Surprise! (Odi)

She could only smile as Odion slipped his shirt on. It had stopped distracting Lani at that point when he did. Avi was always happy to gaze at Odion's candy of a chest and wasn't afraid to admit it, but she didn't want to make Lani any more uncomfortable, or more than she already had. She may have been pulling a prank, but she wasn't cruel. "It was funny, if you don't admit even that I'm sorry, but I can not approve of this destined relationship the two of you are in." She hoped Lani had more of a humor than that and would be sorely disappointed if he did not. Giving Odion a look he knew well she smiled slightly. "Besides, your girlfriend isn't my type." She eyed Lani up and down taking in the boy with a small smirk. "You on the other hand?" She would leave it at that, Odion would get her meaning, also knowing she was only teasing the boys.

Avi smiled as the boy gently kissed her fingers and gave a small giggley-nod to Odion. "Well he is as charming as you say." She grinned at looked at Lani again. "Yes absolutely infatuated, intoxicated, amazed, addicted and reliant on you." Her eyes flicked back between the two, glimmering with small mixtures of hope and envy. "He wants and needs you, and now that I've met you darling, well I suppose I can relinquish him to you. He is my best friend, nothing more and not a damn thing less." Her eyes flickered with the humor of the situation. "Yes, there is no sharing of the boy, he is utterly and entirely yours." Fondly she gazed upon her red headed best friend with a soft smile and nodded to him, she approved of this boy, he made Odion happy, that was all that mattered.

Avi resisted the urge to go awwwww in the midst of the two boys and hid her smile behind her hands as she watched the two be more lovey dovey. The looks suited the two of them, especially Odion. "Pish Posh. He is amazing and awesome, and my best friend and if you or anyone else for that matter says differently, well they are in for some very sour sweets." She loved using those sorts of analogies. Avi held a grudge, and would for a long time if someone insulted her friends.

"How we met?" Avi gave a soft grin remembering that day in the library. "Well if I told you then I would have to kill you." She giggled and nodded at Odion. "It involved cards." That was all she was going to say on the matter, at least until Odion decided it was all right to say more. She wanted him to explain her, she was genuinely interested in the story from his point of view. Was she as annoying as she thought she was to the boy? She was good at being and annoyance. Eventually she wore him down,and here they were now.

Avi gave a hearty chuckle as she pointed to the box of cookies she had brought with her, sitting on the bed. "Pfft. My cookies are the best, you better be staying for them boy." She nodded at the two as they stood there on the opposite side of her and looked down as she felt a small headbutt. Well that was the kitten. With a small smile she picked it up and moved over to the bed sitting and opening the Tupperware the cookies were held in and showed it to Odion and Lani before taking a one herself. "Want one? They are Chocolate chip." An old family recipe being utilized once again.

[Lani Hunter]

Lani gave Odion a little smirk and shrugged as if he had no idea how the pillow had gotten there. Odion had no right to be upset anyways. He completely deserved that one, Lani narrowed is eyes at Odion a little, if Odion didn’t know that he would be happy to point it out. Now Lani raised a brow at Odion and gave him an accusing look. “I thought I was looking for my phone…” Reflexively Lani’s power checked is pockets. Wallet was still there, though that wasn’t to say it was his wallet. Odion was an adept pickpocket. Lani was good but Odion was much better. But Lani would be surprised if even Odion had been able to trick his power long enough to get it. Lani wanted to see if Odion would sweat. An idea occurred to Lani then.

“Huh,” Lani huffed as if unimpressed, however, he was very impressed. Lani was a little upset that Odion had to put a shirt on, but it was for the best. It had been a while since he had seen Odion without a shirt With a red face all over again Lani turned his eyes from Avi to Odion and back again. Raising a hand in yielding so that he didn’t have to let go of Odion fully. “Fine. It was a little funny. But you and you,” he said first pointing at Avi then pointing at his boyfriend, “Are going to have to watch your backs.” Contrary, it was very funny and had Lani not been the victim of the prank he’d probably by laughing just as hard as they were. Looking from one to the other Lani found himself smiling. Now here was a perfect example of why Odion should let people get to know him. Avi seemed nice. Especially now that she wasn’t a boyfriend stealer.

