Deep breaths. Just take those and no one will think you're suspicious she told herself as she seat in the empty classroom, taking her own advice as she did indeed take her own advice. There was a festival going on that night. Not just any festival, but an Asian festival at that, a chance to celebrate her heritage...but she could not go. Not without an adult, and she felt no adult would be willing to take a child to a festival like that, late at night, especially a child from Hammel.
So Sayaka had not even bothered to ask anyone, and instead had let her emotions get the better of her as she fled to an empty classroom. It hadn't taken long at all, and already Sayaka couldn't remember if the door had been locked or not. Even if it had, well, gravity could well solve a lot of problems. Regardless, the girl was sitting there in one of the desks, nearly curled up into a ball with her head on her knees, tears at the edges of her eyes. On one hand, if she did try to break out to go to the festival, and got caught, something bad might happen. She had no idea how bad, but something would happen.
On the other hand, if she didn't go....well, it'd be running away from her culture, her heritage. She could dig out. Tweak the gravitational attraction between the ground and the Earth's pull. But she had no idea what kind of consequences that might have, or if her power might stay stable. She tried to keep her composure as she sat there in that empty room, unable to think of a way to get to the festival without causing some kind of trouble.
