“Oh thanks, Sophmobile, but it’s more like the other way around,” And she was sure she was going nuts. He made her crazy in so many ways. Passion? Was that what it could be called? Okay, sure when they fought it was always heated and intense and she had to admit it made her that much more attracted to him. Fine, so it was passion, but it was still frustrating! “Is it a good thing? I mean when I fight with him I want to smack him on the one hand, but on the other I just want to shut him up by kissing him and gosh is it amazing when I kiss him,” But that was beside the point. “It just doesn’t seem like a healthy thing we have going.”
Layla sighed softly and twirled a strand of the newly dyed strand of purple hair around her finger. “I’m afraid that if I play hard to get…that he won’t chase me,” That seemed like a legit fear right? Sure Riley showed some interest, but it was more like he was trying to get her to chase him and when she finally caught him he disappeared in her grasp. It was like cats with a laser pointer. That’s what she felt like. “That’s just it though, we ran into each other at this club that I went to after getting a little buzzed on the new wine my parents bought. We were dancing, flirting and then all of a sudden he just pulled away and went to the bar leaving me there. So naturally I start dancing with another guy right? Because I’m not going to let that ruin my night…well he decided to find some skanky blonde, no offense to blondes, and he’s like feeling her up. It could be because I kinda kissed the random guy, but still! Then he leaves with her, she walks back in, I get irritated and the douche face that I was dancing with walks out and tries to get with me. Seriously thought I was going to get sexually abused. All of a sudden, Riley swoops in and beats the guy.” She sighed after her rant and shook her head, “Jealousy worked, but it also kind of didn’t. He’s a lot better at it than I am…”
Another thing to irk her about him.
Layla looked up at her bestie and tilted her head to the side as she hooked up the speakers. As soon as the song started playing, Lay laughed and stood up. She danced along and mouthed the words, half wishing she could sing just because of this. Oh if Riley ever found out that her guilty pleasure wasn’t geeky things, but rather Mamma Mia, he’d never let her live it down. She jumped off the bed and danced over to Sophie, laughing the whole time. They were a crazy pair, whoever ended up with them would get the whole package and have to live with that. Poor, poor boys.
