((Trigger warning: May or may not turn violent))
Ah, this was what Jack really needed. The last few weeks have been somewhat stressful for Jack, especially considered the whole “Layla getting married” situation, and getting his heart ripped out of his chest (Even though Jack would never freely admit to that last little fact) which wasn’t what you would call an enjoyable experience, but Jack was slowly getting over it (Or so Jack tried to keep telling himself) and this night seemed to be the first night Jack had regained a sense of normality in his life.
He had just departed his “Office” by the lake having unwounded by utilizing his bag of weed, booze and porn and now fully loosened up he had begun to make his way back to the building under the cover of darkness having taken a shortcut through the woods, Lightly humming to himself as he went enjoying the view of the stars twinkling in the night sky.
However, the smile slightly dies on his face and stopped walking, casting a glance behind him, a frown emerging on his face. He could have swore that he heard the sounds of rustling, faintly behind him. He stopped a little and squirted his eyes before shrugging his shoulders, it was probably just the wind. Jack thought dismissively, before turning back around continuing on his merry way, resuming humming happily, he should be getting near the-What was that?!
As if an electric shock went up and down his spin, Jack quite literally jumped a foot in the air. That time Jack absolutely heard something , that sounded like a twig snapping uncomfortable close behind him. Once, it’s just an coincidence. Twice? That’s cause for concern. “Hello?” Jack called out his eyes scanning all around him for any sign of someone. “Anyone there?” No answer. “Probably just a mouse…” Jack said shakily as he turned back around and started walking again, maybe lacking the jaunty tune, and the spring in his step he once had, and maybe walking a little faster.
But he came to a full stop when he heard quite loud footsteps behind him when he reached a clearing Jack stopped and frantically turned 360 degrees trying to pin point the sound of the disturbance. “Ok, who’s ever fucking with me, you better stop!” Jack said unable to keep the fear out of his voice, as he felt increasingly like a animal being stalked by an lion on the Africa plains “Don’t fuck with me dude! I have a black belt in kung fu! I’ll rip out your brain through you dick!”
