Note: This is more or less taking after Levi’s version of Sam. Sparkly vampire world! ... No, no one said Twilight.
Sam whooped loudly as he dropped down from roof he had just been on top of. There was something thrilling about the fact that he could drop sixty feet and land just like a cat. This being a vampire thing was awesome. He didn’t care that he didn’t remember how it had happened, all he cared about was that it was awesome.
He was actually fairly sure it had happened the same night of Vincent’s 21st birthday party. He knew he had gotten very, very drunk, and that it was where his human memories ended. Not that it mattered anymore. That had been a good few years ago, and he was still treating life as the undead as one big party.
At the moment, he was well fed. One thing he had learned quickly was that, while he didn’t like the actual feeding process idea, instincts had a tendency to take over. He had also learned that he liked taking prey outside of nightclubs and bars. Whether it was his imagination or not, he was fairly certain he got a little buzz off of their blood. Real alcohol sadly did nothing for him these days, so he would take what he could from the blood of intoxicated humans.
He had fed the previous night, his eyes burning bright red, and he was in the mood to be social. He hadn’t found many vampires as he’d wandered (thrilled he didn’t need school anymore, or a job for that matter), but none had seemed very willing to keep him around for very long. He kept being called things like ‘immature’ and ‘irresponsible’ . Much like he had as a human teenager.
Oh well. He was sure he’d find someone to visit with soon enough. Especially in a city. He even looked relatively human, still. He had on jeans and a hoodie, trying to keep his skin as covered as much as possible. If the red eyes weren’t a dead giveaway, the light reflecting off of his skin usually did the trick. People seemed more willing to approach him if he wasn’t looking like a disco ball.
And hey, if all else failed and he got bored, he would just go stake out a bar.
