Set December of 2013
Close to Christmas and instead of the typical turmoil she was usually in during this time, Jacelynn was actually starting to enjoy her life a little more. No longer faking her peppy, and sassy attitude, she was smiling easier and didn't really snap nearly as much as she had at the beginning of the year. It took her a while, but things were settling down around her and it was enough so that she wasn't nearly as stressed out. Usually Christmas break was her least favorite time of the year because it meant staying at her parents' home and dealing with her mother, but she hadn't been at home enough to really deal with it. Ah the beauty of dating.
Before a little over a month ago, she wouldn't have even thought about casually dating the same person for as long as she had. Sure, she still hung out with other guys like her screw pal, Carter, but things were different. She didn't feel the need to go out with a guarantee lay. Now that she had someone that asked her out more than just when he wanted sex, she felt less like the whore her mother mistook her for and more like a person. Though, Alana still wasn't too pleased that Jacelynn was still getting around. She was nineteen and still hadn't had a serious relationship. Jace couldn't even count Sam.
With her usual date, they'd planned on going out dancing at a club. It struck a little nerve being taken to a club even though she worked at one, but it was only because she'd been rejected on a date like this before and that fear of rejection was still there in the back of her mind. She never showed it though, she made sure of it. Jace had taken her time to look nice. She spent more time on her hair than she had anything else and picking out her heels had been the most frustrating thing, but over all, it was worth it. She was pleased with her appearance.
Once she was picked up from her house, all but rushing out the door so he wouldn't ask to come in, she climbed into his car. Just with a side view of him, she couldn't help but nearly drool. His features were so incredibly amazing, just the angles alone. She'd told Carter one time that she preferred guys with modelesque features and Alessandro just proved that further. "So, are you sure you want to go to a club? I mean I love dancing and all, but if you don't, we can do something else..." Jace couldn't help it, she was still a little worried about things going downhill when she was really starting to like him. (Not that she was ready to admit that, not yet.)
