Little more of a tan than I wanted (Xavier)

Angelina Luna was happy that summer was just about here. She had one more test before she could finally escape for the summer! But the weather was beautiful, her motivation minimal, and her tan in need of some attention.

So she had went to her closet and picked out her favorite bikini. She probably wasn't allowed to wear it on campus except in the pool area, and even there it might get some raised eyebrows. Regardless, she didn't care.

So she put the soft fabric on, and then for the sake of the rest of the students she put some clothes on over them. Grabbing a bag to store them in, she walked from her dorm to the pond to enjoy the weather properly.

The most recent power she had picked up was Telekinesis. A useful enough power, and definitely better than being able to talk to cats... There weren't even any cats to talk to around here. So she hadn't made any efforts when another Meta touched her by accident. Or maybe it was on purpose. He had been staring.

It took a short walk to reach the pond but once the Latina was there she happily stripped her exterior clothes off. Pulling a towel she had packed into her bag from its storage area she laid it down across the grass and then pulled her bottle of tanning lotion out as well. She could see someone walking along the edge of the pond slowly, but he was welcome to enjoy the show. She wasn't shy.

So she slathered the oil onto herself generously and then laid herself onto the towel. She could feel the sun's warmth kissing her skin and she loved it. Summer was truly her favorite time of year. When else could you get away with basically walking around in your underwear all the time? Truly wonderful.

Xavier was happy to be outside in the warm weather, but wasn't to excited on what he was heading to the pond to do. He sucked at controlling his powers and was going to try and practice. In his mind he saw himself failing and lighting things on fire hence the reason he was by water.

Xavier wasn't good at controlling anything much less himself. He decided that sitting own was not the best option so he remained standing. He had never tried starting his fire, it had always come with the situation.

Xavier looked around and spotted a girl enjoying the sun. Xavier couldn't deny she was attractive and he could see any excuse not to practice. He quietly walked over to her and stood by her head blocking the sun she had to tan. " You look like you're having fun."

Angelina's smile lasted exactly until someone stood in her sun. That was not acceptable, and she was going to make sure that they knew it. Sitting up she glared at the boy standing there. He had made some wise ass remark, but she didn't care. She simply gave him a look that would melt ice.

"Get out of my sun if you don't want to be hurt." Her threat was short and real. She was here to enjoy the sun. He could enjoy the view if he wanted, but interrupting this was not acceptable behavior for anyone as far as she was concerned. She moved a little so that his shadow wasn't on her and then laid back down.

The snippy comment wasn't what he had expected and he was to cocky to let it fly. He stepped back into his sunlight and leaned over her face," What are you going to do about it?" He was asking for it and he knew it.

Xavier was too cocky for his own good. He had probably guess that she had a power and that it more or less could hurt him in some way but it didn't matter to him. He had always defended himself and picking fights was always something he was good at.

Angelina cursed in Spanish under her breath as she stood up and glared at this guy. She had warned him, and he had ignored it. Time to punish the punk. "This." She said the one word and waved a hand at him, sending him flying backwards into the pond. She immediately felt her stomach twist and nearly keeled over from the pain.

This was a strong power. But it also had some really nasty side effects apparently. She took a deep breath and stood back up, back in control of herself. Looking into the pond she smirked at the teenager she had just moved. "Now fuck off brat!"

Xavier put a smirk on his face as she stood up. It was too his surprise that he was flown into the air and into the pond who had the coldest water he had ever felt. Xavier had already sort of fought against someone with these powers and had gotten his arm broke, so he wasn't happy to do so again.

The water was cold and he already felt its effects making him sick. He got out of the water and the water started coming off as steam. This wasn't what he had wanted to deal with and he hadn't started it. He had just provoked it, but now he was going to deal with it.

After all of the water steamed off his clothes, he started lighting on fire. First in little spaces but then his all of his arms and chest. He had nothing to say but, just stayed on the bank of the of the pond and burned. It was safe to say he wasn't to happy about being thrown into cold water, but he was not even close to being cold now.

