sex or anything - kissing was innocent. Right? Charlie had never been in this sort of position before.

After several long moments, she pulled back slightly, taking a breath. "I..." For once, she was speechless. All she could do was smile and take hold of Dani's hand with her free one, completely oblivious to the fact that they were in a public area, her shirt was still off, and people could be watching them. "You're beautiful, Dani," she murmured. "I... I don't want to take this too quickly."

“Don’t worry, I’m nice to my test subjects.” Dani laughed, going along with the joke. “Yeah, books can suck you right in. Sometimes I forget where I am when I read.” Although Dani did like reading nonfiction, she also was a huge fan of fiction – especially science fiction and fantasy.

Sparks seemed to fly as their lips met. Dani pulled herself closer to Charlie and onto her lap. Her fingers traced lightly down to Charlie’s collarbone, careful not to go much further down before they made their way up back to Charlie's neck. She knew what they were doing was considered wrong, but Charlie’s soft lips against her own made her feel like there wasn’t a thing in the universe that was more right. It put butterflies in her stomach and made her heart pound.

But then Charlie pulled away. Dani opened her eyes, partially worried that she had been too forward. Relief came over Dani once she saw that Charlie was speechless and smiling. That was surely a good sign. At the compliment, Dani bit her lip shyly and pressed her forehead against Charlie’s with a smile. “You are, really.” Dani lightly squeezed Charlie’s hand, “And… I think that’s a good idea.” She nodded slightly, although did nothing to get up and off of the other. It was just nice to be close, and that was okay, right? She didn’t want to rush and possibly ruin things with Charlie, but she also didn't want to move from her spot. And honestly, kissing was pretty innocent...right?

Charlie's arms wrapped around Dani's waist as the girl pulled herself closer, and she couldn't help but notice how perfectly they fit together. It made her mind shoot off in less innocent directions, and she mentally chastised herself for thinking that way. Even if, deep down... She really wanted it. And, from the way Dani was acting, she wondered if her younger companion wanted it too. Soon, soon, and this wouldn't be wrong in society's eyes... At least, Charlie saw it that way.

Although, when was the last time Charlie let society dictate what she did? It was her own want to protect Dani against her less-than-gentle thoughts that made her not want to go any further... Yet.

She didn't want to pull back, but she had to breathe, right? And sometimes it was nice just to look at someone that you were developing feelings for, rather than just kissing all the time. Not that kissing wasn't fun, and Charlie enjoyed Dani's gentle lips immensely. She smiled at Dani's compliment, running her hands down to her lower back as the girl bent in to press their foreheads together. "It's not that I don't... Want to," she explained slowly. "I just... I have this reputation, Dani, and I don't want to ruin things with you because of it." Her reputation wasn't the most pleasant of everyone's - she did get around quite a bit, hooking up with people without much thought - but this was different. Dani was so unlike people she had been interested in before, she was cautiously optimistic that this might be more than just a short spark. To strengthen her words, Charlie tilted her head and kissed the girl again, not wanting to break apart anytime soon.

Charlie’s touch sent shivers down Dani’s spine. She understood why Charlie would want to wait, and all of them were good reasons, but Dani couldn’t help but to want to say ‘screw it’ and well… yeah. Then there was the part of her that also wanted to wait, knowing that rushing into relationships wasn’t always the best of things. Dani wasn’t normally one for serious relationships, but something about Charlie made her really want to try. She was comfortable around Charlie and something just seemed right, even if she knew it was wrong.

Dani didn’t know too much about Charlie’s reputation, but Dani couldn’t deny that she had the best reputation herself, so she couldn’t blame the other. Dani was known for being a heart breaker because she didn’t want to be committed or tied down. Charlie seemed to be changing that, though. The idea both scared and excited Dani. “It’s okay.” Dani nodded. If anything, she was happy to hear that Charlie seemed want to actually have something (whatever it was) with Dani past this night.

Charlie welcomed the kiss, grinning into it. She ran her hand through Charlie’s hair and playfully bit the other’s lower lip. Her free hand fumbled innocently with the strap on Charlie’s shoulder. She knew she said they should be good, but she couldn’t help herself with the innocent teasing.

If Dani wasn't going to be the one saying 'stop' in this relationship, that meant it.... Probably wouldn't be said at all. Charlie really had no self-control when it came to pretty people. Especially pretty people that were as wonderful and as lovely on the inside as they were on the outside, like Dani. If she could just hold up for a liiiittle longer, this wouldn't be a problem. Yes, Charlie was going to try her very hardest not to take this too fast. Most of her relationships were like a firecracker - a lot of sizzle at first, a big bang, and then nothing.

Firecracker really just explained her entire life so well.

Both of them having had quick past relationships was just begging for disaster, but something told Charlie that maybe, just maybe, this could work out. She wasn't ready to be exclusive yet, not by a long shot, but this was definitely the beginning of something wonderful. Charlie was definitely going to have a hard time keeping her hands off the girl at work...

