Notes for Katy Bishop

- Halloween. Has dressed as an angel for three years running, each time the outfit having less and less actual clothes.

- Had a pet canary called Albert whom she used to sing with every morning. Albert was killed by Meow Mix, Kailin's cat, although Katy believes it was the twins.

- Sings with current pet canary, Albert II, every morning as well, which is okay now she has her own room.

- When Kailin came home Katy was extremely excited, but was too young to do anything with her. When the twins came, she was doubly excited and spent loads of time with them. By the time Savvy arrived, Katy was kind of bored.

- Out of all of them, Katy likes Savvy the least. She always saw Savvy as being really annoying. This is partly down to Savvy being girly and Katy being more of a tomboy.

- Had to learn to like spiders and bees because of Zach and Claud.

- Always turns to her big brothers, Devlin and Gordon, when she's feeling particularly down.

- Katy and Claud have shared a room for most of their life, it was only when Devlin moved out that they each got their own rooms. It was strange for Katy, sleeping by herself.

Relationships with siblings

Claudia: Katy is best friends with Claudia. She really looks up to her and used to follow her around a lot when she was younger.

John & Jack: Ever since they were babies, Katy's really liked the twins. She can even tell the two apart! Most of the time...

Gordon: When Katy feels depressed, Gordon is always there for her. Even though he's really bad at listening. And fidgety. And could talk all the legs off of a millipede. And even if he doesn't really want to be there for her. Also, Gordon has always had the ability to make Katy feel laugh.

Gaige: They share a lot, like music, their sexuality and almost a birthday. Gaige was the one Katy first came out to, when she was 16.

Devlin: For many of the same reasons as Gordon, except the age gap is a lot more than Gordon and Devlin can't make Katy laugh like Gordon.

Savvy: Katy has always found Savvy annoying. This is partially because she's quite girly and Katy is more of a tomboy.

Lany: Lany has always been quite cute in Katy's eyes. Sure, she's really quiet and shy, but she's a baby sister. She also feels kind of bad that she spent so much time with the twins and not Lany.

Zach: Zach is the older brother Katy least looks up to, but sometimes she can empathise with him. He's kind of moody and boring, which is the complete opposite of Katy when she's happy and the same as Katy when she's depressed.

Rory: Rory has always been like a second mum to Katy. They don't really get along as such, but Katy probably loves her more than the others. She loves Rory as a mother-figure rather than as a friend.

Kailin: Katy is pretty neutral towards Kailin, or atleast she tries to be. She doesn't really spend much time with her, but has no reason to dislike her. Katy sometimes feels bad that she didn't bond with Kailin.

More about the twins:

John and Jake will do anything on a day. Something I'm sure the siblings have taken advantage of, if you want a specific situation just lemme know.

The two hero worship Gordon, constantly get Zach to check for crawly things (they were also the ones to kill his cactus (they watered it with soda) although I think it'd be great if they blamed it on another siblings because they were afraid he'd send the spiders to get them.

The two use Dev for more of a second father than a brother and expect him to help them get out of trouble.

Gaige told the twins the truth about Claudia. They retaliated by cutting his hair when he was sleeping. And although they do try to be extra nice to her, it's mostly when Gaige is around and watching. Truthfully, they're a little creeped out by her and her bees.

Aurora's peppiness never gets on their nerves, mostly because they are just as peppy. Sometimes her mom-ing does though.

The twins are fairly gullible. At one point someone (perhaps Gaige or another older sibling they were annoying) tried to convince them that they were adopted. They believed it for three weeks until someone else put them straight.

Family note:

Every summer they all go to their vacation home (somewhere near water), and it's a miserable drive, packed into two or three cars, but also entertaining (depending on who they’re stuck with). Songs are sung and car games played, because the parents outlaw ipods for at least half of the drive. The twins play punch-buggy and cruiser bruisers, so everyone hates being in whichever car has the twins.