Xavier walked up and stood in the girls sun again, but this time she wasn't losing any heat. In fact, she was about to get burned. Xavier leaned into her face and shouted at her, " Not a smart idea!" The flames were practically touching her face and he wasn't moving. She had pissed off the wrong guy.

Angelina had heard something weird. It sounded like fire. But that couldn't be, she was at the lake and there wasn't anyone trying to make any bonfires right now. But when the sun was blocked out again and she felt a strange heat she opened her eyes. She was surprised by the boy she had messed with standing over her on fire.

Her first thought was to try and help him. But she had seen strange thing in Hammel so she controlled herself long enough to hear him talk. After he said that, she just laughed. It was a pure and gentle sound, not at all appropriate for her attitude. She laughed because she liked this kid's spunk. But she wasn't going to let him try and act like this.

"Chill out man." That was again all she said before waving an arm and sending him back into the lake. Her stomach rebelled against her again as she used the power, and she had to curl up for a second before she had herself under control. Damn, this power was definitely not one that she could just keep using willy-nilly. Maybe she'd borrow the Human Torch's next.

She stood up once she had herself under control, this time ready to deal with him as he came back. She was sure he wasn't going to be happy and so she didn't want to let him get the jump. But this was fun. She hadn't actually fought anyone in a long time. Much less beaten up some older boy while she was in a bikini. Yeah... Life was full of firsts.

Xavier didn't enjoy his second dip into the pond any better than the first. It just pissed him off again. This time he came out and lit on fire instantly. The fire hissed as the water dried out and didn't dampen the fire any.

He had learned his lesson after the second time and wasn't about to try it again. He had to find a way to get close to her and not be thrown cause that was not fun. He decided his best option was to bolt and try and make it before she knew what he was doing.

He stood out of the water and watched her for a moment. Then he bolted running straight toward her. this time his fire had grown. He neared her in a few seconds and reached out to grab her arm. If she wanted to throw him again she would have to throw herself with him. There was no way he going to let go of her once he had his grip. A thought never entered his mind that he would hurt her, he just didn't want to get thrown again.

He was never one for quitting even if he would get hurt.

Angelina was both very pleased and very bored. She liked playing with this guy, even if he didn't have a chance. But she also didn't really want to beating him so easily. It was fun to win, but without a challenge she didn't feel right. She let herself be distracted as she tried to think of what would make this fun.

Having drifted her attention she had almost no time to think as the boy rushed her. That was the last thing she expected. 'Guess he is dumb,' she thought to herself as she raised her arm to throw him again. Unfortunately he grabbed it right before he was sent flying. Shit.

Her natural power kicked in and she felt the telekinesis disappear as pyrokinesis filled her body. He gripped hard, but she didn't feel any real pain from his flames. Apparently he had some immunity to the heat and she had inherited it. She focused on her arm and what little heat she had felt there faded as well.

So, there it was, he could control his immunity. Rather, he had the potential to. Angelina was smiling now, maybe four seconds passing since he grabbed her arm. "Cool power. What else can you do?" As she spoke this she brought her arm up and focused power through it into her hand. A moment later her palm became a flamethrower as heat roared out.

The force of it was a lot more than she expected, it sent her backwards as it hit him. The grip on her arm broke a moment too soon to save her balance. So she ended up tumbling down onto the grass. She turned it into a roll and was quickly back up on her feet, looking around for what the boy was doing.

Xavier was glad he wasn't thrown for the third time, but also wasn't happy that the girl seemed to have his power now. The thing she did next Xavier hadn't even attempted and it sent them both flying in opposite directions.

He had misjudged her power and now she had his and was using better. She didn't even look like she got burnt like Xavier usually did. That made him more pissed, he stood up and his fire grew in heat and size.

Xavier wasn't going to wait until the girl recovered. It was time she take some damage instead of just him. He ran forward again. If she wanted to pick a fight with him then so be it. His fire went ahead of him heading straight towards her. He wasn't going to just let his fire reach her because he didn't know how immune she was. He was heading straight towards her gut to pick her up onto his shoulders. He was taking this to physical level and he wasn't worried about her safety. she had proven she could hold her own, but if this worked she was about to regret it.
