Many, many scars from multiple things. There is a large scar across his ribcage on his left side.
General Appearance: Tristan is a perfectionist when it comes to not only his personality, but also his appearance. Everything has to be perfect. In short that means, he's a clean-cut, well-groomed and stylish guy. He takes pride in his sense of fashion and scoffs at those who think something as simple as clothing choice doesn't matter. Everything matters in a world of consumers. He's got short-cropped dirty blonde hair. He refuses to let it grow out because he feels that it makes him appear as a biker or someone whose intelligence should be questioned. The same goes for facial hair, scruff does not appear on his chin or cheeks, he has never grown a mustache or beard and he never intends to.
Oh, but Trist isn't as perfect as one may think. When he was sixteen, he went through that typical teenage angst phase and had a few things done that he either can't get rid of, or enjoys and just doesn't allow them to show. The one thing he can't get rid of is large scar across the left side of his ribcage and also a smaller scar above his left eye. Car accident, not his brightest moment. Sure, he only got it because he thought he was a badass when he was younger, but in a way it's sort of fitting. And the one thing that he got done that he actually likes, but refuses to show anyone that isn't given permission is the nipple piercings he has. Now, he doesn't go through with the extensive, tacky bull that some people wore. He stuck with small hoops or studs because they didn't show as much through clothing.
Tristan is the type of person who walks with a cocky stride, his head held high above everyone just the way he liked it. Very rarely does he slouch, though his expression is often full of boredom.
Personality:In short, Tristan is a perfectionist on many levels. He was also diagnosed with OCD early on in life, and it was all based on his own hygiene. The older he got the more it developed and his hygienic obsession about his appearance peaked around the age of sixteen. But he was still a teenager and he still did stupid things. His perfectionist attitude and obsessive tendencies can be intimidating to some, depending on when they catch him. If he's organizing or re-organizing a folder of work or his notes or maybe when he's cleaning his desk, bedroom or car, he's typically doing it to de-stress himself after a long day. He doesn't write about his feelings or do some other fancy piece of artwork to calm himself down and to relax. Nope, he cleans and organizes things. When he's brushing his teeth or going through his morning routine, that is a time that should not be interrupted. He gets pretty salty if he has to re-do everything, hygienic or orderly, but typically it's the hygienic side that makes him the most on edge. There are no exceptions, he will snap at anyone who interrupts him.
He's extremely possessive and protective over certain people in his life. His siblings often fall under this category and though sometimes he acts as though he could care less, he's always very protective over them. If someone looks or speaks to them in a way that he doesn't like, he politely tells them that if they ever do it again, he'll make sure that they never speak or look at his siblings again. He often tries to stay as calm as possible, but with him, you know when he's angry. That being said, it's hard to know what will make him angry and when he'll snap because he is so back and forth with his moods. Talk about bipolar with this one.
Tristan doesn't often express deep emotions. Happy, sad, angry, annoyed; those are all easy for him to convey. Anything deeper than this and he closes off himself and sticks with angry, insanely angry. He doesn't like people confronting him about his emotions and it often just sends him into a fit-throwing child. He does know what it's like to care for people, but his sense of comforting is rather slim. He's more overbearing than anything.Your VicesLikes:

Secret: Being the oldest, you'd think that Tristan would be the caretaker sibling, right? Well he finds it difficult because he can't seem to find it in himself to nurture anyone. He's very calculated and reserved, but he wishes that he wasn't so cold with his siblings, especially Olivia.Family TiesFather: John Baker

Any Other Important People: He supposes his grandmother is an important person, though he's not very close with her. Not that he's exceptionally close with anyone.HistoryNew York City, a lovely place to be brought up. In the hustle and bustle of so much going on. Tristan was born April 23, 1987 to a lovely set of parents John and Sophia Baker. They were two of the most successful people he could ever hope to be born to, his father head of the Anthropology Department at NYU and his mother a very successful biology professor. Both of them had it set that their son would become a successful man as long as they were able to help it.
When Tristan was seven years old, his first brother was brought into this world and so it would begin, the trying life of being an older sibling. Trist wasn't expected to do anything at such a young age for his brother (soon to be brothers in just a few months). He was too reckless himself to care for anyone, but he wasn't the biggest fan of sharing the spotlight with his now two younger brothers Dean and Mark. It was more of a fight than anything, which only got worse and worse as he got older, though he rarely showed them any harsh feelings. They were his brothers and he loved them, he just didn't like having to share after seven years of being the only one.
And then there was the girl. Little baby Olivia. As soon as she came into the world, Tristan found himself on the outs. His parents were so focused on the younger ones that they rarely paid him any mind. Granted it was because they trusted him to be a smart, polite young man as he grew up, but he still wasn't pleased. So he forced himself into his studies as school started and when his youngest brother came into the picture. His siblings fueled him to succeed in a way that his parents had hoped for, had strived for. One would think it was in a positive way, but Tristan was greedy and he wanted to snatch back his parents' attention.
But Olivia just couldn't let that happen. He was eighteen, off to NYU, ready to take the world on and make a real difference. Make a man of himself. And then she manifested and it was once more all about her.
Maybe that was why he had such disdained feelings towards her. He was happy to ship her off to Vermont. It was farther away from him and his family. Once she was away, off to control those freaky abilities of hers, Tristan excelled the way that he had been set out to do. Graduating NYU, all four years of his term on the Dean's list, he was accomplished. He was smart beyond what anyone would typically think of him with his bad attitude. He was successful.
And he is finding himself traveling to Vermont. Pilot Ridge, home of the meta-humans to set out on doing his two-year research on the interesting beings, such as his sister. With a masters in Anthropology, he is on his way to getting a PhD in it to finish what his parents planned for him. Tristan is has become fascinated by his sister's ability and he has every intention to study people up close and personal in Vermont. Maybe, just maybe he can manage to reconcile the relationship he has with his sister. After all, he does love her...in his own way.Roleplay Example*points to my lovely other characters*What About You?Name: Triiiix
