Welcome to Hammel Institute, Ariana.
Screw and you, Aria thought. And it's Aria, not Ariana! She pushed back a loose lock from hair behind her ears and simply scowled at the main office. It took days to get here - a place where she would probably never ever enjoy staying at - because she originally lived states away in a pleasant little place called Cloudsborough, Minnesota with her best buds ever. She had promised to call them whether she could or could not because she didn't want them to worry. Aria was a jerk, but underneath that tough little shell was a young girl. As much as she enjoyed being the brawn, she had some brains as well.
Aria knew from the beginning, whether she had her powers or not, she was the powerhouse of her group of friends. She knew her limits though. There were plenty of things the others were good at but she wasn't good at. The point was that she was a pretty decent runner up though. Many would see her as a cocky girl, which she was, but she only did so to make sure nobody doubted her confidence-even if she didn't have to prove anything.
Even in this office, she was ready for a fight. She was sucking on a Watermelon Jolly Rancher; pink always toned down the extent of the powers she could use. It also toned down the extent of which her body was deteriorating through the use of her powers. There were adults around, definitely: teachers. Aria wrinkled her nose in dismay. She never liked authority. But since she was brought here, Aria would probably have to deal with them. who was she to them? A juvenile delinquent was her best bet. Surprisingly, even now, she didn't know this was a place for metahumans to train themselves in their powers.
It was probably weird to think that it was within a normal human's capability to ravage an entire hospital room with the strength and fury of a bull. But Aria though she was capable of doing anything she set her mind on doing - including that. All of that just added to inflating her large enough ego.
Aria scoffed mentally. As if anything stopped her ego from inflating. It was more that people took on that job-like teachers and parents for instance. Oh, how she hated those adults; they always told her to grow up! Wasn't she grown up already?
Aria never got to find out, even with the obvious clues given to her in her home town.
The only proof she could find would be right here-in the real world.
She gulped and began to speak, "Excuse me. Can anyone tell me why I'm here? Is this a juvenile delinquent center or something because I'm not that engrossed in that kind of idea?" She had a very exasperated disposition as she frowned at whoever would listen to her. However, she still had to repeat a mantra to herself to stay calm. This is not the end, this is not the end, this is not the end... I'm not in any trouble. I'm just here for doctors to check up on me or something. Yeah, that's why I had to pack up and all of that.