The vacation home has single and bunk beds, but also has hammocks, so some people opt to sleep in hammocks or on the couches on the closed in porch. Somehow, they manage to have a lot more alone time, since they don't have to room together, but they're forced to hang out more, probably because there isn't any cable TV and the internet is exceptionally slow. They manage to always have a decent time, thanks to the water and the sun and the fact that the house is mostly empty because everyone is out enjoying the water and the sun.

[Gordon Bishop]

- Gordon desperately tries to live up to Dev's example by being as olderbrothery as he can to all of his younger siblings. Between Dev and Rory, he tends to feel like a third (or rather a fourth) wheel.

-Gordon tries his best to maintain a good relationship with all his siblings, because honestly, they're his best and longest lasting friendships. Most outside friendships lose integrity pretty fast.

-Lany is quiet and soft-spoken, and often feels overshadowed by her siblings. Her birthday, April 22nd, is her favorite day because then she knows that they're all obligated to pay attention to her.
-She loves horses and takes trips to the Pilot Ridge stables, where she works and takes riding lessons.
-She was a late bloomer; she manifested just before she turned 15, much to her relief. She didn't want to be the only one without a power.
-Lany chooses only one sibling to feel very close to (maybe Gaige, because he has the same middle-kid syndrome, or Claudia)
-Often over-sensitive and doesn't understand a lot of jokes.

-He feels particularly close to his sisters Katy and Lany; Katy because of their similar interests and sexuality and Lany because of how she feels a bit overshadowed
-Feels overshadowed by his older brothers, which might be why he's so desperate to make it in the music industry
-Finds Savvy to be an annoying brat, but loves her anyway, even if he won't admit it. Same for the twins
-Started showing interest and males and females when he was sixteen and really didn't think anything of it. Slowly his siblings started asking him questions and he honestly answered that he just liked both.

More Claudia facts.

• Claudia has a bit of a niche role amongst her siblings. She's the 'scary' one, not only because of her power but also because of her ridiculously frightening death stare. Equally a bitch as she is a beauty queen, Claudia can be her siblings greatest ally or their most fearsome rival.
  
• Having been adopted into a predominantly male tribe Claudia had to learn early on to stand her ground and demand respect from her elder siblings. Unlike the more motherly and calm Aurora, Claudia maintains a more feisty front to her elder sister, providing a near perfect foil for Aurora's more phlegmatic disposition.
  
• She is currently at College, originally studied fashion but that soon evolved into a rather...unique course. Sex therapy and counselling. It has resulted in many awkward family conversations.
  
• Claudia was somewhat influenced by her elder brothers and as a result fell in love with biking. At the moment she rides a Kawasaki ZX12R Ninja, it's her baby. Do not scratch it.
  
• She has a chronic obsession with online shopping. She has, on occasion, maxed out her credit just to sate her desire for clothes and makeup.
  
• Being the second oldest girl after Aurora should have taught Claudia a thing or two about cleanliness...but she is notoriously messy. Hygiene wise she is impeccable, when it comes to cleaning her own mess she'll simply leave it there. Her room is often scattered with clothes, bras and shoes.
  
• She has an ex-boyfriend who was disliked by the entire Bishop clan. He must not be named. He was emotionally abusive and lazy.
  
• Whilst she adores all of her siblings to varying extents she can't help but show a little favouritism to the other girls. Claudia will not hesitate to dress them up and make them prettier.
  
• She is an accomplished Latin dancer, getting the skill from her deceased mother. It is an activity which is her predominant form of exercise.
  
  Relationship with siblings
  
• Devlin - The Alpha of the pack and one of only a few Bishops to keep her sass at bay. Claudia adores him as a big brother and has fond memories of her childhood with him. He was the one who demanded she end the abusive relationship she had with her ex, whilst it was an exceptionally painful period in her life she can't help but feel indebted to him for getting rid of the boyfriend.
  
• Zach - The melancholic emo of the family and one who Claudia often butts heads with. He's mopey, boring and too smart for his own good, but there's no denying Claudia's underlying respect for him.
  
