The BasicsName: Faydra Rose Dupree
Nicknames: Fay, Princess
Age: 15
Orientation: Heterosexual
Desired Rank/Job: Student
Powers: Main ability: Non-fixed matter state
Faydra can turn herself into a liquid or gas matter state. As a gas, she appears as nothing more than a misty cloud, but in a liquid state she will take on the characteristics of a shiny, metallic puddle that can move along any smooth surface. People can walk through her in either form, but she tends to avoid that happening since the scrambling of her molecules is incredibly painful and it leaves her weakened when she shifts back to a normal, solid state. Small water droplets are visible where she has moved through an area (i.e. no footprints or fingerprints), but there is a perceivable, mist cloud while in her gas form and a liquid puddle while in the liquid state. If someone was to pass through her while in the gas state, they would feel a cooling sensation on whatever part of the skin it touched, as if they were suddenly sprayed with a fine mist spray bottle.
Eventually, with training and practice, she might be able to concentrate the ability to certain parts of her body, but currently that skill is not in her repertoire. Also, despite being able to change her state of matter, Faydra cannot impart this ability on someone else. Therefore, if she phases out while touching someone, they will not phase out with her. They will remain whole, taking up space, and staring at the empty void that Faydra's form previously inhabited.
Play By: Chloe Grace MoretzThe DetailsHair Color: Varies between blonde, dirty blonde, and brunette.
Eye Color: Cornflower Blue
Any Piercings? One piercing in both of her ears.
Any Tattoos? No
Any Scars? An inch long scar, on the underside of her right forearm, from falling out of a tree when she was younger.
General Appearance: Faydra is not necessarily pretty by society's standards, but she is striking and possesses unique features. Her chin is exaggerated making her face appear to come to a point, but in a delicate enough way to still appear attractive. Her eyes are set deep into her skull, but are very expressive and vibrant making the cornflower hue of the irises readily apparent. Her nose is petite and sits only a centimeter above a top lip that curves into an alluring cupid's bow that seems to convey a constant smirk or seductive expression.
Clothing is something that Faydra absolutely loves and she prides herself on following the trends in fashion. She is usually wearing top, name brand clothing, expensive shoes, a stylish purse or messenger bag, and exquisite jewelry. Her appearance is tantamount to Faydra and she does not leave her dorm room unless her hair is done, makeup is applied, and she is dressed to the nines. Her clothing consists of dresses, skirts, jeans, and shorts; it really depends on how she feels like dressing that day as well as the predicted weather.
Her hair is commonly worn down, but when she has an important meeting, a date, or just feels like doing something different, she will style it in a ponytail or a sophisticated updo. Makeup is always modest and enough to enhance without covering her natural beauty: petal-pink, lip gloss; coral hued blush; mascara; brown eyeliner; and light-brown eyeshadow.
Personality: Faydra was raised in the lap of luxury and was consistently paraded in front of business moguls, members of the senate, and other influential members of society. From a young age, Faydra was taught how to be adroit while in the presence of strangers. She acted the part of the listener, offered polite conversation, and said what everyone wanted to hear. First impressions were all her family cared about and if she managed to present herself in a negative way it might as well have been the end of the world to her parents. Therefore, adroitness was something she adopted and unconsciously used throughout her childhood into her teenage years.
Unfortunately, growing up in a privileged atmosphere instilled a sense of impulsivity in Faydra. Shopping normally amounted to thousands, if not tens of thousands, of dollars simply because she saw something she wanted; nothing was ever denied her. This impulsive trait has manifested into a rather dangerous morbid curiosity about life now that she is fifteen. If she sees an invitation to a party she's liable to go to it. If she is asked out in a date, chances are, she will accept. Life outside of her parents' bubble is completely new to her and she plans on exploring every facet of it.
Since she arrived to Hammel, Faydra has blossomed into a popular, sociable, flirtatious, young girl. Unfortunately, her 'friends' are mainly girls, and guys, who enjoy the perks of hanging out with her since she usually buys them things when they venture out. Faydra absolutely loves to be in social groups of any size, whether it's with her girlfriends chatting in the hallway or a party she has been invited to, she is in her ultimate glory when surrounded by people. Due to this, she doesn't avoid social situations, but rather welcomes them seeing them as another chance to meet someone new and possibly strike up a friendship or a love interest.Your VicesLikes: Clothing, purses, fashion, chocolate, butterflies, and being told that she looks good.
Dislikes: Being told no, anything pumpkin flavored, dogs, bees, being alone, and being rejected
Strengths:
Adroitness- Faydra can usually assuage any situation and act as the mediator to calm the tension between two people (or her and another person).
Curiosity- She is also curious and that has led to a plethora of real life experiences making her street smart and wise to the ways of society.
Zest- Faydra possesses a vigor and enthusiasm for life that makes her love every minute of every day, always wondering what's around the next corner.
Weaknesses:
Denial- Faydra hates being told that she cannot have something and has been known to launch into a full, childish tantrum until either she is abandoned or given what she wants.
