Any Piercings? Both have their ears pierced.
Any Tattoos? They have a tattoo of one another's name in Chinese on they're left forearm.

General Appearance: Lin may not be identical twins, but it sure looks like they are brothers. They both stand at 5'8" and weigh around 135-140 pounds each. They are a bit tawny in complexion.
Bolin is a bit stockier than his brother, but it's more muscle than anything else. Getting him and his brother to sit down is a challenge. He has a round face with soft features. His smile is long and thin. He has almond eyes that are dark brown and crinkle up when he grins. His hair is a topic of interest. He likes to play with dyes. It is naturally a dark chestnut, but it's been blonde and black and back again. It's usually kept a short length with bangs that go only as far down as his eyebrows, but he has grown it out a bit, never going longer than his nape.
Chonglin is the skinnier one and a bit bony as well. They may be considered the same height, but Chonglin is a smidgen taller if you care to debate with Bolin. His face is also round, but with a softer jaw-line, and a grin that puffs out his cheeks a bit. His eyes are the same hue has Bolin's if not darker. Chonglin doesn't play with his hair. One of them dying it is enough for Lin. Chonglin's hair stays it's dark brown color and short. The bangs are up and out of the way and the back is manageable.
Clothing wise, they wear very similar clothes, and even wear each other's at times. It doesn't matter anyways, they're mentally the same person, and size isn't a problem. They don't worry too much about style either. If it's comfortable why not wear it? They usually stick to t-shirts and jeans which are easy to grab and pretty generic. Almost always at least one of them has a jacket on. They both have their ears pierced. They stick with little studs, and once in they seem to forget about them. If they can sleep with the earrings in then they'll wear them. Lin hates the hassle of long hanging earrings.
Personality: Bolin and Chonglin have always been very close and very similar. In two words to describe both, positive and fun-loving. While they prefer to be with one another, Lin is definitely a people person. Even just knowing there're people around without actually socializing with them makes them feel better than being alone.. They are full of energy, and ready to go have some fun. Neither will turn down a chance to go on an adventure or have a good time. The two of them are very curious, and will think up strange questions (i.e. Do penguins have knees? and Why doesn't the grass turn pretty colors in the fall?).
Out of the two of them, Bolin is considered the responsible one. It doesn't mean he's very responsible, but more so than his brother. He likes to let everyone voice their opinions, and tell their sides of the story, giving everyone a fair chance. Bolin tends to think things out more than his brother, and has a good sense of cause and effect. That doesn't mean he won't have some fun just because he'll get a little detention. He rarely passes up an adventure, and loves to go on adventures with his brother. Only he thinks their schemes out first.
Chonglin, on the other hand, is the impulsive little brother. He doesn't worry about consequences and just goes for the fun in life. He does before he thinks. He's the kind of guy who'll throw out the instructs and build something from his own imagination. He's a bit of a daydreamer with his head in the clouds rather than in the text book on his desk. He's the one who's more likely to ask questions that'll get class off topic.
Since they've began to sync, as all gestalts do, their traits have started to surface in one another. Bolin has more boldly asked their odd questions, and sometimes spaces out with his brother. He's more willing to agree to do something despite consequences, though will still take them into account. Chonglin is more aware of the results of their actions, and hears people out more.
Lin does care about consequences to some degree, but when it comes to the long term future they couldn't care less. They worry more about detention for doing something than about going to college and their future. They have no idea what they want to do after Hammel, or what college they would want to go to. Honestly, that seems like a long ways away to the two of them.Because of this lack of motivation they have horrible work ethics. They scrape by the school years, and just live day by day.

