There was an annoying crowd of people in the first floor commons tonight. That was unusual, but who cared. Not Oriel. Nope. (Lies!)
Anyway, he wasn't intending on staying, Oriel had just come down from the seclusion of his dorm room to get something to eat. Yeah, he knew there was food in the kitchenette, stuff for sandwiches and whatnot, but Oriel far too often got cravings for the sweet and unhealthy. So, down it was to the vending machines, where they had candy bars, mini-bags of chips, and, better than anything else, packages danishes and muffins!
The package fell to the bottom of the machine with a twank, and Oriel slipped his hand into the receptacle to retrieve his snack of sugary goodness. He snuggled it close to his cheek, ignoring whether anybody thought that was strange. Should he get one for Madison too? .......Nah. Bitch locked his door again, must be on his period or something.
Another yell came from the crowd behind him and he turned his chin over his shoulder to get a better look. What the hell was going on? And why did he even care?
Oriel peeled open his raspberry danish treat as he stepped forward to the crowd, trying not to look like he was wanting a better look. Some girl was playing some dancing game on the big community TV and someone's Xbox 360. The words "Dance Central" displayed over the screen as the game went back to the title screen and asked for a new challenger.
Oriel rolled his eyes. Yeah, no way was he getting in on this, he thought as he took a step closer.
