Easy A *Devon*

Saki couldn't believe the stupid art teacher was making her come in on a Saturday afternoon (it was sunny outside damnit!) and work on the painting that supposed to turned in last week. She had put paint on the canvas. She had seen famous paintings with less creativity, so why he was throwing such a fit?

She grumbled as she set down her gray bag. He wasn't even here! She pulled out her bedazzled phone, put in her earphones and turned it all the way up. He was one who said not to be late and look at that, he was late. Ugh! Such...ungentlemen like. Was that a word? Like she cared. Her foot rocked in time with the beat coming out of the loud earphones.

The painting was hung up in front of her. It had a little bit of red, which resembled blood, and some black there. It was artistic, but she thought this class would be an easy A. Paint a couple of people (badly), flowers (is that what it really is?) and some personal pieces and go home with an A.

The lunchtime phone call had been... surprising, to say the least. Devon had been strolling through the town photographing the pretty trees when his phone had rang with a message from the school he was due to start teaching at on Monday. A situation had come up with one of the students in what would be his class; they had been scheduled for a meeting with the previous teacher who had just left and the meeting hadn't been cancelled, and the school wanted to know if he could cover it since it had been marked down as priority. O... kaaaaay, that was an unusual start to his new job, but it was an opportunity he wasn't going to pass up.

The taxi had dropped him off outside the school gates, the other teacher explaining the situation to him over the phone on the ride there, and Devon had been thankful at least that he had taken a little time the day before to find his way around the school. He still managed to get a bit turned around in one of the corridors while trying to find the art classroom, and he was a little out of breath when he finally arrived in the room.

His first ever official meeting with a student in his brand new job... and he was wearing scruffy jeans and a Metallica shirt. Terrific. Devon made sure he was able to speak whilst breathing normally and then indicated for her to remove her earphones, mouthing the word 'hello'.

Saki glared at the man. He was tall and so very handsome. Handsome for someone who was ancient. Perhaps she could get out of this easily. She waited a couple of seconds before turning off her music and taking out the headphones. "You know, I've seen less paint on some of the most famous paintings!" This guy was different than the other teacher. Why did they send him in? Was he some kind of expert on pheromone controllers?

Her powers weren't a secret. She didn't even try to keep it a secret, why? Because she loved to mess with the males in the school, especially during class, but never once did she think about flirting her way out of a F or anything else. Would it work? She sure hoped so because she didn't want to get paint on her favorite shirt. It had taken forever to find the exact blue she was wearing.

Saki closed her eyes briefly, and released the sex pheromone out into the air. She always imagined it to be green. Green was a sexy color in her opinion. She didn't know what it smelled like to the teacher. It didn't smell like anything to her and she certainly couldn't see it, she just kind of...felt sexy at that point and made sure that he felt it too. "My name is Sakiya Min," she said quietly.

The girl's glare was exactly what Devon had expected. If he had been forced to go in for a meeting on the weekend and then some random bloke who wasn't even the right teacher turned up, he'd have been pissed as hell too. He could not blame her for being frustrated, at all, but then again if she had done her work then she wouldn't have had to have come in anyway. He didn't know her, other than the basics that he had been told over the phone, and she didn't know him at all. And now he was expected to give her a lecture. Oh what fun this would be...

Devon put the small bag containing his beloved camera onto the desk, quickly glancing around at some of the pieces on display around the room. There was some real talent in here, he could see it already. Hopefully with this girl it would just be a case of helping her discover her muse and passion, of getting her actually interested in the subject and everything that was possible with it. People like that were usually fairly pleasant to work with, once that 'omg art sux' wall had been broken down.

Sitting on the edge of the desk, Devon let his legs swing as he waited for the girl to take her earphones out and get settled. Devon felt his shoulders and back relaxing and the room seemed to get a little warmer, or so he thought. His mind was wandering slightly, going back to clubs filled with dancing bodies pressed so close together. The heat and the closeness and the smell of lingering perfu-- The girl's words pulled his mind back, and Devon lightly bothered his lower lip with his teeth. “Yes... Yes. I'm covering the meeting. I'm the new art teacher, I'll be starting on Monday.”

Devon's eye caught a mirror on the other side of the room and saw his reflection in it, particularly the black spider on his shirt. Black spider. Black widow. Mmmmm, Scarlett Johansson in the black catsuit with the thigh holst – Where the hell had that thought come from?!?
Colour softly clouded Devon's cheeks, the art teacher fidgeting with the stud in his left earlobe like he so often did when he was anxious.

Saki leaned back in the chair she was sitting in. Why wasn't it working? He was supposed to pounce all her over, confess his true love, something! And yet, he sat there, just chewing away at his damned lip and playing with an earring in his ear. She had long ago learned that it was because he was anxious about something. So her power did work on him. Perfect. Subtly, she adjusted herself and looked back at him through the lids of her eyes. God, this was wayy to easy.

