Nicknames: Belle by her mother (After the Disney Princess - Emilee actually prefers being called Belle over Emilee, and mostly introduces herself as Belle), Em by her grandparents, "Freak" during her elementary and middle school years.
Age: 16, Born on December 11, 1995

Play By: Dianna Agron
The Details
Hair Color:Long dirty blonde, and usually in waves. She can be seen wearing it straight or up sometimes, but she likes to keep it natural.
Eye Color: It really depends on the lighting. Sometimes her eyes appear green, and other times they appear hazel, almost brown. Her parents used to tease her that when she was sad they would turn brown, but that was never the case.
Any Piercings? None.
Any Tattoos? None.
Any Scars? None that are very noticeable, either than the hole-like openings she has between her shoulder blades where her wings come in and out.
General Appearance:
Emilee looks like the typical girl next door, and she would have continued looking like the typical girl next door if it weren’t for the two giant angel like white wings that sprout painfully out of her back. She has very beautiful long blonde hair, which she is extremely proud about.
Emilee also does not like to wear makeup, she will if she needs to, but prefers not to. She has always been one to keep everything natural and comfortable. She is usually always seen wearing a skirt or a dress of some sort. Even in the winter time, but she layers on stockings, scarfs, and anything to keep herself warm. She is also always seen with her back covered, she is extremely ashamed of the holes in her back, and tries to hide them as much as she can.
She is rather petite, standing only at 5’3, and weighing 115 lbs, soaking wet. Like any other girl she wishes all the time that she was taller and skinnier, but after her recent “freak” accident, as she calls it, Emilee is beginning to care less and less about how people see her.
Personality:
Emilee used to be a very happy child growing up. She was usually always seen with a smile on her face. Her mother used to tell her that her favorite sound was Emilee’s laughter. But when her mother passed away, it seemed like Emilee no longer laughed, or smiled, she also started to go by the name Belle rather than Emilee.
Emilee became very quiet, and began to keep to herself more and more, causing her to get teased in school all the time. She was known as a freak because of her obsession with birds, and bugs. Growing up, Emilee spent most of her time starring at the sky, looking at birds, or starring at the ground looking at different types of insects. Emilee was known for terrifying the other little girls in her school with her bug obsession, and trying to show the other girls her collection. Basically, Emilee can be seen as an odd ball. A very quiet odd ball.
By the time Emilee turned 10, she had almost completely stopped talking, only saying enough to communicate with her father, and the teachers at school. 6 years later, it is still hard to get Emilee to say much, but she’s beginning to get a bit better. Being at Hammel has allowed Emilee to slowly let her guard down, and begin talking to other people, because here she does not feel like such a freak.
Your Vices
Likes:
-Birds, especially the California condor. It might be creepy how much she loves this bird, especially what it does and it represents, but she could never explain her obsession.
-Bugs. All sorts of creepy crawlies. The grosser they look, the more she finds them interesting.
-Clouds, she loves watching clouds. It’s like she’s in her own world she stares up at them, and always wished to be able to play in the clouds. Which is odd considering that she now has wings that can fly her to the clouds, but she’s too scared to actually fly.
-Reading, Emilee absolutely loves to read, especially if it’s about birds or bugs.
-Classical music, it soothes her.
-Dirt. Yeah, it’s a bit weird, but she loves looking through the dirt, especially because of the amount of bugs she usually finds crawling around in the dirt.
Dislikes:
-Loud noises, because of Emilee’s shyness, she is very jumpy and does not like loud noises. She can sometimes be pushed to tears from a noise that’s too loud.
-Thunder Storms, probably one of her biggest dislikes could be a big and loud thunderstorm. She usually on her bed with a flashlight and headset listening to classical music during a thunder storm, her wings usually wrapped around her.
-People who talk too much or too loudly, this goes back to her shyness and fear of loud noises, but people who talk too much tend to overwhelm her as well. She’s a very quiet person, and if she is ever around another person, she prefers them to be quiet as well.
-Crowded Places, and Small Rooms, she likes to be able to know who is around her at all times, and small rooms make her freak out.
Strengths:
-She is good at identifying almost any bird she sees
-And bugs as well
-She can sing well, even if it is mostly just to herself
-She has a very big heart, when she loves someone she loves them to death
-She is also very loyal, even though she had been shunned most of her life, the few people who have shown her any form of compassion, she became very loyal to them
-She appears to be a very good listener, but the real fact is that she’s probably either starring at the sky or ground, so it might seem like she’s listening to you, but she’s in her own world.
Weaknesses:
-Listening, like stated before in her strengths, it is also one of her weaknesses.
-She is too shy for her own good, and this usually prevents her from making friends or getting involved in anything
-She doesn’t talk very much. That is probably her biggest weakness, she usually has no say in any given situation.
-When she is too afraid to do something, she’ll almost never do it in her life, like flying on her wings. It’ll be a very hard thing for her to do, if she ever does.
Fears: Falling to her death when she finally uses her wings.
Secret: Either than the fact that she has never used her wings, she’s also very afraid of cats.