• Aurora - Claudia's older sister and the only sibling (besides Devlin) that can keep Claudia from turning into a rage queen. Aura is a trusted confidante and a surrogate mother to the adopted Bishop and one of the biggest inspirations to Claudia, even if its a secret. Find memories include finding bras for a younger Claudia and dressing the younger girls up for the fun of it.
  
• Gordon - Good ole Gordon will always a reliable sibling. Claudia finds him wholesome and respectable, one of her best friends during her childhood.
  
• Gaige - Is the awkward middle child and apparently the instigator to some family issues between her and the rest of the bishop tribe. In secret, Claudia was very very hurt by his bullying, having her younger siblings avoid her beacause of him is painful.
  
• Katy - Her best friend, former roommate and the 'sexy angel' to her 'sexy devil'. Claudia is most open with Katy, adoring her company and often sneaking into her bed for cuddles. Claudia has grown accustomed to Katy's early morning singing, so it doesn't not wake her up earlier than she would like to arise.
  
• Lany - Who? Claudia finds Lany's verbal absence rather jarring and thinks of the girl like some awkward ghost. But, she's still her sister and will protect her as such.
  
• Kaillin - Is always a reliable sibling, one who Claudia will shamelessly drag along with her one shopping endeavours if Katy is busy. Kallie is typically showered with affection, dressed up to perfection (because of Claudia, obviously) and often Claudia's first choice of 'mannequin' whenever she wants to practise makeup on someone.
  
• Jonothan & Jacob - Two little boys who know how scary Claudia can be, and for that she adores them. In Claudia's eyes they have a rather humorous relationship, she's the scary older sister and they're the two little brothers. Of all the siblings she is the least likely to be pranked, because they know her vengeance will be swift and ruthless. Besides that she'd occasionally take them out for joyrides on her bike, as long as they beg and clean it right after.
  
• Savannah - Adorable little Savvy was one of the biggest victims of Gaige's gossip all those years ago, and although things have gradually changed both girls have a lot to go through to ever have a relationship that's more than just shallow fun. Claudia truly does love the youngest girl, and was extremely hurt when she did not receive the same innocent affection the rest of the siblings received. Now, as they are older, things are looking a little better. Claudia will dress her up and ensure that she's constantly primped and preened to perfection and knowing Savvy is trying her hardest to win her approval is a strangely nice feeling for the adopted Bishop.
  

[Devlin Bishop]

> Dev was born on July 4th.

> His powers manifested in October, 2001; he was 13.

> The Bishop parents love to dust off the story of Devlin's first steps - he watched them dancing together in the living room to the Bee Gees, and one day he got up to join them. He tries to deny it, but he still really does love their music.

> Aurora and Devlin used to get up super early every morning and pack lunches for the Bishop tribe to take to school.

> When Claudia joined the family, Dev already thought of her as a sister-type anyway, so he accepted her with open arms.

> Dev was the one who eventually managed to scare off Claudia's abusive ex. Specifically, he lost his temper, flew off the proverbial handles and threatened to shoot him.

> Because he spent so much of his time stressing because he was away from the family, Devlin's grades suffered. He failed a class once when he was 14 (2002) and had to make up for it at summer school. He was very apologetic for making the family alter the dates for the trip.

> Originally, Devvy wanted to go into medicine like his father. But he didn't have the grades or time, so he opted for the police force instead. At least that way he was doing the town some kind of service.

> He decided to learn to play guitar when he was young so he could keep his siblings further entertained. He still plays from time to time to keep the skill sharp, but he doesn't plan on doing anything with it.

