This was all his fault. Oriel knew that. What the hell could he have been thinking, that this group of people could possibly get along? Even if Madison was an asshole who couldn't keep his mouth shut, or Kodah was a hotheaded time bomb, ready to fight at the slightest provocation. Oriel knew all this yet still hoped that they could get along....shit, this wasn't supposed to happen. All Oriel wanted was to have his friends over and reminisce in the nostalgia of giving them a meal like he used to. He just wanted it to feel like that again....but it all went to hell, and it was all Oriel's fault.
Oriel could still feel the soreness in his hand from where he struck at Kodah. He was shaking with fury, with upset, and about a million other things that he couldn't identify. Oriel couldn't believe he'd actually lashed out at his (best) friend, and the look he'd received from Kodah hit him hard, harder than a mere punch. Making matters worse, Lux had gotten a teacher to pull them apart, looking down on them and demanding answers. Well, Oriel wasn't going to give them to her, it wasn't any of her fucking business. And of course it was Madison who first opened his mouth, followed by yet another outburst by Kodah. "Shut up!" he yelled, though he wasn't quite sure at who. His eyes were fixed on some distant corner, away from everyone he didn't want to see. He wasn't even thinking about Lux or Penelope or the blonde chick or the dude with the bat, when the hell did he get here anyway?
But Kodah's next words bit into him even further, and the immature child he was, Oriel responded the only way he knew how. "Fuck you!! I never needed you anyways!" Oriel screamed at Kodah with a hard look as he forced the burn of bitter tears back from his eyes. He didn't need Kodah or anyone else here. He picked up a nearby glass and threw it at Kodah, barely missing the other boy, letting it shatter against the wall behind him. "Get out!! Get the fuck outta here! I hate you!" Words he didn't really mean, but couldn't help but say. Oriel looked around him for something else to throw, no longer caring that the teacher was there.
