Violet Showers (Zac)

"I still think we should use the red one."

"No, he might think it's blood! That's too mean!"

"Ahhh, fine. Purple works too, I guess." Skye pouted a bit, but it was replaced a moment later with a giant grin as the two boys snuck into the boys' locker room and into the showers, trying to look nonchalant when they passed by anyone. After checking to make sure the showers were empty, they quickly darted in, trying to hide their snickers. While Forrest pulled out a packet of purple Kool-Aid powder, Skye worked on unscrewing the shower head, which was fortunately very easy to do. In a matter of seconds, they had poured the contents of the packet into the shower head and screwed it back on, ready for whoever happened to come across it next.

If all went to plans, the powder would turn the water purple and douse the shower user with a sort of hand-made dye. Which was the reason they had decided against red.

Giggling manically, they went and hid behind a corner, with Skye holding their video camera at the ready for what they hoped would be something hilarious. Who would be their poor victim today?

Zac absent mindedly looked down at himself. Everything seemed to be in order, except for that purple water running down his leg... What the hell was that? Stepping back, Zac looked up at the shower head. Sure enough, it was spraying purple water down where he had been a second ago.

5 minutes earlier...
It had been raining, but that didn't dissuade either Zac or his PE Teacher, so still they went out. Of course, as boys, Sac and his friends didn't stay on his feet. Mud caked their legs, their arms and some even managed to get in Zac's ear. It was on these days that Zac really looked forward to a nice, hot shower.

Apparently no one else shared his views. Well, one of his friends did, but he was a Hydrokinetic, so he just washed all the mud off using a tap in the toilets. Zac was left alone, after his friends had gotten changed and gone to lunch, in the shower. He had just about finished when he noticed the purple.

"What the hell? Why is the water freaking purple?" He asked no one in particular. "If this is someone's idea of a joke, it's not funny." Sighing, Zac towelled off and got dressed quickly. He really needed to get some food in him, but he first he needed a piss

After the deed was done, Zac washed his hands then looked up in the mirror infront of him. He sort of did a double take. Standing in the mirror was a devilishly handsome boy, with long, elegant hair. Which was bright purple. Zac was a little angry.

Ooh, this guy was super cute! The two boys hid their giggles as they watched him turn on the water, carefully leveling the video camera so it didn't dip below waist-height (because they weren't that cruel... Usually).

Ah, success! The water was bright purple, and the boy's response to it was great. Forrest and Skye had a hard time keeping their laughter in as the dye soaked into his hair, which they hadn't realized would make it semi-permanent, at least for the time being.

When he was done (seriously, who was he? Skye and Forrest kept giving each other gleeful glances, 'cause he really was hot), they scrambled back into hiding until he had gone to the bathroom and was in front of the mirror, checking out his beeeautiful new hair.

"Purple is totally a good look for you!" Skye crooned, darting around the corner with camera in hand.

"I couldn't agree more," his darker-haired brother continued, poking his head around the corner. Both of them were grinning broadly. "You should thank us!"

Both of them were also ready to bolt if the guy started coming after them. They had a lot of practice running away.

Zac turned, startled by the two voices. He opened his mouth to ask why there were following him before he noticed the camera in the fairer haired boy's hand. Zac figured that whatever happened next would be posted on the Internet, or otherwise used to blackmail him, so he stayed calm and collected, not an easy task.

"... You spiked the showers, didn't you? I've gotta say, well done. I probably would never have thought of that. Unfortunately, I really don't want to go around school with this-" He pointed to his new head of hair. "-for god knows how long. How do I get it out?"
They'd better have an answer.

Forrest and Skye didn't blackmail people! They were perfect sweet angels that would never do such a thing!

.... Okay bahaha, that was a lie. But still, Zac hadn't done anything yet that would make them think he deserved to be blackmailed (they didn't even know him!), so he was safe... For now. They would probably just keep the film to giggle at and share with their friends.

Maybe.

"Yep, that was us!" Skye chirped, as though it wasn't obvious with them recording it and everything.

Forrest smiled smugly at the guy's compliment. Hey, this was cool, he seemed to be alright with it! "We're pretty ingenious when it comes to pranks," he bragged, puffing out his narrow chest a bit.

Though at the guy's question, they both looked at each other blankly.

"We, ahhh, didn't exactly realize it would dye your hair," Skye admitted, taking one tiny, nervous step backwards.

"But we think it looks great!" Forrest chimed in, grinning anxiously. "Purple is definitely your color."

Was he gonna lash out at them now? They weren't sure, but something told them he wasn't as calm as he looked.

Okay, it's okay, Zac could cope with this. Just don't do anything rash and you'll be fine, he told himself.

"Yeah, yeah. So, what I really wanted to know was how it comes out. The purple dye, that is. And you're telling me that you don't know, right? So I'm left with a ridiculous hairdo for the next god-knows-how long, because you don't even know if it'll come out. I'm starting to like your little trick a lot less. And, as a side note, I don't give a shit whether or not you think purple fucking suits me! Okay?" He clenched then uncleclenched his right fist, then took a deep breath and calmed down again.

"Look, just what exactly did you put in the water?"

Yep, he was mad. The twins both giggled and stepped back nervously, unsure of how to respond to what he said.

"Like we said, we didn't know it would stain... It was just supposed to be colored water, no harm done," Forrest told him, rubbing a hand through his own dark hair.

"Y-yeah, we didn't mean to cause any lasting damage," Skye added, finally clicking off the camera and tucking it away; no need to record themselves getting growled at!

At the guy's question, they looked at each other again. "It's just grape-flavored Kool-Aid," Forrest told him, turning his gaze back to Zac. "So I... I don't think it'll last long anyway."

"Nope, probably not," Skye chirped. They both really hoped they were right.
