All in all, it had been a pretty good day. It was a quiet day, to be sure. Shane was rather certain that he hadn't spoken more than a dozen words the entire day. Which, to be quite honest, was perfectly fine with him.

He strode cautiously into the library, making sure there weren't too many people around. He had decided, on a whim, to make his hair rainbow colored for the day. Hair wasn't as difficult or as painful as other things, thankfully. He absolutely despised his brown hair.

He really just wanted to check out the books he needed and get back to his dorm to study for his upcoming history test. He didn't need any interruptions.

Shane searched through the aisles quickly and quietly, until he found it in the row of books nearest the floor. He grabbed it and shot up rapidly, the book shooting straight out of his hands and hitting someone nearby.

Kam had just finished the last of her classes, it had been a long day. Okay, every school day felt long to her, so today wasn’t any different. Just like all the other days, but that was okay, Kamillia wasn’t much of a complainer, she just shrugged it off. However, now she had nothing to do, well, she did have things to do, but nothing important, at least to her it wasn’t important…

Now, she was just roaming everywhere on her skateboard, and ‘accidently’ bumping into them. Mostly either really cute guys, or really dumb girls… She bumped into her English teach in the halls, he actually reminded her of something she had been meaning to do, she couldn’t believe she had forgotten, okay that was a lie, she could believe it. Kam tried not to roll her eyes as the teacher lectured her once again about the importance of getting your homework in on time. She merely nodded, and smiled like an idiot. It wasn’t till he let her be on her way that she finally let out the eye roll, including a sigh of frustration. Frustration mostly at herself, but frustration none-of-the-less.

It didn’t take Kam long to get to the library, and no, she did not stop skateboarding. No rules could hold this chick back from doing what she wanted. It wasn’t like her skateboard made a lot of noise, if any at all. However, the Liberian did yell at her, and she got off her skateboard and started walking, yet another sigh escaped her lips. She did not want to be lectured again, she was quite tired of it. She really wasn’t paying attention to the flying book as she her attention was still on the Liberian. But once her eyes were focused in front of her, she didn’t have enough time to react to what was about to happen. “shit” she mumbled as the book hit her nose, she kneeled down, hand over her nose, and of course she had dropped her skateboard. She really hoped her nose wasn’t broken… she had a lot of broken bones, and didn’t mind breaking a few more, but she liked her nose, and it was the one thing she didn’t want to break.

Shane stood there for a moment before slowly looking over at the girl he had hit with the book. "Oh no..." He hadn't just hit anyone, no, he had hit a girl. And not just a girl, but a cute one at that! He really hoped he hadn't caused any permanent damage! He would never, ever forgive himself if he had broken cute girl's nose.

He rushed over to her before putting his hand over his mouth. "Are you alright? Is it bleeding or broken? Should I call someone?"

Kam took a few deep breaths. Her nose was pulsing, which wasn’t a good sign. She groaned and looked up at the boy who had came over. Was this the bastard who threw the book? Yeah, she was assuming things… Now, she wondered if she should be a bitch, or be nice. That question was quickly answered by how nice this guy was being. She would be a huge bitch if she did anything but return his niceness.


“I’m fine, thanks.” She felt her nose, taping it slightly with the tips of her fingers. “I think I will be fine. It doesn’t feel broken… And I’m not bleeding. Am I?” her nose felt numb, and wasn’t sure if it was bleeding from where the book hit it, she knew her nose itself wasn’t bleeding, she would be able to feel that. “While you’re looking. How does it look in general? Does it look bad?” It probably looked swollen, and turning purplish, she would totally have to check it out with Dr. Nik.

He shook his head slightly as she took her hand off of her nose so he could see the damage that he had caused. God, that was so stupid! Who was even clumsy enough to manage to hit a cute girl standing across the room with a book! Of course this could only happen to him!

Anyway, her nose looked a bit swollen, and it was starting to turn purple around where he had hit her with that hardcover history book which was mostly forgotten at the moment. If he had to, he would take her to the nurse, but for now....

"Wow, yeah. It looks swollen and purple. I am so so so SO sorry about this!I really am. I was just trying that book, when.." He made a swooping motion with his hands with a swishing noise to go along with it.

"Um, that probably wasn't the best first impression, but I'm Shane. It's nice to meet you, besides, y'know, hitting you in the face."
