Keyboards & Chaos (Noa and Gabe)

Jade had to admit that she didn't expect this lesson to be this hands on. He was even guiding her hands to the keys, her pale white skin contrasted by the black polish on her nails. Either Gabe was flirting with her or just really had his own way of teaching. But then again, he was easy going and fun to be around and she wasn't going to expect him to be a boring teacher that just asked you do things and sat there with his arms crossed.

She was quite aware of when Noa got up, hearing things clang around in the kitchen and she turned her head slightly at the noise, only to turn back to Gabe to shake her head. She said nothing though and instead ran her fingers along each of the keys to test them out, giving the name to the place she was touching in her mind to help her remember, curling her fingers." I think I've got it. And don't worry about the sexy factor." No matter what Jade did, she always tried to do it with a certain amount of personal style and it showed.

Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Noa strut back into the living room and return to her post on the sofa with a bowl of ice cream. She wasn't going to do the spoon thing, was she? Oh man, she had a good view of it from her peripheral and wanted to face palm. Was she seriously doing this right now? Trying to seduce her music tutor with eating ice cream seductively?

She'd just met Gabe and barely spoken two words to him, but Jade knew how Noa worked and shouldn't have expected anything less. It was just distracting when she was trying to learn a musical instrument. Annoyed, she placed her fingers on two keys near each other and pressed down repeatedly, as if to signal not so subtly to her roommate that she was going overboard.

Gabe raised an eyebrow when Jade shook her head at her roommate clanking around in the kitchen. Maybe it was distracting to Jade, but he was just used to it - seeing as he frequently played at bars and restaurants. He tried to keep her focused, and continued to place her hands in the right spots when she moved them to the wrong place. "You alright?" Gabe asked, realizing that Jade had suddenly been drawn out of the fram of mind she was previously in.

Then suddenly she banged on a couple keys close together a few times. Minor seconds were horrible. "Woah," Gabe said, placing his hand between Jade's and the keyboard. "Let's take it easy Bach. I need my ears." He was mostly joking but at the same time the sound of a minor second made Gabe's blood run cold. He turned to where Noa was sitting, and noticed she had gotten some ice cream - which was where Jade's outburst seemed to stem from. "did I miss something?" Gabe asked, his triangular eyebrows furrowing down with a bit of confusion.

The clashing notes weren't anything Noa couldn't handle, after the annoyance her power put her through (sitting through a political debate was hell). "Calm your tits, Jade." Noa found it hard to keep a straight face, but she managed, playing it off like she was busy back at her laptop. It was priceless though. Also, it gave her an excuse to use the word tits. Of which she had two. And they were gorgeous.

It was very hard to not burst into laughter at the adorably clueless musician. So Noa put on a look of innocent confusion as she looked to Jade, "Really, what was that about?"

Jade didn't bother to answer if she was alright. Really, she just felt like she needed to babysit Noa. It was also the fact that her roommate was very distracting and played it off as if she hadn't done anything, something she was very good at.

"I think Bach would be offended," she told Gabe. Which was very true. She barely knew how to play the piano yet. And her random banging of keys was merely to show her annoyance at her roommate. But apparently that was lost on the two people in the room.

"Calm your tits, Jade." She had to admit, she did have a fairly low tolerance for stuff like this. Jade saw nothing wrong with flirting with a guy and putting yourself out there. Passion was sexy. But she also believed that being sexy was something natural--not forced. And she was also very easily distracted. It was a good thing that the smallest sign of anger in her did not trigger her power anymore, or somebody would be laying on the floor paralyzed.

Really she just tried to not take it too seriously. If Noa could play it off, then so could she. "At least my tits are staying in my shirt," she tossed at Noa, with a cheeky grin before turning back to Gabe, who still looked confused. This was all in fun and games of course. If Noa was going to play games, then she wouldn't hesitate to fight back. If there was anything about Jad and Noa's friendship, it was that it was unexplainable. She'd known Noa since high school at Hammel and figured out that the only way to not get annoyed with her antics was to join in.

"Yeah I definitely missed something," Gabe noted when suddenly the conversation turned to tits. It wasn't that he didn't like tits... but he didn't understand why they were suddenly a big deal. He turned around a bit in his chair so he could kind of face both Noa and Jade at the same time, figuring now would be a good time for a break since the roommates were seemingly just about to start a heated argument of sorts.

When Jade commented on Noa's choice of attire, Gabe couldn't help but raise his eyebrows in a bit of shock and stifle a small laugh, the way he would if he ever witnessed a verbal girl fight in high school. It was basically the equivalent of drunkenly shouting 'buuuurrrrnnn' when he was sober. It was probably uncalled for, because Noa had every right to dress the way she wanted in her own apartment - but Jade had brought it up and not Gabe.

"At least my tits are staying in my shirt."

Noa grinned back, aware that she probably shouldn't be barging in on her roommate like this, but unable to resist the attention and the challenge and the banter. She didn't mean any ill-will to either of them, really. She was just an attention whore.

"Fair enough. But it's just my PJs. You see me in this every night," she pointed out, rationally. Noticing Gabriel's stifled laugh, she turned on him, still smiling without a touch of malice on her face. "What do you think, Gabriel? Is it so wrong to wear my PJs around our place?" She presented it bluntly, almost managing to- nope, nope, she had to add it.

Her lips slipped into that cocky grin as she added, "Or do my tits just look too awesome." She presented it as a joke, but she didn't really mean it that way. Because, yeah, her tits did look awesome. She chose that bra for a reason.

"Uh... I have no problem with you wearing pajamas... I do however have a problem commenting on any part of the female anatomy of somebody I just met," Gabe admitted, putting his hands up in defense. Sure, she looked good. But so did most girls. At any point in time. Wearing anything. Gabe could find something beautiful about any girl he came across, really.

