The Basics
Name: Devlin Christopher Bishop
Nicknames: Dev, Devvy, "Devil", "Deville"
Age: 25
Orientation: Heterosexual
Desired Rank/Job: Police Officer
Powers: Duplication: The ability to replicate oneself. Each unit is a generlised copy of the original, and not an independent being. Devlin can create up to four duplicates. Once reformed to one being, it takes a few moments to reconnect with reality as he has to piece the memories of their time together into one coherent mental explanation. Another side effect pertains to injuries - if a clone is hurt and reformed to the original, Devlin receives the injury on a lesser scale. He also experiences somewhat severe headaches the longer he is separated.

General Appearance: Dev is 6'1. Though he can appear to be a bit on the slender side, Devlin is actually incredibly built and his body is quite toned. It's a necessity really, given the job he has he has to remain fit and strong. So yes, the definition in his muscles is obvious.
His hair is dark brown in colour and has a little length to it, though not the way it used to when he was younger. But he styles it all back usually, and the lowest point reaches an inch or so down the line of his neck. Occasionally he might grow it out longer if he wants to, but he finds that difficult with the line of work he's in. In terms of facial hair, Devlin keeps it as neat as he can, but lets it grow long enough to be noticeable. His facial hair reaches from his chin, around his mouth, along the line of his jaw and connects with his sideburns. But it's always in immaculate condition, because he - like everyone else - likes to look good.
When it comes to everyday wear, it should be noted that Devlin looks incredibly amazing in his police uniform. But that really isn't the point of it, now is it? It's just a fact worth knowing. But when it comes to days where he isn't working, Dev is usually found hanging around in jeans and dark coloured long sleeve shirts that fit his body pretty well. And the sleeves are usually rolled up. In summer he, like most others, opts for shorts as opposed to jeans.
Oh and hoodies. He loves hoodies. Because those things are ridiculously comfortable.
Personality: Dev's the guy who taught his siblings to throw a football in the backyard. He's the one who checked the closets and beds at night for monsters - armed with a plastic sword and tiny, ill-sized shield. He forced himself into miniscule chairs and rocked a tiara at a teddy bear tea party like it was nobody's business. He put shaving cream in dad's hand when he slept on the couch and tickled his nose with a feather to get a smile out of a crying kid-sibling. He thought it was a dream life. But as he and his siblings, grew, they changed where he did not. Devlin Bishop struggles to see his siblings - youngers, in particular - as the teenagers they are. He finds it difficult to come to terms with the disappearance of their childhood. It's what makes him so overprotective. It also makes him fiercely loyal to his siblings, whether they want him around or not. If someone does something to hurt the, they're completely done in Devlin's books - they might as well not exist. This is especially important in his love life. If the family don't like someone he's seeing, they're gone. And they have to accept the fact that he feels he'll always have a responsibility to his brothers and sisters.
He aspires to be like his father in that he wants to be the perfect dad. But he could do without having so many offspring in his personal life plan!
Family aside, Dev can be a very stubborn individual when he thinks he's right about something. It's like he has to make sure you know why he thinks he's right otherwise he'll lose the reasoning forever. He hates letting people down, and when he does he can get incredibly down on himself because of it. He has had a few stints where his emotions have gotten the better of him in his life where he's flown off the handles in a fit of rage - because it's so rare, it can be quite scary and jarring when it does happen. He never always socialised when he was younger because he was so busy, so sometimes it takes a while to get him comfortable talking to new people. Other times - particularly if he knows he has something in common with a person - striking up a conversation comes a lot more naturally.
Dev's a really organised person, more so when it comes to work and planning things for other people as opposed to his home life. He's so used to picking up after other people that it comes naturally to him, almost like second nature. He's a very reassuring individual, always open to talk to someone if they need advice, or just a sound board to bounce their frustration off. He tries to be everything for everyone around him, and that's a bit of a downfall. It leaves little time for himself. So Devlin struggles to put himself first in a lot of situations. He sometimes feels that the effort he puts into other people's lives isn't appreciated, but doesn't want to say anything about the fact. Because what if he actually is wrong about something? Nope, it's much easier to be the semi-cool looking guy in the corner who collects Star Wars memorabilia, co-op shooter games and guitars.
And guns. Maybe one or two.

History
Devlin was born first. Did he expect to be an older brother? Yes. Did he expect to be an older brother to so many people? No. Was he happy about each and every sibling he was given? Yes. A thousand times, yes. Even from a young age he adored being part of an ever-growing family. And he adored the responsibility that he all but begged for. From as young as he could remember, he was helping pack lunches and entertain his brothers and sisters to give their parents a little peace and quiet from time to time. He and Zach had always been particularly close as kids - of course! They're the first two!
Despite the age difference, Claudia and Devlin always used to play together at family events. Even as a young boy he felt protective of her. When she was adopted into the family, he couldn't have been happier. Of course, he was only seven. He was way too young to understand what had happened.
His powers manifested at thirteen when another version of himself literally appeared on the couch beside him, and he was the first shipped off to Hammel. That was incredibly difficult for Dev, because it meant obvious distance between himself and his siblings and parents. He spent a lot of his time on the phone and glued to his computer to try and keep up with what they were doing. It was definitely difficult to go from an expanding house full of people to a boarding house, and he struggled intensely. Less than a year later, the loneliness took its toll on Devlin's grades at school, and when he was fourteen he failed a class. It meant he had to make up for it in summer school, and it taught him to be a little more cautious with how he spent his time. But he was really glad to learn that Aurora and Zach were going to join him at Hammel; though he felt selfish for being so happy about it. And when the family moved to Pilot Ridge in 2005, he was overjoyed to be so close to everyone again. More so when sibling after sibling started joining him at Hammel.
When he graduated at the age of eighteen, he moved out of the dorms and back home to save money. He went straight to Greenview Community College to try and obtain some kind of degree. After the first year he found his own place and moved out again. Two more years passed and he reached an associates degree in psychology of all things before he realised it wasn't what he wanted to do. He wanted to join the police force. And that required going to a police academy - something Pilot Ridge didn't have. Begrudgingly, Devlin had to move to Pittsford, Vermont to attend the Police Academy there before he could have any chance of doing what he wanted. Once completed, he passed all his exams, moved back to Pilot Ridge and got a job in the force. In the last few years that he'd been working there, Dev studied part-time to up his associates degree to a bachelors. It helped with the job prospect.
Dev nearly lost it all about a year ago when he discovered the truth behind his sister Claudia's relationship with her boyfriend - the one who mustn't be named. He'd always been suspicious about the guy, but things came to light when he slapped Claudia one night. Aurora and Dev rushed up and the incident ended with Devlin pulling a gun on him and threatening to shoot him. Luckily, Aurora was there to talk him down before he did anything.
And thankfully, the incident went unreported by all parties.
