Just Ducky

[Lani Hunter]

A quite lunch. Silly Lani, he really should know better than that. He was supposed to meet up with Caroline at some point but she had been scarce of late. He knew she was busy adapting but he didn't think it was possible to miss someone who was in the same building as him. But he hardly saw her. He yawned a little. This was one of those rare days he decided to attend class, he had a test in one of them. He was pretty sure he aced it but the yelling was getting wearisome. He missed the initial announcement as he walked in but the first thing he saw walking in was Cameron, the one Odion was so sour about. His eyes slid to the person next to him who looked an awful lot like the redhead. But he didn't have red hair. And he looked far too cheerful being so close to Cameron that Lani figured it was more than safe to assume that that was the twin brother of his best friend.

The one that he had never met but didn't like him. He frowned a little. He still couldn't understand why he would be disliked by Declyn. He shook his head a little. He smiled in greeting at one of his roommates. Lani had never really talked to Fer much but he found the boy likeable and at the very least amusing. At least it wasn't Venn, he still wasn't sure whether or not that one still wanted to throttle him. Lani moved to a table nearby where he could blend in and still listen. Information was one of his best trades and it seemed like there was going to be quite a bit of interesting things going on. He crunched numbly on a carrot as he listened. His brows rose as one girl slapped Cameron. That was interesting. When Lani was in the zone he could and would remember everything. Odion would probably be rather interested to know this information.

It would probably be the first time Lani had ever given out information for free. But then this was high school drama, not really worth much in the monetary department. Lani blended rather well and he kept his head down concentrating on his food as to not draw attention to himself. Of course he looked up periodically when something happened so as not to look suspicious when something did happen. "Do you have any idea what's going on?" Lani asked of the person closest to him. Lani had a pretty good idea of what was going on but he wanted to be sure. Always check and double check your sources. He also wanted to be sure he was right in his assumptions, he figured shooting the messenger wasn't going to be out of the question when he told Odion and he would not want to die for flawed information.

[Chester Douglas]

It figures that on the rare occasion that Chester actually stepped foot into the cafeteria for lunch was the day he would regret ever coming in.

The commotion in the center of the cafeteria had him pause in the middle of the line to see what was going on.

His heart sank when he saw his best friend standing up on the table with a goofy grin on his face, declaring that he was, once again, in a relationship with a...redhead. Like that wasn't bad enough, Chester saw people rushing up to Cameron to congratulate him on this momentous occasion.

The redhead looked a little familiar before he realised that the guy looked more or less like Odion Martins. A little mind-reading only confirmed his suspicions. Without even waiting to see the slap happen or even acknowledge the girl hissing at the display of affection Cameron had started, Chester quietly dropped his tray on the nearest surface and turned to the exit.

All hope that he even had for Cameron to even consider him were squashed as he went home for the day. Suddenly, his appetite was shot.

[Takchawee Ominotago]

Tak shrugged at Carter. "I don't know. I'll talk to him about it - maybe there's still hope!" She doubted it, but it was worth a shot. Who knew?

It was at that point that a head of pink hair stormed through the room, and created an audible SMACK as she slapped Cam without warning. "What the hell!?" Tak exclaimed, half-laughing, half-confused. That was uncalled for. At least, in her opinion - what, did Cam do to deserve that? She could only wonder. "Looks like someone needs to get laid," she murmured out of the corner of her mouth to Carter. Seriously, she needed to lighten up - it wasn't like he had just gotten married. Relationships didn't always last.

A familiar head of red hair caught Tak's attention, and she watched with mild satisfaction as she saw Chester's reaction to the news. What delicious drama. She could only wonder if he would be coming to her later that day or week, and just how rough he would be due to what she was sure would be rage and extreme disappointment. "Maybe we could ask Chester," she smirked, nodding as the redhead left the room. "He might be game."

[Carter Chevalier]

"The ginger boy looks a little... Green." Carter noted, raising his hand to point idly at him. Too green. The kind of green that tries to stick their penis in someone's ear because a hole is a hole, right? Heh. Carter chuckled to himself and shook his head.

Smack!

"...Huh." He mused, tilting his head slightly in curiosity.

Though he did chuckle at Tak's other comment. Yes, sometimes people needed that to happen to get a different opinion of things in the world. "Chester?" He asked curiously, looking around to see who she was motioning towards. "Whoever you think might work."

[Odion Martins]

Odi wasn’t interested in lunch as he remained in the shadows. He rolled his eyes as Cameron Osiris nearly toppled him over in trying to get past. And then, his eyes hardened as he saw who he was dragging idly behind him. Apparently his opinion didn’t matter in the slightest to Declyn, and Odi didn’t feel surprised. Declyn was going to get hurt and Odion was going to have to say I told you so when it was all said and done, because Cameron was the type... to...

Odion heard everything, every single word that came out of the guy’s mouth standing on top of the table. He saw Dec’s reaction to it all, the disgusting people that immediately flocked like Cameron was some kind of superstar.

“Mother fucker,” Odion said to no one in particular. He was going to rip someone’s throat out. He hadn’t heard who this proclaimed boyfriend was, but he knew already. Odi stood there watching everything unfold: the cheers, the hugs, and the grand finale. He had to smile at that part, at least someone was doing that. Odi watched Mia head towards him, well, where he was near the exit. He watched her with amused eyes. Odion knew how she felt about Cameron after having read her journal.

This was perhaps a bigger mess than the one he had found himself in at school a few months ago. Dark blue eyes now black went over to the crowd again, Cameron holding Dec’s hand once more. Odi, apparently, had a lot more things to keep an eye on now.

[Ravyn Rozanova]

Ravyn was all smiles and laughs as words were shared between everyone. It was all going well until that familiar head of pink hair showed itself through the crowd, and Ravyn flinched as Mia gave Cam a SMACK.

"Mia, what the he-" Rayvn was cut off as the girl whispered something in Cam's ear, and he said something in return. Ravyn wasn't sure what words were shared, but by the looks on each of their faces (and obviously the slap), she knew it wasn't good. Crap. She considered following after her, but as Mia stormed out of the room she caught a glimpse of Noah following her. That Fer guy was going too. If anyone could help Mia, it was Noah, and so Ravyn hesitantly turned back to the group, quickly getting caught up in the happiness once again.

"Yeah, Callie and I were totally talking about how cute you were!" Ravyn agreed, nodding enthusiastically. "I had no idea this would happen, though. I'm so happy for you guys!" And she really was. There wasn't a bit of jealousy left in Ravyn - Cam was happy, this Dec guy seemed good for him, and all was well. She just wished she could be happy like this again soon. She wrapped an arm around Callie, giving the boys a grin. "We should all hang out sometime," she suggested brightly. That would be fun!
