Valerie laid down the picnic blanket over the sand and squealed before lying down on her front, her shades thrown to the front as she folded her arms under her chin.

"Oh my God, I can't believe we're here together again. Val and Spence." She said in a sing song voice, wiggling her butt a little while pulling a magazine from her bag. She flipped her hair over her shoulder and turned to Spencer with a grin.

"So, you've been here long. Any cute boys I should keep my eye out on?"

It was perhaps one of the last warm days of the year, though it was only in the low 70s, and they were going to take advantage of it. Not only that, but Spencer was finally back together with her childhood best friend. If that didn't automatically make the day perfect, she didn't know what would.

She was smiling ear-to-ear as she settled down next to Valerie, propping herself up on her elbows. "Do you have aaannny idea how much I missed you?" She giggled, her eyes sparkling. It had been way too long.

Leave it to Val to be the first to bring up boys. Good to see things hadn't really changed since she left home. "Well... yeahhh, but..." She started to turn a little pink in the face. "I've got the cutest one of all." She tilted her head down so that her hair fell in front of her face.

She turned to face Spencer with an affectionate grin. "If it's anything like how I've missed you, I think I might have an idea." Valerie made kissy faces at Spencer, nudging her best friend by the shoulder.

The grin on her face widened before she squealed, throwing her magazine aside and tackling Spencer into the sand. "Oh my God, lady!" She giggled as she hugged the blonde tightly.

"We Skype practically every night and you don't tell me? Spill!"
