TIME WARP: Last Time (Everyone? lol)

And you thought no party could top last time?

TK looked over his work, and stood amazed.

This party was going to go down in history as the party. It was never going to be topped, and he doubted seriously that next year he'd be able to do better. He, of course, was going to try, rest assured. 2012 was going to have a killer party, but right now, in 2011, this was the place to be.

His current roommates were going to have to deal, of course. To TK, their opinion of it mattered but not enough for him to put off the party. It had been a stressful year, and it was apparent that he was not going to be continuing on to his senior year like the rest of his class. Nope. TK was going to be a second-year junior... Not that he cared, anyway. He had his entire future planned out, and graduating from school was not a necessity. As long as he could translate anything, he could make a living. There was no way in hell his profession was ever going to become deprecated, so what did he have to lose? TK could afford to have fun and not suffer the consequences of, supposedly, not having an education. He was educated enough though. Any language in the book? DONE. Education enough.

His room was decked out. Punch bowl (spiked, of course), snacks a plenty. You name it, his party was decked with it. How could it not be? TK had to make sure he wasn't going to go down as throwing "that" party that flopped.

There were about ten other students floating in the room and in the hall, drinks in hand, a random red cup already thrown to the floor. Not like he cared. Music was blaring, and people were still coming. Just as planned. It was "supposed" to start at eight, but, as planned, people didn't show up until eight-thirty. It was now nearing nine, and more and more people were showing up. Just as planned.

This was going to be the party. For sure.

Second year at Hammel, and Jean was pretty sure he was getting the hang of this no-parents-do-whatever-you-want-just-don't-get-caught sort of thing. So when he heard about a party, he thought hey! Why not. Never mind that he was only thirteen and his very presence made this party extra illegal. He didn't know that sort of thing anyway. He just heard that there was gonna be some rad snacks and some music that was so loud he couldn't actually hear the words, and figured that this was how you got Cool.

There was indeed a plethora of snacks and loud music. There was also a lot of cooler, older kids, who mostly gave him amused looks as he trotted by. He decided he ought to start talking to people soon! So he picked the closest person and said: "Hi! This party is awesome."

Well...at least he isn't shy.

Much like Jean, Amber had only heard about TK's party through the grapevine. However, not being invited wasn't going to stop him from showing up; after all, it was a party, which meant lots of people, and probably junk food and silly games.

Even better, it was being thrown on by TK, who was, in Amber's very expert opinion really awesomely cool. He also had a way cooler power than Amber's, which wasn't that surprising; everyone had a way cooler power than turning into a spider.

"Hey, hey, hey TK!" He waved furiously at the host, not caring that the Senior probably didn't even know who he was; high school seniors weren't known for paying too much attention to the underclassmen.

"This is the best party ever."

Never mind that every party was the best ever while he was there; he meant it at the time.

He made his way over to the punch bowl, scooping himself a glass. It didn't cross his mind that it might be spiked; as far as he was concerned that only happened in movies, or in urban legends meant to make parties seem scary.

Amos slipped in sideways, as though touching any surfaces on his way into the party would somehow dampen the atmosphere. He had a migraine behind his left eye and a heavy sense of obligation to appear cool. He was wearing a startlingly purple shirt.

As expected, the trickle of a rumor had given way to a sea of people, few of whom Amos was formally acquainted with. Even the host was practically a stranger to him; he knew TK, of course, from newspaper club, but only in a work capacity. The further he progressed into the fray, the more the music rattled his teeth, and he paused while he scanned the vicinity for people he knew.

The corners of his mouth quirked upward when he finally spotted a familiar face.

"Best party ever?" He said to Amber, although over the near-tangible vibrations of the music it was more of a shout. He offered a grin. "Can I quote you on that in my up and coming article in The Bugle?"

He paused, squinting at his companion and the red Solo cup he had just sloshed a generous amount of punch into.

Being naturally suspicious, he gave the air above the punch bowl a wary sniff. It didn't do much good; his nose was permanently stuffy. That didn't inhibit his ability to make educated guesses.

He served himself a cup anyway. That would teach everyone to assume that he was an incurable square at parties.

Then again, even the kid running around looked more at home here than he did. As long as nobody let him get a crack at the punch bowl, Amos figured, it was no harm done.

He took a long, hypocritical sip.

She could hear the booming bass of the music from down the hallway. Ryann walked a little faster, her usually clicking heels muffled by the carpet. She’d dressed her best for tonight, hoping the party would be as fun as advertised. Just in case it wasn’t, she’d already had a few shots from her bottle of rum that was stashed in her room. She’d even lit them on fire before tossing back for good luck. Now her head was pleasantly buzzing and she was ready to go.

Ryann tucked a tiny plastic bag full of several little pills into her bra before entering into the mayhem. It was after nine, which Ryann had hoped would be a perfectly late arrival time. It seemed she was right, as there were already many people crammed into the room. ”Hi TK!” she bubbled, expecting him to remember her but not expecting too much attention. She was only a junior, but she knew she was hard to forget. She went straight for the punch bowl, filling a cup and taking a large gulp. ”Hey, you should put more alcohol in this! I can barely taste it,” she shouted over the music. If TK really wanted this party to be fun, he would take her advice. For now, at least it made for some tasty juice.

