By now, Oriel had pretty much figured out when the auditorium was empty and free for him to do his naps...or whatever else he decided to do.
Yep. Totally empty. No drama nerds. No dance teams geeks. He managed to dodge Hay-lin for the day and hopefully she wouldn't come back this way again.
Yep. Totally empty. Free and empty enough for him to do what he wanted.
With a snarky grin, he bolted across the floor and jumped up onto the stage, sliding as far as he could against the wooden floor, then rolling up hard onto his feet. Heh, wasn't too hard. The unusually energetic boy bounced about the stage, pretending like he knew what he was doing, but mostly just mimicking stuff he'd seen in movies and on the streets of New York. He remembered this one kid who danced on the subway, a whole 30 second show while passengers moved from one station to the next, and tried to recreate it.
While he didn't have any sort of proper training other than what he'd taken from the dance teacher so far, there were at least a few things he knew he could do. Stuff he hadn't actually done in years, actually.
Handstand!
Drop! Spin!
Invert freeze!
Back-flip, back-flip, somersault!
Of course, he hadn't done these in years, so that last one landed him flat on his butt and the whole ordeal left parts of him a little over-stretched.
Ouch, why'd I have to choose now to start trying this shit again...damn that blind bitch.
Oriel sat there for a minute to catch his breath(damn, he was really out of shape but his stubbornness wouldn't let him quit so easily), then hopped back up to his feet to try again. He didn't even hear the door to the auditorium open whist he was hopping around like a mad-monkey.
