Sam had put his name (and the name of his second most mortal enemy) into the date pool simply for something to do. While he technically had a girlfriend, he didn’t see her much, and who said that the dates had to be romantic? All it meant to him was that he would get to hang out with a pretty girl for the night, and rock his awesome costume. And yes, he had the Jolly Roger flag tied around his neck like a cape.
... What pirate didn’t want a flag cape? Lame ones, of course.
He didn’t know his date, but he was banking on the fact that she knew him. He was one of the oldest students still at the school, and was somewhat infamous for some of the students he’d pulled. Most of them had been with Vincent Verax’s help, but he liked to think he was the mastermind behind the majority of their mischief.
He was currently riding a decent sugar buzz, and as such was racing around the gym with his plastic sword, yelling pirate-y things at his fellow students. Swab the decks, walk the plank, and whatever else came to mind. When his imagination failed, he would simply yell out ‘I’VE GOT A JAR OF DIRT’ before racing away again.
This was exactly how his date was going to find him. Riding a sugar high, and being a pest.