History
Han and Fen's first child was a happy little girl named Dàwei. She was the first of their many children. Two years after Dàwei's birth, a pair of fraternal twins, Tengfei and Fei-yen were brought into the Zhou family. This was no surprise seeing as both parents had a twin sister of their own. Then came along another pair of fraternal twins, this time both boys, Bolin and Chonglin. Like the rest of their siblings, Bolin and Chonglin were born in Tianjin, China on December 29. While they were infants their parents dressed them each in their own color to tell them apart, Bolin in green and Chonglin in yellow, (rather than put them in identical outfits like some crazy parents) to make sure they don't get mistaken for one another. Despite their efforts, Han and Mei have at times mixed them up. Once old enough to realize these mistakes, the two would throw fits whenever it occurred. On the bright side it didn't happen too often. They would watch five year old Dàwei and three year old Tengfei and Feiyen toddle around on their feet. Determined to be like their big siblings, the Lin twins almost skipped crawling all together.
In school they were separated into different classes. It was a big change for Bolin and Chonglin who were side by side since birth. It required some adjustment, but it wasn't drastic. It wasn't like they'd never see each other again. They were only apart during school hours after all. Outside they played with the other kids, but stayed close together. Middle school was average for the most part. A few crushes came and went, but nothing too exciting happened.
In high school was when things got confusing, weird, and generally complicated for the twins. Their power manifested not long before their fourteenth birthday. It wasn't noticed because they were extremely out of sync. The second semester of school arrived, and the twins went to live the Meskill family in Salem, Oregon to go to school their. Will Meskill, the high school student of the family quickly became a close friend. But whenever they got mixed up Bolin and Chonglin would just shut down. Although they learned to accept it, and it slowly came to bother them less.
After a couple of weeks Lin was settling in well with the American school and family. It didn't stay that way long. Recruiters from Hammel arrived and things got confusing. Both Bolin and Chonglin were Chinese citizens with their parents all the way East, but the two of them were currently taking residence in Oregon. After many discussions with Yǒufú de rén and Han and Fen it was decided that Bolin and Chonglin would attend Hammel. The rest of the Zhou family moved to Pilot ridge to be closer to the twins.
Now after a couple of years at the metaschool in America, the twins continue their education. The sync has been going surprisingly smoothly with a few adjustment to be made here and there.
Roleplay Example
It was a day like any other. The summer was slowly nearing an end, and school was drawing close. Outside the summer thunderstorms were finishing up as the cold air crawled into the region. While the thunderstorm meant hours of rain and noisy claps of thunder, it also meant that there would be a beautiful sunny day with 60°F in a few days time. But in the mean time the noisy rain had to waited out.
For Lin this was a dull process. They were cooped up inside with not much their attention span could focus on. In the morning they sat around watching House of Daggers... Twice. First time was because they hadn't seen it in a while, the second time was just because they were bored and could. After that they sat around playing checkers and chess, arguing over that one of them cheated. Well, it was hard to contemplate your next move when your opponent shared your thoughts. After a while they gave up on that, and turned to the game of Life, a board game that couldn't really have cheating. About half way through when Chonglin now had four children, and Bolin was a doctor who lost his job, they found this to be very boring.
Lin left the game on the floor of their room (they figured they may want to continue later, but it wasn't likely), and went to wander aimlessly around the school grounds. They went through the halls of the school turning into hallways that were familiar from the year before. They ran into a familiar friend as they turned the corner. The three of them shared hellos and did a little catching up. When Lin went their separate way from their friend they were left with a borrowed deck of cards.
An empty classroom wasn't far. Bolin and Chonglin settled in, with Chonglin sitting backwards in a desk to face his brother. Bolin dealt five cards each, and they began to play go fish. Now what didn't occur to them was that playing cards against your Gestalt was just like playing chess, very difficult.
"Do you have any 5's?" Bolin knew that his brother did, but began the game with same ol' question everyone asks.
"Here, but I'll take those three aces you got." Chonglin happily traded his five of hearts for the aces. The rest of the game was pretty much them trading their cards. It ended rather quickly, and they continued with a few more rounds. Playing one game that was impossible to play like a normal person got dull.
Bolin slumped over the desk, and the groan expected of him came from Chonglin instead. "This is soooo boring. Make the rain go away!"
"If only weather manipulation came with our little bandwagon of Gestaltness..." Leaning back again Bolin let out a sigh. "Will this day ever end...?"
