It's too cold to have gym outside today. You know what that means? Dodgeball. Featuring Dakota Clemson, Kevin Bailey, Lucy Serrano, and Remington Flannery

[Kevin Bailey]

Yay gym! Kevin loved gym! It wasn’t swimming or anything, but it was a pretty close second. Anything that didn’t involve mathematics or science was a great way to pass the time in his books. And books! He loved books too. But this was phys ed, and he was going to have fun.

Having changed into his shorts and what not, Kevin was a little disappointed that they weren’t going outside today. But that wasn’t going to stop him from having fun! The balls were lined up in the center of the gym and Kevin just knew what was happening today. A sure fire grin spread across his face. Sometimes, he liked being small and speedy.

“I’m on this side!” He announced to anyone listening, readying himself on the left hand side of the gym, hand against the wall. Kevin was ready to pounce as soon as the whistle was blown.

[Lucy Serrano-Blaise]

Shit yeah. This was the one thing that Lucy could say she liked about American schools. In Australia, gym wasn't mandatory and there was no dodgeball. So she was keen. And thankful that she was a good shot. The gym shorts for her were really more like bicycle shorts, but she didn't care because at least it meant she was able to move. Her shirt was black too, printed with the school logo.

It meant her arm tattoos were showing, though this time they weren't moving on her skin.

Sizing up the others, Lucy wanted to go with whoever was as keen as she was. So when the younger guy jumped up she shrugged, deciding that logically he was a smart choice. "Me too." She replied, tying up her long dark hair and running over to the left hand side, touching her hand on the wall. She smirked at her newfound partner Kevin. They could do this.

[Dakota Clemson]

Kota could honestly say that gym class was like a living nightmare for her. She was a small girl with little to no strength or speed. She wasn't at all athletic and had no real coordination. Over all, she was weak, skinny, breakable girl. At her old school she had actually sprained her ankle twice and broken her pinky in gym class. That was majorly due to the fact that other kids seemed to find it fun to pick on Kota. She really hoped this gym class would be a little bit better. Yet somehow she doubted that, being that the school was full of metas and all.

Once Kota had her gym clothes on, which had changed in the bathroom stall itself and not in the actual locker room, she headed out into the gym. She paused and looked around quickly trying to decide where to go. Her old school had done team captains but it seemed like they did it differently at this school. Kota could already feel herself starting to panic but she tried her best to calm. She quickly headed to the closest side, the left side, and leaned against the wall, trying to use her long blonde hair as sort of curtain from the rest of the kids. She really just wanted to get the class over as soon as possible.

[Remington Flannery]

Rem was excited for phys. ed now that he was in a new school. Being inside would make things a little easier for him, since every time he had been in an outdoor gym class it had just been a little too tempting for him to spread his wings. After changing into his running shorts and a tank top he walked out of the locker room and into the gymnasium.

Looking around he spotted the balls lined up and knew exactly what the plan was and smiled broadly. He loved this game, he was light and generally fast making it easy for him to get out of the way. The only downside was that he had to try to keep his face to the other side so that the balls wouldn’t hit his wings.

He looked around to see if he recognized anyone and spotted his roommate. “Hey Lucy, this should be fun! You like dodge ball?” he asked lining up beside her along the wall.

Kevin looked at the girl beside him with tattoos on her arms, and a little ‘o’ was formed with his lips. He’d never thought about getting tattoos, but he still thought they were cool. He leaned over to give her a high five if she was willing, and smiled at the competition.

The whistle was blown and Kevin ran for the balls. He was small, but he was fast. Kevin bounced backwards and within a few moments, the ball went sailing. He hit someone on the shoulder blade and he made a little fist that pumped into the air.

“Got someone!” Kevin said, looking to his team for support. So far, so good.