Competition- Even though she was raised alongside other wealthy families, Faydra never really had to compete for attention or affections from anyone. At Hammel, however, that's different. Boys she likes are going after other girls and she is unsure of how to win the affections of the boys.
Confrontation- Faydra doesn't like being confronted and will try to avoid it at all costs. If she is confronted, she will cast her eyes down and emit a submissive demeanor, kowtowing to the person's demands or complaints.
Impulsiveness- Faydra can definitely be classified as a compulsive shopper. She is constantly buying things, just for the sake of buying them, but she is also impulsive in the ways of life; unpredictability is thrilling and exciting. She will comply with nearly any offer just to see what the outcome is.
Fears: Spiders, getting drank while in the liquid state, infidelity, being surrounded by pure darkness, and rats.
Secret: Faydra and one of the serving boys played 'doctor' one night at a charity gala.Family TiesFather: Max Dupree
Mother: Carole Dupree
Siblings: None
Any Other Important People: No.HistoryCarole and Max Dupree had never wanted a child. From the time she was born, all Faydra was to them was a status symbol; a precious commodity that they could parade in front of influential person after influential person. She was enrolled in the usual extracurricular activities of her station: violin lessons, horseback riding, piano lessons, ballet, and etiquette. Her parents were never home, since their jobs always requested their presences at conferences and business meetings. Faydra was raised by nannies; one would take the day shift and one would take the night shift. She spoke to her parents in spurts, but it was mostly cold and distant with a mandatory 'I love you' at the end that none of the parties actually meant.
Faydra adapted to the life, as did all the children her age, but one night, at one of the countless charity balls she was mandated to attend, she felt like screaming. The monotony and predictability of the lifestyle had finally gotten to her and she wished that she could just disappear... Melt into oblivion and never be seen again. Fourteen at the time, Faydra was just entering puberty and, little did she know, her abilities were beginning to manifest. That wish to disappear became reality and the girls in front of her stared in shock at the now empty seat where their friend had been sitting just a few seconds prior. The girls were unaware that Faydra was now nothing more than a shiny puddle on the smooth, marble floor of the ballroom. Faydra wasn't entirely sure how she had done it, but she took advantage of the situation and slid along the floor towards the ballroom exit. Once there, she glided through the crack beneath the door and changed states again. Now, she felt lighter, and could move with much more ease, successfully finding a dark corridor to hide in for the duration of the gala. After about a half hour she began phasing back and was completely whole by the time the gala ended. Confused, and severely weakened from the forced shift, she emerged from the corridor and went outside where her limo was already waiting with her driver holding the door open. Not saying a word, she climbed in and rode back home barely getting any sleep that night since her mind was recalling what had actually happened and trying to make sense of it.
It wasn't long after that when the recruiter from Hammel Institute came to her house. Faydra's parents were told about it, through telecommunication. They were delighted and caught the first flight home so they could make it home that night to say their goodbyes. The recruiter didn't reveal what Hammel actually was, not to her parents anyway, so the two adults were convinced that Hammel was an elite private school. Her parents didn't protest at all, even though they didn't have a choice in the matter. Not only would they have the responsibility of a child taken off their hands, but they also were able to boast about their child being accepted to a special school. Two days later, Faydra was packed and traveling to the institute in Pilot Ridge, Vermont.
Adjusting to life at the institute has been difficult for Faydra and continues to be since she has only been a student there for a couple weeks. Making friends is something she has always been skilled at, but they were always girls who were raised in the same style as her. Being surrounded by so many different lifestyles, upbringings, and histories is completely new to her and is both exciting and terrifying at the same time. The uncertainty about how to forge friendships with the attending students has led to bribery in exchange for company. Hopefully, with time, she will manage to build long lasting friendships.Roleplay ExampleNameless had reacted with curiosity and wasn't thinking about the repercussions of his actions until the demon made his threat. "Yes...Of course...Sorry." Soon Artair was bringing her finger up to his lips and licked the wound with his tongue. The way his eyes widened, and the recoil, confused her. Did her blood hurt him? Just that little bit seemed to wreak havoc on the demon's system making her aware of another ability. Her blood was harmful... At least she didn't have to worry about being eaten by some creature. She looked to Artair with concern now. It had not been her intention to hurt him and the apology in her expression was testament to how badly she felt for the result. His hand settled on her hip again and he broke into conversation with the mage once more, ears perking when she heard her name. She didn't look up, though, since he hadn't said it in the way he normally did and he wasn't addressing her. He was talking -about- her and she listened to the words idly looking between the two men.
The mage nodded. "It's good that you did. You...took on quite a challenge when you chose to bring her along, though." The mage touched Nameless again, tugging her away from Artair. Not knowing why, she became angry and pulled against the tug, glaring at the man. She didn't like being taken away from Artair and, seeing that anger, the mage had his assumptions confirmed. "I thought so... She's imprinted. You are now the person she trusts and never wants to be separated from. You're like... a pseudo-mother to her. If you try and release her she might not survive. The separation would be traumatic for her."What About You?Name: Ali
