After having to extract herself from the computer tower carried precariously by the recruiter that had brought her here into the dorm room, Navi was exhausted. It was barely past three, and she'd effectively "slept" the entire ride from New York, but every muscle in her body felt weighted down and she was just so tired. Barely had the computer parts been set on the provided desk when the recruiter had to leave, and Navi thanked the Japanese man sleepily before going to set up the devices and get herself unpacked.
She'd be here for a long time, after all, and all her night clothes were under the regular ones. Plus, her other boxes were left here, ready to be opened. And the bed needed to be made. And she needed to find her Bible. And... and...
Navi let out a loud yawn, rubbing at her eyes as she plugged in the tower, monitor, and speakers into a power strip the computer teacher had provided for her after helping her out. He was a really nice guy, if a little eccentric. What was his name? C.... it started with a "C", she thought. But the preteen couldn't really remember right now; she'd figure it out in the morning. She had to thank him again, after all - he'd been really nice.
Turning on the computer parts, the African-American girl stared at the flashing lights blearily for a long moment until the start-up screen appeared, then left the electronics to start digging around for her comforter and pillows. While the bed was supplied with cursory things, the sheets wouldn't be enough. Besides, the blue-yellow tartan patterned blanket smelled like home; maybe it'd help her sleep.
So tired was she that the young girl didn't even realize that she'd left the door open, nor that she had roommates. Nor that one (or more) had just returned to the dorm.
