Pretending like nothing was falling apart, Cam decided to go to the school’s gym. Usually he didn’t like going, he was so self conscious of how stringy he looked. His muscles never seemed to changed, no matter how hard he tried. Maybe if he could get a little more definition, it would be better than his Bingo arms.

It was better than thinking.

Working out gave him a different kind of adrenaline rush, and though he couldn’t bench press a lot it was his personal best. Decked out in shorts and a normal t-shirt, Cam didn’t want to show off his body lest anyone get turned on.

Adding on another five pounds for each side, Cam went back under the weight and pressed. So far so good. But on the way down, his elbows buckled and the blond became winded as the weight pressed into his chest. “Help!” He wheezed out, struggling against the damn weights.

It felt like it had been ages since Oliver had gone out, and he wished he was doing anything else but he chose to go to the gym. Usually on Saturday nights he'd attempt to do something most likely a little illegal, but he decided he'd lay low. It had been that kind of day anyway, he didn't really feel like doing anything that required a lot of focus or thinking. Besides, Oliver liked going to the gym - mostly. It relaxed him and he always ended up feeling great afterwards. He was self-conscious and when he first started going he was a little nervous, but after a while he stopped caring about what the people at the gym thought about him. He always got more compliments than anything else anyway, but he usually just brushed those off.

After getting into some gym shorts and a light sleeveless hoodie he headed towards the gym. It was always kind of exciting, opening the doors to the gym right before a good workout, but this time when he opened the doors he was greeted by someone calling out for help. He looked to where the sound came from and instinctively rushed over to the unknown person. He put his hands around the barbell and lifted it off the other boy's chest.

A smirk crept on his face when he saw who it was. "Cam," he said before pausing and letting the memories of them stir in his mind. A few of them made him smirk even more. He would've let his mind go on, but he came back to reality and remembered the boy was just being crushed by the weight he was trying to lift. "Are you alright?"

Cameron was all for excitement, but most of the things he liked doing were plenty legal, just totally insane. Like bungee jumping or sky diving. The government couldn’t stop people from doing that, even though it might be the equivalent of killing yourself as a result, but you didn’t get charged for attempting the daredevil stunt.

Cam always cared about what other people thought, always. He liked being the popular kid and he liked being popular, and being liked. But lately all he’d been doing was going out, and the hangovers were starting to get annoying.

Letting out a breath of relief, Cam immediately sat up. “Whew,” he said, the look of panic that had been on his face now replaced with a smile. “I’m good, now that you’re here Ollie.” The statement was followed by a wink before he reached for his towel. He sighed again. “This machine, it’s gonna kill me one day,” he laughed, his light only a little dead from the inside out.

“Got nothing better to do on a Saturday night?” Cam teased, glad he was only a little sweaty now.

Oliver smiled at Cameron's response and even shocked himself very slightly at the wink. He put his hands on his hips as he stood in front of the other boy and leaned his weight on one foot. "Not as long as you don't overdo yourself," he said with a teasing grin. He crossed his arms at Cam's next words and shrugged, "Just thought I'd hang out around here tonight. What about you?"

He couldn't help but notice how attractive Cameron was. Honestly, Oliver couldn't really remember the last time they had really spoken. They saw each other around the school and at one point had somewhat of a fling with each other. He remembered really enjoying Cam's company and couldn't remember why they slowly drifted apart, but he didn't think about it too much.

His eyes glanced around the room quickly, remembering he was there to workout. That didn't matter to him, though. He felt a lot less inclined to actually go be active than to just talk to Cam. So he looked back at Cam and smiled lightly. "We haven't really talked in a while, how've you been, dude?"

Cam smirked, "It was just an extra ten pounds. Honestly, I thought I had that under control." But as luck and life would have it, nothing was truly in his control as of late. Not that he should be surprised at all. "I don't do this a whole lot, figured I should," he said by why of explaining his presence in the gym.

With all the shit that had been going on like Cam possibly being a father, breaking up with his boyfriend, and losing his best friend, most of his friends had slipped through the cracks. He honestly hadn't mean to do it, and he felt terrible for making people feel ignored, but things could always be righted.

"I can't remember talking a whole lot when I'm with you," he said coyly, and then sighed. "Oh you know, going through lots of teenage drama, I'm sure you've heard the rumors," he said, waving his hand as though swatting away the subject. "What about you man? Still a lady killer?" Cam was always curious to see who his lays were laying.

