So, here's how things went down over the past few months. First, Zach was completely immersed in a fucking huge project right after spring break. Then he gets a call about Oliver being in some sort of accident. Now, this is his best friend. There was no way he was going to just leave him there, all by his lonesome in the hospital. So of course Zach had no choice but to hang up some of his classes for a bit fly over to the local hospital to visit the poor English dipweed and keep him company so he didn't shrivel up and die like...a weed.
Or something.
He spend the next couple weeks invading that room and sitting himself in a corner like a piece of furniture right up until finals week. From there, he had to take his leave. Then came the annual family vacation, yet another summer at their summer home where he got to "enjoy" the company of his little siblings and scarily grunt at them when they got too annoying. Little monsters.
Then, once he got back, Zach hit the ground running with yet another semester filled to the brim with classes, with a course count that might make anyone think he was absolutely crazy...but it was either that, or only take two classes next semester, leaving him awkardly in limbo between school and either moving on with graduate work or getting a real job.
It'd been months since he'd seen Ollie. And he felt guilty for that, even though they kept in touch well enough via Facebook and text message.
Zach had no trouble obtaining a visitor's pass to explore the campus that he'd only spent three years at. Well, those three years had a lot of memories, both good and bad. Zach entered to the first floor of the dormitories, heading towards the monitor rooms and almost completely bypassing the large common room. He stopped and awkwardly turned himself to look back around the corner to find the man he was hunting for.
"Ollie!" he called out to the half-asian man.
Or something.