Missing any secret meaning between the two friend’s Lani turned to Odion for a moment and let out a small nervous laugh. She was kidding right? Lani closed one eye as Odion kissed his cheek and his smile great back into a larger one. It made good hearing that there would be no sharing and Lani held Odion a little tighter for a moment. Lani gave Odion a sly look and grinned back at Avi, “I don’t disagree,” Lani said, “But you did forget completely adorable,” Lani said ruffling Odion hair and making a quick escape toward Avi remembering what happened the last time he’d called Odion ‘cute’. Lani could certainly think of better descriptors but Odion had opened the door with his involvement in the prank.

Glancing back at Odion Lani smiled knowingly. Odion’s card tricks still boggled his mind. It was mostly the stubbornness and perhaps Lani’s childish side that kept him from looking up how Odion accomplished them. A grin on his face Lani happily went to select a cookie. “Absolutely,” he took a bite and it was like heaven in his mouth. They were phenomenal! “This are great, Avi,” Lani praised making himself comfortable next to Avi on the bed. His eyes turned back to Odion now and he grinned at his redhead. “So were you showing her a card trick or something?” One day he would figure out how Odion did those tricks. But until then he was going to watch carefully and see what he could learn. He had a feeling that it spoke of Odion’s pick pocketing ability. Sleight of hand was not something that came easily and Odion excelled at it better than anyone Lani had ever seen.

A look of shock crossed Odion’s face momentarily. Destined relationship? Did Avi know something he didn’t already know? Or was it just that obvious that Odion was interest in any other lover? He didn’t comment on it though, instead he simply said. “Girlfriend?” Really, they were gay, not queer. His hold on Lani remained solid and a smirk played across his lips. “I’m not worried about you, blossom,” he said, his eyes on Lani. Really, the worst Lani could do was play a good prank and Odion wasn’t going to stress over it.

Odion only nodded in agreement to all of Avi’s words. Sometimes he marvelled at how she had managed to get to know him so well without him having to say much of anything. It was a mystery to him, women just operated differently he supposed. He sent Avi a smile that said ‘thank you’, for what he couldn’t decide on, only that he knew he loved her, and always would. But then Lani messed up his hair before darting to Avi in a retreat, making Odion annoyed but filled with happiness at the same time.

Rolling his eyes, Odion neared the both of them. “It involved more than cards,” he said, taking a cookie and making himself comfortable on the floor in front of Lani. She was making this out to be a pleasant encounter. “She wouldn’t leave me alone Lani,” he explained further, pouting at the blond boy as if complaining now would make a lick of difference. He laughed lightly and shook his head. “No, I’m forever grateful that Avi doesn’t mind having a thief for a friend.” That was an entirely different story.

Avi couldn't help but smile at the blond's admission that yes, in fact it was funny. It was hilarious. They all knew that, Lani was just too sore at the moment to see it. "So you are safe, no sharing." She jokingly looked at the blond with a soft smile. "To make it up to you I can tell you his ticklish spots?" She smirked at Odion seeing how well that would go over. "Or I can tell you about that one time... was it dancing Red?" Avi smirked looking at Odion with a soft smile before she laughed softly. You do know if you carry out that prank the war is on right?" She smirked looking at the two boys. "In all seriousness though, I'm not worried." She was the queen of pranks, had been since she was eleven. Odion knew that and Lani would soon find out.

All Avi did was smile as the two boys continued to flirt and show affection. "Yes Lani, completely adorable was implied in that description," Avi giggled as she looked between the two of them. "Though you are pretty adorable yourself, I see why He likes you." She pointed at Odion in mid air, before petting the cat in her grasp. "Yup, def see it. Y'all are adorables!" Avi giggled a bit before she just nodded at Odion. She got it, he was happy and that was all that mattered to her about this whole thing. As long as he was happy that was all that she cared about. She could care less about most people, but Odion was one of those special people in her life, and wanted him to be happy. That was why she interfered in his life in the first place. He just didn't seem happy. She hoped she at least helped in the remedy of that problem. At least a little.