Dani seemed to be getting more playful now, and it made the lust running through Charlie's mind even stronger. Damn it. She tugged her lips away and dipped her head to Dani's throat, kissing the sensitive skin on the side of her neck. And then Dani's hand was fumbling with the strap of Charlie's bra, and she almost lost it right then, reaching back to unhook the back of the garment and just...

No, she couldn't. She forced (yes, forced, it was extremely difficult) herself to pull away from Dani, giving her one last soft peck on the lips before tilting backwards and just staring at her. "You're amazing, Dani," she breathed, smiling gently," I just... Not yet. But soon. I promise." What exactly did she mean by that? Who knew?

Although they had just agreed not to let things go too far just a couple minutes before, neither of them seemed to be interesting in stopping any time soon. A soft gasp escaped from Dani’s throat as Charlie started kissing her neck, and she pushed herself even more against the other. By this point, Dani had already forgotten that they were still in a public place and how if anyone was able to see them, it could end very badly. She felt Charlie reach for the back of her bra to unhook it, and Dani couldn’t hold back her grin.

… But then Charlie pulled away again. As a reaction, Dani pouted, suddenly realizing the situation they were putting themselves into. She really liked Charlie, and did want things to work out, but she couldn’t deny that she had little self-control around Charlie. She sucked in a breath, realizing that she had been holding it for longer than expected, and nodded as Charlie spoke. The other was right, and Dani knew it as much as she didn’t want to listen at the moment. Plus. Soon. Hopefully not too far from now… right? Dani knew it would be best to wait until her birthday, but she preferred to think she wouldn’t have to wait THAT long. (Really, it was around the corner but felt like it was months away…)

Dani smiled and gave Charlie a quick kiss before finally getting up and off of Charlie’s lap. “You’re… astounding.” She muttered softly, a bit of her awkwardness coming through again. She offered a hand to help Charlie up. “Wanna walk a bit?” She offered, thinking that if they walked, it’d help Dani from trying to jump Charlie’s bones.

Dani's skin was intoxicating, and Charlie's lips traced small lines down her smooth neck, feeling the younger girl press even closer to her. She grinned into it then, giving a gentle nip as her hands traced the gentle curves of the girl's hips. It was a very good thing no one was around to see this, because they would certainly get into some sort of trouble. Either that, or they would run. Which wouldn't be a first for Charlie. It was fun to break the rules sometimes, as long as no one got hurt.

But Dani could in this situation, which was how Charlie found the effort to stop. The pout on Dani's face made her heart squeeze, but she knew, in the long run, it was for the best. And really, it wouldn't be all that long - Dani's birthday was only weeks away. They could kiss in secret in The Holey Land in the meantime. Yes. That would satiate Charlie's desire.... She hoped.

She reached out a hand and brushed it through the girl's hair, gladly returning the quick kiss. "You're incredible," Charlie replied, unable to hide a cheeky grin. She was just so. stinking. cute. She took Dani's hand and pulled herself up, nodding in agreement. "Sure! But, I should probably put this back on first," she sighed, picking up her shirt and tossing it over her shoulders once more. "There." Entwining her fingers with Dani's, she picked up their things and started a slow walk away from the car, down to the edge of the lake. The sun was setting, painting the water in a rainbow of colors. Charlie let out a content hum, resting her head on Dani's shoulder as they paused at the edge. "I'm so glad I met you," she murmured.

As their fingers entwined, Dani’s heart beat a little faster and a shy smile tugged at the corners of her lips. She wouldn’t deny the fact that she was a little bummed that Charlie decided to put her shirt back on, but she wouldn’t complain. There was always time later to get it off again. She hoped. But that was something to think about later.

The view from the edge of the lake was astonishing, and the mix of colors washing over the lake made for a picture perfect evening. Dani gave Charlie’s hand a little squeeze and rubbed her thumb softly over the other’s thumb. When she felt the weight of Charlie’s head on her shoulder, Dani turned her head and rested it on top of Charlie’s head, taking in the sweet smell of Charlie’s shampoo. “I’m glad I met you too.” Dani mumbled into Charlie’s hair. “I… really like you.” The line came out very quietly, and Dani nuzzled herself against Charlie’s hair even more after she spoke. Dani was never one for saying things like that, thus causing a shy side of her that not many people had the chance to see.

Charlie sighed in content as Dani's head rested on hers, and she squeezed her hand gently. Her quiet confession had Charlie grinning, thought it was a loving one rather than wicked. "I like you," she replied, giggling at the feeling of Dani's face nuzzling her hair. "And not just for your amazing coffee art." How could she have known that hiring a girl just based on her artistic skill could lead to this?

The sun continued to sink on the horizon, until it disappeared completely and the stars came out. It was probably getting late, maybe close to Dani's curfew, but Charlie didn't really care - she didn't want this night to end anytime soon.