"You know, I am a little artistic," she lied. "This is my art. I try to use as less paint as possible. Why is that not artistic? I've seen...worse paintings like M.C. Escher." Who was that? It was just a name she had heard in passing. She knew nothing of art, but knew that anything could considered to be art. Even trash, well... "I mean, his art isn't too bad, but come on! Who could actually like that stuff?"

The thoughts had begun slowly piling up in his mind, clambering one over the other for his attention and the more he tried to brush them away, the stronger they seemed to get. Scarlett Johansson in the black catsuit. Famke Janssen with the red hair and the red dress in X-Men. Daenerys Targaryen when she's walking to the bath and the robe slips dow--

Devon cleared his throat loudly, trying to focus, but it was getting tougher as his blood seemed to be evacuating his brain and heading south. Standing quickly, he walked around and sat behind the desk, sliding the chair under and trying to keep focussed on something other than what his body suddenly seemed desperate for. Somewhere in the back of his mind it registered that she had insulted his beloved Escher, but it was getting harder to concentrate. “Actually... many do... Like me. Less can be more, but only if it's... meaningful. Three lines aren't a story unless the artist... has a story to tell with them.”

"Story? My story is short. Only a few splatters of paint," Saki crooned. She slowly got up, carefully moving her hips and legs in what she thought was sexy. Soon she was standing over his desk, her hands bringing her closer to his face. "I'll tell you my story if you let me go." It was that same crooning voice. The voice was turned men into mesh in her hands. God, this was so easy! He was almost hers and when she let him go, she would have her A on that dumb painting and he was going to be so confused. Attracted to a student! She almost burst with giddiness.

It would only take one touch. All she had to do was touch his arm or his hand. Something to make him hers. She reached her hand out to touch his arm. "I think I deserve an A, don't you Mr...?" It would've been better if he had told her his name! Damnit! That could foul the entire plan. Damnit! She swore under her breath and brought back her hand. "What's your name handsome?" Ick, even if it was true, he was like twenty years older than she was. To call someone handsome who was...twenty years older than she was...was...was...oh my god.

Saki put her hand over her mouth to stop from gagging. If she did, then it would definitely foul the plan and she would have to spend her Saturday afternoon ruining a perfectly good outfit and scowling at him.

Devon's mind was a cloud of confusion and raging hormones, the girl's words and voice muddling with the images his mind was creating and sending surges of testosterone coursing through his body. He knew there was no reason for it, knew it was massively inappropriate and knew he had to somehow get himself under control, but no matter how hard he tried to fight it, the sudden violent lust was there. What at in particular, he didn't know. He just knew he had to calm it.
Peaceful lake. Cookery programmes on TV. Sofas. Gargoyles. Tables. The Queen. The pope. Zombies. Mmmm, Katheryn Winnick in Hellraiser... Shit!

Devon couldn't really hear her words, his mind filtering things that his body seemed to be deeming not currently relevant. He was so utterly, utterly confused. The hovering hand was a torment, his mind screaming at him that it was wrong but his body longing for the touch, for that intimacy of skin against skin, and it was taking every shred of willpower he possessed to not reach out and grab it, to claim that physical closeness that his body was screaming for. Grey eyes met Saki's and for a moment, just for a moment...

“NO!”

The moment was gone as suddenly as it arrived, the stool clattering to the ground as Devon physically shoved himself away from the desk, away from the tempting torment, and he grabbed his bag before all-but bolting for the door.

Saki turned to watch him leave. Well, that was certainly an interesting turn of events. She wondered if she would get in trouble for trying to seduce a teacher to get out of redoing a assignment. What was she thinking? Of course she would! At least she was eighteen and they couldn't get him in trouble.... Not that she cared to say the least.

The Asian girl took her time exiting the classroom. She made sure that her painting was back where it belonged and the door was locked. There, now he couldn't tell that anyone had been there, but unfortunately, she couldn't erase memories. She literally skipped down the hall, too happy to get out of that stuffy classroom and actually enjoy her Saturday afternoon sun.

It beamed down at her. Guiltily, only vaguely, she wondered where the poor man had gone. Teachers didn't live on campus so it wasn't like she could check there. Where did someone go? Think like an art teacher....think like an art teacher. The art museum! Oh... How dreadfully boring. Ignoring her pleading thoughts to enjoy the sunshine, she walked to the bus station with a purpose.

Once he was out of ear-shot of the classroom, Devon's paces slowed to a purposeful walk as he made his way down the corridors to nowhere in particular. He was letting his feet guide him, his mind too busy trying to battle what was happening to it and rationalise what had just happened. Or not happened, as the case may be.

After a few minutes of wandering he caught sight of an empty classroom and slipped inside, sitting at one of the desks and letting his forehead rest against the cool wood. Breathing slowly, trying to get his body back under control, the possible implications of what had just happened hadn't yet occurred to him.

All he knew was that, once the raging hormones had calmed, he was going to go and check out Saki's file and see if there were any clues in there that could explain the events of the past fifteen minutes.

And there was no way in hell she was getting an A.