Avi smirked as her cookies were complimented, they weren't just really good, they were the best. She was good at what she did. No one better say she wasn't or else she would not only prove them wrong but she would obsess over it. She was one of those people that obsessed over things if she was told she wasn't good enough. She worked her ass off for an opinion that didn't really matter for the fear that it would be brought up again. "Thanks" It wasn't like she was going to say any of this out loud. She instead was just going to say thank you and nod. That was what she was going to do.

Avi could only grin as she witnessed Odion doing something he rarely did, he pouted about her. "Hey! You didn't tell me not to." She smirked and nudged him with her foot. "Besides, admit it, you needed me." She laughed and fed the tiniest bit of cookie to Shadow who was sitting on her lap with her on the bed. She smiled before nudging Lani. "He is just sore I caught him slip up." She laughed before letting Shadow play with her long hair, batting at it and biting it softly. At Odion's confession she laughed and shook her head. "You learned that lesson, all you have to do is ask remember?" Lani probably had no idea what they were talking about, but she was semi sure that Odion would fill him in sooner or later.

Lani had to admit he liked being captured in Odion’s hold. There was that smirk Lani loved and the telekinetic gave a smile and elbowed Odion gently in the ribs. Blossom, that was not gonna fly with Lani. He returned the smirk with an impish smile of his own, “Just wait.” Was all he said the inflection of a million ideas hanging on his tongue. Sometimes he wondered if because of his planning Odion didn’t give him enough credit for being clever. But sometimes the thick headedness Lani had was real but other times it was an act and Lani was already planning deep within his skull and his mind was working on how to get his plans past Odion’s power. It would have to be careful and it would have to be clever.

Avi caught his interest suddenly and Lani raised a brow glancing from Odion to Avi with a grin on his face. No, Lani was much more interested in Odion’s ticklish spots, he had a great deal of revenge to extract in that regard. Lani gave Avi a smile. “Bring it on,” he said tauntingly. He paused to gape at her and then at Odion. Neither of them were worried. Oh he’d show them. They had poked the bear now. “But… about those ticklish spots,” he said rolling his eyes back to his boyfriend with a sly smile. Lani blushed, he really should stop letting people get away with calling him adorable it was going to ruin his reputation. At least he wasn’t alone this time, he definitely was glad that he had escaped and as he gave a grin to boyfriend he was free now to dodge should Odion decide revenge was necessary, but luckily Odion decided to settle himself on the floor.

Lani finished one cookie and against his better judgment retrieved another and started nibbling on it. It was delicious, he was probably going to have to steal some. Lani looked around and cocked his head, interested in the story the more details that were revealed. But nothing was enough to satisfy Lani’s curiosity about their meeting. But it appeared that neither was going to give it up without a little bit of pushing. Lani laughed a little and kicked his shoes off so that he could tuck his feet up on Odion’s bed. He knew far better than to put his shoes on Odion’s bed, the clean time traveler would probably get very annoyed with him. It also implied that he was intending to stay for a while. Odion would complain that she didn’t leave him alone.

He grinned and cocked his head wishing he knew more about their story. But they continued on leaving Lani in the dust. “I’m pretty sure there’s irony in there somewhere,” Lani muttered to himself. Avi had caught Odion stealing and hadn’t left him alone, and in a similar sort of sense Odion had caught Lani stealing and hadn’t left him alone. Or rather, not left him alone but kept showing up everywhere. He wasn’t sure if that was on purpose or not. Lani smiled, it was nice to meet someone that Odion had opened up to. Someone else who knew Odion as the good person he was. Lani glanced between them, he was a little jealous of the history they shared but he was curious and so he kept asking questions.

“I’m curious, how did you get him to talk to you?” Lani asked giving Odion a grin before turning to Avi with a light in his eyes of learning about Odion before Lani had met him. Odion had been completely insufferable when Lani had first met him.
