A Page of Memories (Rhett)

[Loui Just]

Rhett deiced where the two would meet that day. He liked the outdoors, so when the two discussed the study session it wasn't a big surprise he had chosen the courtyard. At H.I, you didn't get much more outdoors than that. Lou woke up at twelve that saturday, he loved to sleep late, in his boxers. He felt warm that night so pajamas weren't really an option. He rolled off his blue sheets revealing his muscular body. He shook his long hair out, it falling right into place, as he stood up figuring out what he was planning on wearing. As usual, Loui slipped on a pair of grey nike sweatpants and a tight blue v-neck which showed off his pectorals. He then slipped the sleeves of a navy-blue zip up sweater over his shoulders, reached his hand down and zipped it to his neck. It was chilly out today.

His roomies were sleeping, so Lou crept quietly out of his room and slipped like a shadow through the common room, pushing the door a little to hard on his way out. It landed with a "SLAM!" and he bolted. He definitely didn't want to feel the wrath of woken up boys. His grey adidas high-tops slipped silently down the quiet hallway. It was a saturday so most kids were sleeping, studying, or out of the university. His silver eyes scoured the school in front of him for signs of life. It was a baron planet of teenagers. These just happened to shoot lasers from their eyes and turn into cats from time to time. He carried a green math notebook under his right arm, full well knowing he wouldn't need it. It just felt practical to bring something like a normal teenager would to a study session.

No this wouldn't be a normal study group. Lou was planning on reviewing a few math lesions Rhett had attended. Lou really sucked at math, but Rhett seemed to pay attention. So he would go back into his memories and see what he had learned for the past few days. This was how Lou always studied. A willing student would let Loui into their head and review their notes, but with Rhett it was a tad bit different. Because of his ESP, Loui really needed to focus to find anything. There was so much information in his head. Rhett himself didn't even know what was his or not, but this was just a challenge for Lou since the two first met. Loui would get some power training in, and review a few classes, while Rhett would get one of his homework's done by Louis.

He approached the green of the courtyard and made his way to their meeting spot, sure Rhett wouldn't be late because he already knew where Loui was.

Rhett was a morning person. Ever since having a dog, it became a custom to wake up at five in the morning every day to take him out for a walk. It wasn't really a choice for the blonde since his dog, Trouble, became a nuisance if Rhett didn't take him for his daily walk at that time. Even if Trouble no longer lived with him, Rhett somehow couldn't quite remove the habit, and without the need for alarms, he was already up by five. In the end, it was good, he had a lot of time to make himself a good breakfast, have a comfortable shower and take the bus to school without the need of being worried because he was running late.

By the time Loui got to their meeting spot, Rhett had been in the school all morning. He had his morning parkour practice, which he showered and changed clothes afterwards, visited Ulrich's room, which he showered afterwards, and now he was calmly waiting for Lou to arrive for their session, slash power training session, with him.

"You're late, Aiden," Rhett said to Lou while still reading his book, even though Loui really wasn't. "But it's fine, you're forgiven this time." The blonde finished the paragraph, placed the bookmark in the page and closed it. "I'm in a good mood and all that."

A smile appeared on Loui's face as Rhett's sarcasm poured from his mouth. It was something that made him laugh, Rhett's dry sense of humor which left a sting like a knife. Loui was one of the few people who put up with, or even enjoyed, Rhett's remarks and it had been this way for years. "Aiden? I though I deleted my middle name from your a while back Rhett." As usual Loui was Aiden to Rhett. He'd allways called him by his middle name, and Loui had always slipped into his head; deleting the memory in which Rhett ever knew his middle name. It always seemed to come back.

He embraced his friend with a hug. Sure Rhett would squirm away but that was just part of the friendship between these two. Then it was down to business.

"So your last few math classes for a english paper?" he said sitting down on the grass with his legs crossed. He stretched with a yawn, his arms over his head pulling up his shirt and revealing a six pack.

"I told you to stop doing that," Rhett rolled his eyes. "ESP beats memory manipulation." He shook his head, when was Loui going to learn that? "Happy new year, by the way."

As many times as Loui had erased that fact from Rhett's head, Rhett's extrasensory perception had put it back there. It was rather unavoidable, specially since Rhett's ESP acted mostly on its own, even if the blonde had certain perks when focusing his power towards the brunette. It seemed, however, that just as Rhett always "forgot" the other boy's middle name, he always "forgot" the fact that Rhett was not a hugs kind of person. He couldn't stop himself from rolling his eyes away again and patting the other boy awkwardly in the back in an attempt to finish the thing quicker.

"You mean you haven't written the paper I asked you for before the winter break?" Rhett sighed while wondering if forgetfulness was or not a side-effect of Loui's power. "Sure, then. It's due next week, though," he shrugged. "Just don't forget I take Mr. White's class, last time you wrote down some other teacher in the first page." Having said that, the blonde offered his hand with his palm raised to the boy, an invitation to trade memories. "Focus on the classes only." Rhett didn't want Loui to see the "extracurricular activities" he and Ulrich had been doing as of lately. "Please."
