Sing Me to Sleep(Renee)

Avi was in the training rooms, all by herself after her session with Chase. She was here just for fun, to train a bit more. She was more bored then anything and instead of using the room to train she was doing something a bit more fun. Being isolated she was sure no one was going to pop in or disturb her. Avi was about to do something she rarely had the chance to do, she was going to sing.

Avi wasn't a bad singer, in fact it was quite the opposite, she just didn't sing in front of people, and on the rare chance she did it was normally Christmas carols and songs that blended into the crowd. Her family was about the only one who heard her, other then the occasionally humming she did around her room.

It was only after she had triple checked that the door was closed, and no one was in the halls, she slowly began the melody. Thank god it was summer and there was barely anyone here. She decided to sing without the music, all by herself nothing to support her, only her vocal chords. Her voice slowly filled the room as she slowly sang the words Asleep by Emily Browning.

"Sing me to sleep, Sing me to sleep, I'm tired and I, Want to go to bed, Sing me to sleep, Sing me to sleep"

Avi was getting lost in the sound of her voice as she sand the song to the imaginary one who filled her mind as she danced around playing with the lyrics and melody in her head. She had no idea someone had entered the room as she continued the song.

"And then leave me alone, Don't try to wake me in the morning, 'Cause I will be gone, Don't feel bad for me, I want you to know, Deep in the cell of my heart, I will feel so glad to go..."

Despite it being summer break, Renee was finding herself coming to the school every day lately. If it wasn't for one of her newbie trainees then it was for her choir girls who didn't know how to just relax and enjoy the free time they had while classes were out of session! Day in and day out, day in and day out, there was hardly a chance for her to take a break. Her only respite was the staff party that Devon had organized, which was a double edged sword, as she had woken up with a hangover that morning. But the rule the trainer lived by was, no matter how late you stay up the night before, and no matter how much you had to drink, you always come in to work the next morning on-time and looking like a million bucks.

Luckily it was the weekend and she didn't have to come in first thing in the morning.

Renee, feeling slightly sluggish and a little nauseous, was in the training rooms, preparing to meet with one of her students when she heard it. There was someone else here...and they were singing. With a small smile, Renee reminisced on how she'd first properly met Devon, though he was bashing away on a drum set at the time, which made her thankful that that wasn't the case this time.

She stood just outside the door of the room the little Browning wannabe had occupied for a few seconds before she dared to enter. Renee didn't say anything, she just watched and waited for the girl to finish and, perhaps, notice her audience.

The melody replaying in her head Avi hummed along with the rest of the song. She wasn't going to continue all that much, but she was going to enjoy herself one way or the other. It really was such a good song, and the cover was absolutely amazing. She felt that sometimes songs got lost in translation, and it was better to focus on the lyrics then worry about the rest of the world. Sometimes it was best to get just a little lost. That was how she was going to live her life if she wanted. She could do whatever she wanted in this room. There was no one to bother her or come barging in. It was summer AND a weekend after all. The chance of getting caught was slim to none, at least in Avi's eyes.

To sing alone was a miracle for the blond areo. It gave her time to collect her thoughts and her life in a song that she could just sing out at the end of a stressful day.

The song slowly ended in her head and she sat there, looking up at the ceiling just thinking. It was her life and she could do as she pleased, but that was the thing, she had no idea what she wanted to do. It was harder to decide then anything now, especially since she had gotten back from Japan. She had realized the world was bigger then Pilot Ridge, bigger then Hammel and that scared her. More than she would like to admit...

It was just as she finished singing that she noticed the woman standing in the door way. Congratulations Ms. Hendricks you have managed to embarrass Avi, that is a hard feat to do. Blushing she sat up looking at the woman. "uh... hi?" She wasn't sure if the lady. Biting her lip and looking at her she shook her head before shyly waving. "Did you hear?" She tilted her head letting her hair fall over her shoulder. "Please tell me you didn't."