She refilled her cup and carried it into the center of the room. A flash of purple caught her eye, and she recognized Amos and Amber already engaged in conversation. For some reason there was a younger kid here, too. Younger students were not Ryann’s cup of tea. She tended to scare them off, and she did not want to be responsible for getting a baby drunk or…anything else. She decided she’d rather interrupt Amber and the fashion disaster.

”Hey, guys,” she approached with a nod, and another sip of her punch. ”Did I hear someone say this is the best party ever?” Ryann didn’t feel she could make a judgment on that quite yet, but so far she’d crashed a few college parties that had way more booze. However, the night was still young.

[Robbie Wilkes]

Robbie heard about the party and of COURSE he had to attend. He begged Dani like the little brat he was and after a lot of persuading and a lot of...other persuasions, the voice mimic finally gave in to his incessant whining. Mostly so he would shut up about it.

The place was already filling up with people Robbie personally knew and some he didn't. He waved to Jean, remembering him from the flag episode. That was a hilarious meet and a ridiculous incident he wouldn't mind happening again.

He had his arms tight around Dani's waist as he greeted everybody around. He of course introduced all asunder of Dani as his girlfriend. He happened by a tall brunette and smiled at her. "Hey Amber." He noted the newcomer, the darker-haired teen, boy this time. "Hey...Amos, right?" They had a few classes together but their relationship was acquaintance level at best. He waved the boy down and walked to the other end of the room to deposit Dani. "I know, I'm a bad boyfriend leaving you here but I love you and I will make it all up to you later."

He gave her a long kiss and walked to the punch bowl and poured himself a cup. He raised it to the air and with his loudest voice, he announced. "Let's get this party started!" He almost sloshed the contents of his cup on a dark haired female behind him but thankfully he didn't and instead emptied it into his mouth. It was quite fortuitous that an upbeat party music started playing so he bobbed his head up and down while pumping his fists in the air.

TK smiled, waving at everyone who spoke to him on their way in to the party. Things were coming along niiiicely. He wasn't sure how much alcohol was in the punch, but from what Ryann said, there needed to be more. He could take care of that… in a second. There was now a judgement call he had to make.

While, yes, all of them were 'technically' underage -- though, it's hard to describe how one is only technically underage -- drinking was okay for them because, well, every other teen did it and it's not like they were out at some random house party getting hammered. No. They were within the walls of Hammel, and if something went wrong, there would always be someone around to fix it.

But for him, the little one, to be here? That might, for lack of a better phrase and in the most figurative-sense, 'start a fire.' But, who was he to deny the little man of some fun? But, he was going to make sure he didn't get alcohol poisoning.

TK made his way to Jean and kind of almost forced him to look directly at him. "Don't drink ANYTHING."… and Papa TK went to go and further spike the punch. He wasn't sure what he was pouring into it now, but it was clear and he heard it was good.

…what? He told Jean, and he had to be here with friends, right? Someone would make sure he didn't drink the punch.

"Amos!" A grin split Amber's face at the sight of his friend; he hadn't realized that the other boy was attending. In fact, he hadn't thought that the other student was the partying sort. But who didn't enjoy a good party?

"Yeah, sure, quote me, everyone will go, OH, Amber thought it was a rad party, too bad I wasn't there, and they'll be really sorry to miss it." He decided, following Amos as the other boy made his way to the punch bowl. "If they aren't already sad they missed it 'cause TK held it."

The arrival of Ryann caused another smile. "Of course! Don't you think so? This is a great party."

As long as none of the dorm monitors crashed it; that would inevitably put a damper on festivities. Dorm monitors weren't known for their sense of fun, as far as Amber was concerned.

"But maybe if you're gonna do interviews you should talk to the host," He suggested, returning his attention to Amos before mirroring the other boy and taking a long sip of the punch.

Now that TK was finally adding alcohol to the mixed punch, Ryann felt a little more optimistic about this party’s potential. However, nothing much had happened yet. ”It’s alright, but I think it needs more—“ She started to answer Amber, but was interrupted as a loud newcomer bumped her from behind, almost spilling his punch on her before downing the whole thing.

Ryann rolled her eyes and turned to face him. ”Hey, klutz-monkey, watch it! You spill on this dress and you’re buying me another one. You don’t want to know how much it cost.” He didn’t need to know she’d found it at a discount store. Besides, she worked hard to find exactly perfect pieces of clothing, and this dress at a decent price had been a difficult find.

She nudged him to the side to get to the improved punch bowl and poured herself another full cup. Ryann wasn’t sure what TK had put in it, but the flavors didn’t work together too well for her. She grimaced as she swallowed, but didn’t complain. At least she could taste the booze now. Ryann quickly stepped away from it, hoping others would take a drink as well. Except for monkey-boy. She glared mildly at him, assuming that more alcohol for him would mean more spilled beverage for everyone.