Family Ties
Father: Ronald Harrington, 45, A bank teller
Mother: Amelia May Harrington, Deceased
Siblings: None.
Any Other Important People:A white female canary named Amelia (after her mother) which she keeps in a cage in her dorm room. She's probably the one being that Emilee tells everything to. She absolutely adores her, especially for the fact that like Emilee, the canary has white wings. And of course, for the fact the Amelia is a bird named after her mother.
History
Emilee Belle Harrington was born on December 11, 1995, in Coconino County, Arizona, to the beautiful Amelia Harrington, and the dull Ronald Harrington. Born at 6 lbs 7 oz, Emilee was thought to be a normal and beautiful baby. But growing up it was realized that Emilee was anything but a normal child. From the ripe age of 2 years old, Emilee’s obsession with birds and insects began. She had to collect all different types of insects, and would have a fit if she wasn’t allowed to watch the birds outside. Even though she had such an odd obsession, she was still a very happy and beautiful child growing up. She could always been seen with her mother, and laughing. Emilee’s father was not in her life as much then because he was the bread winner of the family. He was always busy with work, and never had time for Emilee or her mother.
It wasn’t until Emilee turned 5, that her mother was diagnosed with Leukemia. Emilee and Amelia spent almost every waking moment together, Amelia trying her best to live a normal and regular life, and trying to allow Emilee to have one as well. On December 11th, 2001, Emilee’s 6th birthday, it was discovered that Amelia no longer responded to her treatment, and that there was nothing else that could be done for her. Slowly in front of Emilee’s eyes she watched as her mother began to deteriorate. 3 months after the bad news, Amelia was bed ridden and dying. It was this part in her life that Emilee slowly started to retreat within herself. She was barely ever seen by the neighborhood folk anymore, unless she was sitting outside digging in the ground for insects to bring in to show her mother. Emilee sat everyday by her mother’s side, trying her best to read to her, or telling her all sort of stories, only leaving to either go outside to get more insects to show her mother, or for her grade 1 studies, which her father was able to get a home tutor/nanny for Emilee to learn.
On June 23rd, 2002, at 6pm, Amelia May Harrington passed away in her home, after months of suffering, with her daughter and husband by her side. Ronald Harrington took it like any husband would, spending many days crying over the loss of his wife, while Emilee didn’t cry. She completely stopped responding to the name Emilee declaring that her name was now Belle because that was what her mother called her. From this moment on Emilee almost completely stopped talking, just saying enough to survive with her father, who at this point tried his best to be a part of Emilee’s life more. Even though Ronald tried to be home with Emilee more, she would never open up to him like she was with her mother. Emilee loved her father to death, but Ronald wasn’t Amelia. And Ronald knew it. He knew that Emilee wanted her mother more than she wanted him. He wished every night that it would have been him to die rather than Amelia. But he did the best he could to be a good father for Emilee, giving her everything she wanted and needed.
The September after Amelia’s death Emilee was sent to a public school for her second grade. This was her first to interacting with other kids her age, either than the few that played in her neighborhood, and even those ones thought she was odd. It was here that Emilee began scarring other kids away with her quietness, and her obsessions. She was always seen around the school holding some sort of creepy crawly in her hand, and it freaked the other children out. She tried her best to make friends at the school, but found it too difficult because of her awkwardness and her shyness; eventually Emilee just gave up on making friends, and spent most of her time alone.
Growing up, the kids at school mostly avoided her. It wasn’t until her 8th grade, when Emilee was 13 that the teasing began to get out of control. As a child it was just that other students would just laugh at her, or keep away from her, calling her a freak. It was in her 8th grade that Eric Griffith, who was a two years older than her but was held behind, transferred to her school. He was extremely vicious to Emilee. She never understood why, but his reasoning was that she was a freak, and that she needed to be treated differently. After a couple months Eric went from being emotionally abusive to physically abusive. Initially Emilee said nothing about the situation because it never bothered her, she didn’t care what this boy had to say about her, and she would never admit that she was upset. She just went about her days doing what she did, and obsessing over what she obsessed about.
On May 17th, 2009, as Emilee walked through the empty field on her way home from school she was jumped by Eric and his friends. They destroyed her notebook of her bird watching, and tore her backpack and everything inside of it to shreds. After destroying her belongings, Eric and his friends turned on Emilee. Having his friends pin her down, Eric tried to remove her clothing, but because of her squirming and fighting he wasn’t able to. This was probably the first time Eric ever heard her voice, as Emilee began screaming for help as she fought against her assailants. Panicking, Eric punched her in the stomach. The moment that Eric’s fist made contact with Emilee’s stomach, she cried out in pain, but it wasn’t pain from his fist, it was a pain in her back. Sitting there now, Emilee began to shriek in pain, something was going on with her back, and she couldn’t see what was happening, but she knew she was no longer being held down. It was then that Emilee looked at her assailants and saw the fear in the eyes. She looked herself over and realized she was covered in blood, and that there were two large white wings sticking out of her back, the sight caused Eric and his friends to run away in fear. It was then that a neighborhood adult showed up, finding Emilee wrapped in her bloody wings, and called the police. By the time the ambulance appeared to pick up Emilee her wings had already retracted back into her, but the neighborhood adult had already told them what had happened. Emilee was raced to the hospital for blood loss, and kept there for a couple days.
