Her scream alarmed Cole and the hair on his neck stood up. He rushed back around the wall to the living room to see her covering her ears before she walked back into him. Her words made him smirk. If she was so deathly terrified of lightning, Cole would hate for her to see his power. If they were going to be together, it was a fear she would be forced to get over.

Cole wrapped his arms around her and nuzzled her neck, "Don't worry. I'll protect you." Cole whispered into her ear as the power flickered off and on. If the power went out, Cole wasn't worried. He could have power when no one else could. And the large, makeshift battery pack that tied into his apartment's fuse box was his latest project he'd been wanting to test.

He kissed her neck as the thunder began to rumble. The thunderclap was strong and loud enough to shake the walls of the apartment, knocking off a few of Cole's pictures and hats, as well as some nick-knacks off a shelf. Hopefully his lips on her neck would make her forget her fears. "Better?" He asked as he turned her around.

Ava stop trembling as soon as Cole held her he made her feel so safe that it was unreal she glanced up at him her fingers moving through his hair a small sigh coming from her as she nodded it wasnt the actual storm that worried her it was that she didnt no when she was going to hear the loud noises thats what scared her

She blushed letting out a faint moan at feeling his lips on her neck '' C..cole '' she mumbled her eyes widened when his pictures and items fell on the floor walking over she started to tidy up blushing even brighter than normal as she realised that she was in Coles shirt and had a lack of underwear on which made her squeak as she bent over she then quickly knelt down instead not sure if she had flashed him or not she then looked at the pictures smiling '' they are very nice '' she smiled as she placed them on the table not wanting them to fall and break again

She glanced up at the lights biting her lip '' You promise ? '' she asked after all he said that he was going to protect her but it was only a thunderstorm it eemed that the storm was starting to slow down only hard rain which banged at the window '' Just dont spring a leak '' she said before giggling.

"I promise." Cole said firmly, "And a Kessler always keeps his promises." He finished with a smirk. He noticed as his arms wrapped around her, his lands landing on hips, the lack of underwear she squeakily tried to hide. When she knelt down to look at his pictures, Cole leaned against a nearby wall.

He pushed off the wall a moment later and grabbed his cigarettes off of the table. Flipping open the box, he pulled one out and lit it in almost one swift motion. Cole would swear he had lighting a cigarette down to an art form, but then again, it wasn't really all that difficult anyway. His back met the wall once again as he took a drag off of the tobacco-filled, filtered, paper tube.

He let out his breath and released the smoke before almost immediately taking another drag off of his cigarette. Finally, he spoke up once again, "So what would you like t--" He was cut off as lightning struck a nearby tree outside, the resulting flash almost blinding him after catching him off guard. "Fuck that's getting a little violent out there." Cole hollered over the rumble of thunder. He found the couch and fell onto it, sprawling out as he did so. In truth, he was waiting for her to jump into his lap to hide.

'' l will '' She whispered biting her lip as she looked at the photos with a smile '' Your pretty cute '' she whispered looking over at him watching him get a cigarette and watching him light it she giggled slightly before stepping back slightly she wasnt a fan of smoking and one of the illnesses that it caused

She let a scream when the lightning hit pretty close to her she was holding on tightly to the photo frame not knowing that she had broken the glass of the frame it had cut all 4 of her fingers she was too frightened of the thunder it made her cry out running over to him on the couch stumbling slightly as she curled up pretty much in a ball on his lap her whole body trembled as she tried so hard not to cry '' Ok now lm scared .... really scared '' she yelled out before going quiet again in the darkness not moving.

lt of been atleast 10 minutes before she sat uo slowly her hair was fluffy and frizzy falling over her face slightly as she looked up at him blushing '' Sorry about that ...'' she mumbled not liking the fact that she was showing her vunerable side to him so soon her gaze dropped down to her hands '' l..lm bleeding ''

Cole chuckled a little as she promptly curled up into his lap at the loud rumble. He found his fingers entangling themselves with her hair as if it was their choice and he had no say. He was most content with laying there as it was: her in his lap and his fingers in her hair. When she pointed out her hand, Cole sat up.

"Let me see." Cole said, cupping her hand gently with his own. "That's not too bad. Bad, but not ER bad." He said, his eyes examining her wound, "Here, let get something." Cole said as he slid out from under her and stood up. He walked into the bathroom and reached into the cabinet. After digging around for a few minutes, Cole pulled out some old bandaging from his recovery days long ago. "This should do."

Cole returned to Ava's side and sat back down with her. "Gimme your hand, Ava." Cole said sweetly. He opened the box of gauze and bandages before setting them aside. He grabbed a washcloth and her hand and cleaned the excess blood from around the cut before taking up the gauze and bandage once again.

His eyes seemed to glaze over as Cole worked on her hand. Placing the gauze where it would hold the bleeding as best it could, he grabbed the bandage. He slowly, gently wrapped her hand to both cover the wound and put pressure on it, "Hopefully, That'll stop the bleeding." He said as he wrapped her hand up the rest of the way, "There. That should do it."

Ava blushed letting out a gasp at his request before nodding slowly ''O..Ok..'' she whispered holding out her sore bleeding hand to him gently biting her lip with a smile watching him take care of her she was touched that he cared so much once he finished tending to her wound she leant forward and lightly kissed his lips '' mm...my hero'' she whispered against his lips slowly

She smiled blushing brightly up at him before curling up in his lap listening to the rain she held on tightly to his arm flinching at the sound of thunder yet she didnt cry out she felt safer in his arms which meant so much to him and the fact she could stare up at his handsome face meant the world she couldnt resist kissing his neck gently '' dont let me go..ok'' she whispered