Sibling Relationships
Zach:
Aurora: She's the pseudo-mother to his pseudo-father status. She taught him to cook so he could be more useful in the kitchen. They're incredibly close.
Claudia: They used to play together a lot when they were kids. He keeps her in line from time to time, and she keeps him from losing it whenever he might argue or bicker with another sibling. He never gets mad at her.
Gordon: Dev's very proud of Gordon for his decision to be a firefighter. He worries about him constantly, but doesn't voice it very often - if at all.
Gaige:
Katy:
Lanie: Dev always tries to take the time to talk to her and spend time with her, one on one. He's found that she's attached herself to him, and he doesn't mind one bit. She keeps him calm, and he tries to bring her out of her shell whenever he can.
Kaillin:
Jonothan & Jacob: Sometimes he wonders if they actually like him. He bails them out of trouble and keeps it from dad. When he gets caught covering for them, he argues with their dad about it. But he's never told them about that side of things.
Savannah: She's the baby - the last of the pack. And so Dev's feels the need to protect her the most. He struggles to say no to her whenever she wants something, but as she's grown he's gotten a little better at it. She can be a bit full on at times. It's why he's a little glad Sav's so close to Aurora.

Uh oh.

Clashing histories, guys. Eddie and Trix - either Aurora has to manifest older or Devlin has to manifest younger in order for Dev to be the first Bishop at Hammel. Currently, Rory manifested some time between September 2002-March 2003, and Devlin manifested August 2003. I could see either one of them jumping forward/back a year to make it fit. But as it stands, Rory manifested first in the family, making her the first to attend Hammel, and I personally agree with Eddie's app history that Devlin should've been the first.


On a separate note: Savvy (wanting to make amends for being mean to Claud when she was younger) became a doll for Claud to dress however she wished She still feels a swell of pride whenever Claud says she looks nice, and will ask for outfit advice. Her interactions are shadowed by Savvy's shame and guilt over having treated Claud as anything less than her sister.

More stuff on Zach. Will update as more plots are made.

- When Zach was younger, he was less moody and gloomy. This was a thing that developed over time.

- Zach played with GI Joes and Barbie dolls when he was a kid.

- Maaaybe, as he started helping Dev take care of the younger ones more and more, he would probably tell the kids insane bed-time stories.

- When Zach got into University, he realized he couldn't concentrate on his schoolwork because of everything going on in the house, and that's why he moved out. He didn't want his family to become the reason why he couldn't complete his coursework. Probably because he started getting scared that if that happened, he might start to resent his family. He does a little, but he still loves them to death.

- Even after he moved out, Zach would come over several times a week, especially at the request of the twins or Savvy.

- After he manifested, Zach was always the one who had to retrieve lost baseballs/soccerballs/etc off the roof.

- Zach would always dread going on the family vacations, because it took time away from his writing or just being introverted, as in, "I'm sorry, I can't go play with you because I have plans to spend the day in my room by myself" way. But in the end, he would always have a good time watching his siblings have fun(sometimes he would join them) and found the break relieving.

- Zach likes any kind of music, he finds it to be a good stimulation for his muse. He has playlists he listens to when he in "the zone" on a big writing project. He tends to vary the tone of the music to match with the scenes he's writing.

- Zach hates chemistry and physics. Too much math, though he never had too much trouble with mathematics until he got into college(which, considering his major, wasn't too big a handicap).

- Zach's first sexual experience was with his best friend(male). It happened only once and was a result of teenage experimentation. They decided not to pursue anything because his friend decided he wasn't gay.

- He likes RPGs like Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts. No shooter games for him(sorry Dev), but he'll indulge if asked. He's terrible at them.

- Zach based a lot of his characters in his writings in HS and early college on his siblings, because they are so diverse and he knows them the best, so they're easy to write.

- I think maybe Zach and Devlin were really close when they were kids, like Zach would follow him around everywhere, but as they got older and Dev's attentions started being separated amongst the other siblings, they drifted apart. Zach probably saw how much trouble it was for Dev to the the "responsible dad-like older brother" and so took it upon himself to take care of himself to lessen the load.

- When Dev failed a class, I think Zach might've said something insensitive or made fun of him for it. Zach regrets it to this day.


Relationships/Opinions/etc on Sibs
Devlin - Zach looks up to him and thinks he's everything Zach isn't.

Aurora - He likes how together she seems and sometimes wishes that he were younger so that he could have gotten the same kind of motherly attention she gives the younger siblings.

