since I love my fellow Hammelites so much I think I'm going to share a litle bit of my poetry with you. All that I ask is basic internet courtesy. No flaming, and no stealing of my intellectual property. Other than that feel free to comment and tell me what you think! I'd love your feed back, opinions, corrections, all those things! It's what makes a writer grow you know :3

Gemini in the Mirror

For a time now- I rest
my mind and soul
unrest- it follows
so I stare at
the mirror
to the hollow wraith inside
[who of course doth stare back at me]
her blank eyes- aghast

She speaks in third person
of a strange way- yet
this one- she is
just a mirror girl
reflected
she speaks "This One"
third person- so as to forget
she's me- estranged
and while this world
rages- this one bends as willow limbs
poor mirror girl- so strange
she simply- breaks







Empire

the smell of grass upon the air
oh feathered fingers- Reach!
towards the heaven- Angels aerie
the earths calm presence- breach

dew upon the verdant ends
collected from the breath of night
ambrosia from the day before
whisked away by sun's first light

Past the place I used to know
Where thoughts used to grow
aomeone is sleeping
someone is speaking
Echoes of angels
crying
they won't return

It rises in the back of your mind
you don't know why you're here
just waiting
for someone to put you back together

You sit and stare out
All right, just fine
tell me
what are you waiting for

Past the place you might have turned
Anger of angels
who still won't return
you sit
and wait
for someone to put you back together

Whisper, For you walk Upon My Dreams

Whisper in the yard
to the ghosts inside you mind
Whisper to the sky
When you feel yourself go blind
Whisper to the tres
When your haunted by the past
Whisper to yourself
For you know this might not last

Speak to the hungry faces
When what you see makes no sense
Speak softly to the people
for they tend to get so tense
Speak slowly to the ghosts
for they are also lost
Speak you mind when your alone
Keep ideas that would be tossed

Tread carefully on the water
For you might fall through
Tread softly on the earth
She might decide to swallow you
Tread softly in the air
You don't know what you can't see
Please tread softly here
For you walk upon my dreams

oh the angels
singing quietly
whispering words
wish I could be free

black ink fall on me
make my heart bleed!
just leave me lying here
so I can see

oh the angels
let snow fall on me
cover me softly
just bury me

I'm immaterial
with many names
I'm in a dream
oh am I sane

Don't ask my name
it won't be the same
I'm something immaterial
that will forever change

oh the angles, singing quietly
let snow fall, just bury me
black ink fall, and feather fly
make my heart bleed
so I can say goodbye