"I think we can agree we're all lovely people here," Gabe added, trying to calm any sort of banter that was arising. He believed it was all in good fun, but he didn't know Noa or Jade well enough to be 100% sure. It did seem to escalate pretty quickly and out of nowhere.

"It's not that you're wearing your pajamas that bugs me--it's that you feel the need to accentuate your already huge boobs," Jade said with a shrug. Of course, in reality, it didn't really bug her that much. If you had it, flaunt it. She just didn't like when people went completely overboard. You shouldn't have to try so hard to get someone's attention. In fact, Jade appreciated boobs a lot, being bi-sexual and all and she wouldn't deny that Noa did look good.

She placed her hands on the keyboard again, going over the scales Gabe had taught her. She picked up pretty fast on things like this, so she wasn't too shabby already. "We are all lovely, even that sexy bitch--" she said, jerking a thumb over at Noa with a smile. Gabe probably didn't realize that it was usually used as an endearing term with them. Noa could be a bit much, especially when it came to guys and going overboard trying to impress them.

Really, she just wanted Noa to end up with a great guy who could appreciate more than just her boobs and sex.

Noa was a little annoyed that she hadn't gotten more of a rise out of him, but Gabe seemed like a sweet, well-meaning guy. Jade's comment, however just begged for a response. "What, you mean-" she grabbed her own boobs, pushing them together for dramatic effect (she maybe liked to do things that shocked people), "-these? Are you referring to these?" It was very very difficult to keep a straight face, and a smile was fighting its way onto her face as she jiggled herself. This was kinda hilarious.

But, in the end, she should really just let it go - for now. So she removed her hands and rolled her eyes, good-naturedly, "Fine, fine... Have it your way." She really didn't mind letting up - the banter had been highly entertaining, and she was sure it would return. But for now she leaned over the side of the couch (totally intentionally unintentionally showing off her cleavage yet again) to retrieve a sweatshirt and pulled it on, zipping it up past the neckline of her cami.

As she resettled herself to return to her computer (Jade didn't think she was going to actually leave, did she?), she shot Jade a joking smirk, "Better, miss Prudish?" She'd had her attention fix for now, and could handle letting them be about their business. Unless Gabe kept flirting. She wasn't sure how long she could go without pointing that out. For Jade's sake, of course.

Gabe leaned over toward Jade and whispered, "I understand why you warned me now." He laughed a little, and turned back around in his chair to face the piano. Their attention turned back toward the scales Jade was playing, and she was picking up on them pretty quickly, which made everything a whole lot easier for Gabriel.

She finished playing the last scale on the page of music he'd set in from of her. Clapped a little and said "Brava! Belisima!" a smile crossing his lips. "Seriously though, you're doing great. You pick up on this a lot faster than some of my other students." Gabriel pulled another piece of sheet music out of the folder he'd brought, and set it in front of Jade. "And as promised... Mary had a Little Lamb. Told you I'd make you a star," Gabe joked, feeling a little bad that the music he was offering was so childish. However simplicity was the best way to learn and that meant a few weeks of nursery rhymes and other children's tunes. "Let's rock and roll, man."

"Yes, those boobs," Jade pointed out when Noa squished her breasts together. "They're even distracting me and I'm more of a butt person." Sometimes Jade could be too honest. Her and Noa had that in common. Sometimes they just gave too much information.

She watched from the corner of her eye as Noa pulled on a sweatshirt and turned to Gabe. "Right? She comes off strong, but she means well...most of the time." It was true. Jade was nothing but honest. And it wasn't as if she and Noa were mortal enemies. It was just that their differences sometimes didn't help them get along; however, she still valued Noa as a friend.

She continued playing the scales, running her fingers along the keys when Gabe complimented her. "Why thank you, Mr. James." She was pleased that she was picking up quickly. She did with most things. It was a god-send. "Oh god, not Mary." She rolled her eyes when he pulled out more sheet music. "You ready for this Noa?" She was sure it wouldn't be too hard to master the song, especially if she played it constantly. Noa would have to deal with it. "Gimme," she said to Gabe, with twinkling eyes. "Let's do this."

Noa waved a hand at them without glancing over, her attention focused on her screen. It was hard to bite her tongue, when Jade was spouting off things that begged for a snappy comeback, but she'd implied she'd leave them be, so she'd try to stick to it. Even if that was incredibly difficult. Because, really - ugh - they were so obviously flirting with each other, it was hard to hold back.

Gabe watched on as Jade fumbled through the piece the first time, though after a couple times, she almost had it perfect. She stumbled over her fingers a bit, like they were confused and never 100% certain of where to go, but she was definitely progressing quickly. "That was lovely darling, bravo, bravo," Gabriel said in an awful attempt at a British accent. "I want you to keep practicing between lessons though. To get your confidence up. Playing an instrument is like... 90% confidence. You could be playing crap but if you look good doing it, the audience will be convinced," Gabe promised - always happy to share his secret to success. You gotta fake it to make it.

"I'll give you a couple more pieces to figure out on your own too," Gabe said, reaching for a copy of a couple other easy songs. He held out to loose papers to Jade, and gave her a questioning glance. "Think you can handle it?" he asked dramatically.

"I'll try my hardest, even if this semester at college is trying to kill me," Jade said with a beaming smile. She had the upmost confidence that she'd pick this up in no time, especially with the easy pieces Gabe was handing her, but she was also trying not to get too cocky about it. She wanted to look graceful while doing it. "And I wouldn't worry about confidence too much. I've got a pretty big supply." She nodded as he handed her a few more pieces of music. "Definitely. Mary Had a Little Lamb is gonna sound like a masterpiece when I'm done with it."

Her eyes panned over to Noa who was still on the sofa. "Have you taken an oath of silence?"