It was on May 20th, 2009, when Emilee had a visitor either than her father and grandparents. It was a Hammel Institute Recruiter. They had heard about her special ability and wanted to reach out to her to attend their school. After a long discussion with Ronald it was decided that Emilee would attend Hammel Institute immediately after her release from the hospital.
On May 21st, 2009, Emilee was released from the hospital, and on May 23rd, 2009, Emilee and Ronald Harrington showed up at Hammel Institute, this beginning Emilee’s new life in Hammel Institute. It was here that Emilee’s life slowly began to turn around. Her first year at Hammel she continued to barely speak to anyone, keeping mostly to herself, but she was able to learn how to begin to control her wings from coming in and out of her back. It was here that Emilee let out her first laugh after years of silence, and here that Emilee can be seen smiling on the odd occasion.
Now the date is June 29, 2011, and Emilee can be seen smiling all the time. It is still rare to see her laughing or hearing her talk but she can be often seen with a smile on her face. She still watches birds religiously, and loves to spend her time subtly digging in the ground with her feet looking for bugs. She has learned to fully control her wings now, but is still too terrified to fly on them, and plans to keep her feet planted on the floor for as long as she can. Emilee talks to her father almost on a daily basis either over the phone or through email, and he tries to visit her at least once a month in Vermont since Emilee does not like to go home to Arizona. Emilee barely talks while she is at school, but when she is in her dorm room it is hard for her to shut up, she talks to her canary about everything that happens to her, about everything she sees. She loves that canary more than she’s ever loved any other bird before, and she absolutely loves talking to it. Emilee can be heard singing with the canary all the time, and reads to the canary like she used to read to her mother. Emilee absolutely loves her canary Amelia, and can sometimes be heard calling her bird, Mom.
Roleplay Example
((This is a random post from the Harry Potter site, the girl, Ami got attacked while she was unknowingly pregnant, and loses her child - Yes. It's a very dramatic, and different Harry Potter. Haha ))
Ami limped her way to the Hospital Wing, she was losing a large amount of blood as she limped closer and closer to the place. Slowly, opening the door to the hospital wing, Ami collapsed at the entrance. She wasn't unconscious, she was just too weak to keep herself up.
Lying there now she heard little foot steps quickly running over to her, "Oh dear! What happened?" There was a shrill in her voice, and Ami knew it to be the voice of Madam Pomfrey. Ami opened her eyes, to look up and see Madam's face above her, the lady kept asking Ami what had happened to her, but Ami couldn't answer, she was beginning to lose consciousness again.
Slowly Madam Pomfrey's voice began to disappear, and her face began fading into black. Once again, the darkness took her. And once again she was sitting next to Greg, a smile plastered onto her face. Their hands were entwined, and she was leaning on him. There was a smile on his face, and the image of it made Ami's heart flutter, but there was something different here. Ami's stomach was large. Very large for her tiny body. She was pregnant? Greg's other hand was rested on her large stomach, and the two of them were laughing together.
Then slowly Ami was being dragged away from her perfect life. She was being pulled back to her old life. She woke up in a bed in the hospital wing. Her body was hurting, but it was bearable. She looked herself over, and noticed that her ribs had a wrap around them. Immediately her hands went to her face, as she remembered what Draco had done, and with a sigh of relief she felt that everything was back to normal.
Painfully sitting up now, she looked around and noticed Madam Pomfrey coming towards her. "Oh you're awake!" The woman chirped and Ami nodded her head, "What happened?" Ami spoke with a little bit of strain in her voice. Madam Pomfrey walked over to Ami's chart and began reading it out to her, "Well Ms.Zhang, you should up here two nights ago, with a few broken ribs, a black eye, a split lip, a few cuts and bruises..." Madam stopped to catch her breath, and then sighed, "And unfortunately you lost your child..." She looked up now to see Ami's reaction.
Ami cringed as she heard all the damage that had been done to her body, but then Madam Pomfrey said it, 'Baby?' Ami thought to herself, and tears began to fall down her cheeks. She had been pregnant with Greg's baby? She began to cry harder and harder, as the images from her dream came back to her.
"You've had a visitor the whole time you've been here," Madam told her softly, as she put Ami's chart down, "He wouldn't leave your side," Madam laughed softly, "I had to send him to go eat, he should probably be back any minute..." She smiled softly at Ami, "When I asked if he was the father, he said he was so I told him what had happened..." And with that Madam Pomfrey made her way back to her office.
Ami sat there, her hand covering her face, as she cried hard into them. That's when she heard the door of the hospital wing open, and she looked up from her crying to see him walk through the door. Seeing him only made her heart break more at the lose of the child. Starring at him now, Ami began to bawl at the death of her unknown child.