Claudia - Mixed feelings about her. They butt heads a lot, but Zach can't bring himself to dislike her too much. He thinks she could stand to be less of a queen. Also, she kind of scares him.

Gordon - Zach also admires Gordon, for his outgoing nature.

Gaige - He likes that Gaige is striving to be a musician. Zach has every song he's recorded on his playlist.

Katy - He likes to listen to her sing. Zach wishes they were closer.

Lany - She's adorable. Zach has based many characters off of her. He feels like they're alike in many ways, especially since they both manifested late and are introverted.

Kaillin - Teases him and it annoys him. Sometimes those friendly teasing hits him where it hurts most and he retreats to be more emo.

Johnathan and Jacob - They killed his cactus. This means war. After that, he would sometimes lie and tell them about all the spiders that lived in their mattress. He finds the twins the most annoying.

Savannah - The baby and the one Zach feels closest to. He would do anything for her and is one of the few family members that he can stand to be around for more than 5 minutes and not get annoyed. I imagine he's pretty protective of her and might have scared off the other siblings who were bullying her. And maybe scared off a few prospective boyfriends too.(maybe?) After he moved out, maybe he secretly put a key to his apartment in her room so she could come over anytime?

Now that Aura is finished (and accepted) I have a better understanding of her so...

Relationship With Sibs:

Devvy - The one who is probably the most similar to Aurora in terms of how they deal/feel about each sibling. Aurora clung to Dev when she was younger, adoring him completely because for a while she was the baby sister that he looked over and the first of many to come. They both became the caretakers when their parents began to work more to make money so they both understand what it is to take care of so many kids all at once. Over all, I think she's closest to Dev

Zach (Probably called Zachy) - Aura adores Zach close to as much as she adores Dev (though that could be said for most siblings). Zach was her next in line big brother who she occasionally went to if she couldn't find Devlin. I feel like maybe since Dev and Zach were close when they were young, she'd have been right there with them to tag along and noticed when the two boys started drifting apart? With everything he does, I see Aura being his little cheerleader, constantly encouraging him to do whatever makes him happy.

Claudia - As much as Aurora loved being the baby girl in the family, when Claudia joined, she was ecstatic. Finally another girl so she wasn't surrounded by these boys! I feel like Aurora is closest with Claudia as far as the girl siblings go because of that fact. She doesn't pay much attention to the fact that Claud was adopted because she was four when it happened and she just was so happy that she finally had someone that could like the same things she did, even if she wasn't quite right. Aura tries her hardest to keep Claudia level-headed and calm and if Claudia ever needed anything, Aurora would be there in a heartbeat.

Gordon - She'd absolutely love his personality and is very proud of the path he took. Like Dev, she worries about Gordon and I see her being a nervous Nelly whenever the two boys go off to work because of the danger they put themselves in.

Lany -

Kailin- Aura appreciates the way that Kailin is about cleaning and is happy that her sister helps to at least keep herself clean without Aurora having to do a whole lot. She likes to give Kailin as much attention as she can seeing as how she's not quite the youngest and her (along with Lany, Gordon and Gaige) all got lumped into the middle-child syndrome.

John and Jake - Her favorite younger siblings. As devious as they come across to her sometimes, she loves them and every time she hears "Aura save us!" she's always there for protection from the disgruntled sibling that they encountered.

Savannah - As Savannah's big sister, she listens to the girl if she has problems and tries to help as best as she can. On occasion she'll direct Savannah to Dev if she thinks he'd handle the problem better than she can. Whenever Savannah storms off, Aurora typically just goes back to whatever it is she was doing before because whatever she said clearly wasn't what the baby wanted to hear. She tries her best to do what she can, but in some situations she just doesn't know how to approach it.

Just a few thoughts:

- Maybe one of the reasons Gaige was so bitter about Claudia when he was younger was because she took his place? He would've been the youngest non-baby when she was taken in/adopted (depending on the time of year, he could've been the baby, and the parents could've been distracted with the aunt and uncle), and even though he doesn't remember it he is bitter because she took his parents attention away from him, so he didn't get his full time having all the attention.