A devilish smirk came on Oliver's face when Cam said they didn't do a lot of talking. It was pretty much true since they both found an interest in each other only shortly after meeting. "Only because, we had funner things to do," he looked Cam in the eye and winked back with his signature smirk. It faded once Cam mentioned his teenage drama. Rumors at the school pretty much spread as fast as possible, so Oliver knew some of the things Cameron was going through. He thought about asking, but then figured that was the last thing Cam wanted to talk about.

"Yeah... I'm sure everything will work out though," he gave the other boy a simple, reassuring smile. Oliver was never really good at talking to people about serious topics, so he was just weirdly optimistic about many things

Oliver chuckled and shrugged a little "what can I say, man?" It was a pretty well known fact that Oliver was what most people would refer to as a slut. He personally didn't like that stigma, but tried to not let it bother him. "If I remember correctly, you were a bit of a lady-killer too, though."

Cam wouldn’t say they were friends, but they pretty well were. Cam loved having friends, especially sexy ones. “Right?” He grinned as well. “And they were fun. Very fun.” It didn’t take much time for Cam to say his next sentence: “We should do that again some time. You know, when you’re not busy busting your balls working out.”

Well it was a good thing Oliver wasn’t up for a serious chit chat, Cam had had enough of those to last a lifetime. All he wanted out of high school was to get good grades and have fun. He’d been doing neither as of late and it was time to change that. And well, he was single now, so...

Slut, manwhore, didn’t really matter, they were labels and sometimes they were true, but Cam wasn’t one to judge, he was just curious. “You’re totally right, and a gentleman killer too” he said, standing from the bench, since he wasn’t about to continue now that Oliver was here. But now that he thought about it...

“Do you need a spotter?” Cam offered, a sure fire grin on his face.

He was pleased when Cam said they should do it again. He definitely wasn't opposed to that. Honestly, if Cam hadn't had said it, Oliver probably would have at some point. "I don't work out that much," he said before pausing for a short second, "Besides I can always make a little time for you, Cam." He raised his eyebrows and smiled as he swayed to shift his weight on his other foot. "Trust me, I know that," he said about the gentleman killer part.

Now that he thought about it, he had been feeling pretty lonely lately. Maybe that was the actual reason he had stayed in today. Either way, being with Cam was definitely helping him now, so being with him more would probably help him out even more.

"Yeah, actually. You know anyone cool enough?" he asked teasingly with a grin on his face to match Cameron's. He sat down on the bench and nodded before laying down under the weights Cam had been working with. His hands firmly grasped onto the metal in front of him as he looked to Cam expectantly.

Grinning, the younger blond was pleased to hear someone else was willing to make time for him. This encounter would prove interesting. Cam giggled. "Well I hope so, you've died a few times if you know what I mean," he said with a wink, referring to the little death in Oliver's pants whenever they were together between the sheets. Or on a desk, or wherever really.

Cam would do anything to make someone else happy, even just make them smile.

"I'm the coolest person in the room," Cam jested right back, swinging the towel so it was draped over his neck. "Well?" He asked the other blond, eyebrows raised. "You can push any day now."

Oliver grinned back and smiled. "Yeah, but you've died just as many times as I have," he said with a playful tone. Their inane banter made him remember old memories they had together. Oliver had kind of liked the other boy for a while, and as per usual pursued it. They seemed to like each other, so it kind of worked. It was good while it lasted - they were both hot and into the other one so it made for a pretty awesome fling.

He pushed on the bars and lifted the barbell off it's place. "Alright I'm gonna go to 50," he said before starting to count mentally. He focused on his breathing as he kept going, looking up at Cam with a smile every now and then. "You're next, by the way."

"It wasn't about competition, it was about being equal... or something like that." He laughed a little and then nudged Oliver. "Pleasure for both, that's what I always say." Cameron wasn't lying about that at least. He loved the adrenaline rush he got some being with someone, but he wanted to make sure it was enjoyable for all parties. Cam just didn't think Oliver wanted anything serious, and cam certainly didn't want anything serious now.

Cam just laughed as he hovered above Oliver, smiling down at the boy. "You're funny! That thing just kicked my ass and you want me to go again?" Moving over to Ollie's side, Cam traced his fingertips up the other boy's side, aware that the barbell might drop because of his actions. Oh well! "I deserve a treat after all that work."
