Strolling down the lake, JT wondered what he was doing with his life. He didn’t really want to go back to school, but he was seriously considering opening up a magic shop, or maybe a comic book shop, or maybe even a game shop. He couldn’t decide, but he was getting tired of living at home and doing nothing. Well, other than when plays were going on.

Still, he needed someone different. And that, came about in terms of his powers. When trying to change into a young boy to freak him out, JT found himself morphing into something a little furrier. A dog, to be exact. And he didn’t so much freak the little boy out as he impressed him. He didn’t want to be man’s best friend though, and quickly returned to normal, a smile on his face.

“It’s basically like being a doppelganger of animals...” he said, changing from a small caterpillar to a lark. It didn’t hurt at all, in fact, he almost preferred it. He smiled proudly at himself. Yes, this should keep him entertained for a while.

Matt hadn't felt different the night before. Instead he was the same old Matt living out the same old routine. He was who he was, but was still him. Nothing like this was what he had expected. For him life was to be enjoyed, simply and peacefully, without the complications of the meta human gene that his sister suffered from. So when he had woken up this morning... well he knew something was off.

When he had woken up late, Lulu jumping on his bead and such, Matt found himself to be reacting against that, moving away. This might be seemingly normal, but for him... well it was odd. Normally he would have just slept the day away. His day continued to get more confusing as things started to happen and he had terrible migraines. For a moment of few he even forgot where he was. Literally forgot. It was just weird to put it lightly.

Basically he was trying to figure it out(maybe he was sick?) while he took a walk down by the lake. It was just him and the water, trying to clear his head. Matt didn't talk much but this was really really freaky. When he saw the man shifting from animal to animal Matt just shook his head. He had just wanted to think quietly by himself, no more, no less. This... This was bound to be a disaster. Matt tried to walk past the man, hoping he wouldn't notice. That was the last thing that was wanted in this situation.

Now he was just having fun. If he could hum to himself while changing into a bear and then a peacock, he would, but he was pretty sure those animals didn’t hum and it would come out much differently than he intended. Yes, this was just the pep in his step that he needed.

Getting a bit overzealous, JT changed from a cat, into himself again, knocking into someone. “Oh, sorry about that,” he said, righting the other guy who seemed to be a bit younger than him. “Just got this different power than the one I’m used to, thought I’d try it on for size.” You know, as if this kid really cared.

Matt tried to ignore the changing man. He didn't want to deal with this but he had to. Matt sighed thinking of how it was much easier to just be a hermit. Being a hermit might just be the better thing to do. After all he was used to ignoring people. People were scary after all.

Matt found himself moving out of the way as soon as he was bumped into. That in itself was weird. He would have just normally let himself be bumped into. He did have not the best of reflexes as it would seem. Frowning he turned to the man and shook his head. "It's fine." Wait... did he just say different power? That wasn't a good sign. he wondered if Dani was all right, he hoped she was. "Different power? what did you have before?"

JT scratched the back of his head and shrugged, his lips pulled down in a frown but his eyes were still smiling. "Doppleganger," he said, smiling once more. "Now it seems I have animal mimicry, but who knows, this could all be a dream." This kid seemed pretty shy, Jaythen wondered if he was always like this or if something was wrong.

"Why? Do you have a different power?" He asked. Or maybe he knew someone that did. Was some strange sickness going on around town.

"Oh no," he said dramatically, "what if this is the last day we have on earth?!" He asked, raising his arms in the air. To be or not to be indeed.

A doppelgänger? Really? There was such a power as that? Matt really had no idea. Well that was different. He knew there were many different powers in the world but he wasn't expecting to encounter someone as a Doppelgänger. To go from that sort of power to a new one, such as animal mimicry, well it had to be scary. "It could just be a dream..." Somehow though Matt didn't think it was. Especially since he felt so different.

"I didn't have a power before..." Did this mean he had one now? The thought was preposterous to say it simply. "err... Are non meta's affected as well." did that mean he had a power. Oh shit. This wasn't a good idea.

Matt gave a frown as the man began with his dramatics. This wasn't a joking matter no matter how much the other man thought it was. "What could have caused this?" Matt really wasn't in a joking matter.

JT ran a hand through his long hair. “Waste of a dream if you ask me,” he said, regarding the boy. He wasn’t anyone he’d met before, so why would he dream about someone like that? He’d much rather be dreaming of something better, like a girl seducing him, or something better than having a random power and a random guy to talk to.

“Affected by what? My dream?” That didn’t seem probably, even by meta standards. JT finally shook his head ‘no’, except he really didn’t know the answer.

“We should investigate,” he said, wondering if anyone he knew had been affected – was Ricio alright? What about his brother? Oh man, what about his own brothers? “I’d call a friend, but he doesn’t have a phone so...” Yeah, this kid was going to have to do the legwork.

Matt was kind of sort of freaking out. This whole thing was new and he didn't know how to explain it. For him this sort of thing was odd and it was something that he didn't know how to explain. "Well if it isn't a dream what is it?" Damn this stupid migraine, He wasn't able to think correctly with it.

"No...This is something else." Matt didn't know what was what and who had what anymore. it was all just so confusing. "I'm not sleeping and your not sleeping, so it's not a dream. "What in the world is it?"

Matt wasn't too entirely sure about interacting with this man. After all he had just met him and it wasn't normal for someone to ask another to adventure so quickly. "What should we investigate? How?" There wasn't much the two of them could do anyway if they did decide to investigate. " I don't know..."
