One

One character per account. The one and only exception to this is Gestalt Pairs, and that's because they are essentially one entity, just shared between two bodies. Every other account is limited to one character with their name displayed as the character's first and last name, properly capitalized.

Two

Powers manifest at puberty, so students can be as young as eleven, but typically range from 14 to 20. Older students are possible, though, if they have a justifiable reason for not coming to Hammel until later in life, or why they stayed extra years. Younger characters are very rare, and we are not currently accepting characters with powers that manifested before age 11. The one exception is cellular regenerations, who would have always healed faster, from birth. However, the full quick-healing power would not have manifested until 11.

Three

Teachers and Institute Officials work in and for Hammel. Teachers include the usual teachers of history and science, as well as abilities trainers. Officials are the recruiters, security, researchers, and everyone else who works at Hammel.

Four

Everyone likes to introduce their characters a little differently, so we're offering two different applications for you to fill out. You can choose either a classic form application or a free write, which lets you make up however you want to convey your character's history and personality.

Five

After 14 days, any uncompleted applications will be deleted. So fill out the app completely, and have fun.

Six

So long as you remain active with characters, there is no hard character cap. However, you must wait at least seven days between characters being accepted, and have the previous character involved in at least one real thread. (IM or phone threads do not count towards this.) Staff reserves the right to place temporary caps on number of characters played by an individual. Also, no two of the same player's characters can have the same power or very similar powers. This includes different kinds of shapeshifting.

Seven

We currently have a cap on characters for the M.S.A.D. usergroup, as the plot cannot support introducing any more characters at this point in time.

Eight

If you want your character to have killed someone, PM an admin before you apply. No exceptions.
