Pranking the Innocent (Open)

This wasn't a bad idea at all! Nahhh. The twins giggled manically as they hid around the corner in the hallway of the co-ed dorms, camera prepped and ready to stealthily record what was sure to be hilarious.

They had set up a wall on invisible clean-wrap in the middle of the hall, for the next unsuspecting person to run smack into and look ridiculous. The two boys didn't really care who it happened to be, only if they would get a funny reaction out of it. And preferably someone who wouldn't try to kick their butts afterwards.

"This's gonna be great," Forrest whispered to his blonde twin, barely able to contain his snickers as they peeked around the corner and quickly hide again before anyone could see them.

"I know. They're never gonna see it coming." Skye held the camera in his hands and sunk down to the floor, twisting the lens up to capture their victim's reaction. "Get ready to run, though!"

Forrest just nodded, giggling once more.

Penelope was having a nice day. She had yet to encounter any unwanted memories, which made her head feel surprisingly clear, and she had the rest of the day off to do as she pleased. For Penelope, this meant putting on Joss Whedon’s version of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing, making a cuppa, and finishing knitting a scarf she had been working on. Was she a forty-eight-year-old woman trapped inside the body of a seventeen-year-old? Quite possibly.

Unfortunately, her nice day was about to turn not-so-nice within about thirty-two seconds. Penelope walked down the hallway in silence as she headed towards her dorm. She was actually on the wrong floor, but had taken this route because a group of girls were taking up the half the hallway working on a some project (which Penelope was confused as to why they had to do it there instead of in their dorms or possibly someplace people don’t walk as much). So now she had to go around and up the stairs on the other side to reach her own dorm. She had rarely even been on this floor before, choosing a same-sex dorm because she could just imagine all the troublesome things teenage boys and girls would do together on one floor. Ew.

Penelope shook her head, getting the gross heterosexual thoughts out of her mind. There were much more important things to think about, such as which type of tea sh—

Penelope walked straight into what seemed to be an invisible wall. Her hands flew up instinctively and she realized that she got shrink-wrapped. She backed up, confused, but then found she was actually caught up in the damn thing. Struggling only seemed to make it worse and soon she found herself completely tangled.

Seeing the approaching victim, some girl they didn't know, the two boys darted behind the corner, leaving only the circle of their lens visible to capture what was about to happen. They couldn't see what was happening themselves, but they could hear it, and both of them were smothering giggles as Skye risked a peek at the display screen.

He nearly lost it. The girl was stuck in the shrink wrap!

Forrest, unfortunately, picked up what was happening through his brother, and, having less self-control, broke into a moment of loud giggles before clamping his hand over his mouth and giving his blonde twin a horrified look.

So much for trying to be invisible. Well, they would run with it!

Skye popped to his feet and poked his head out from behind the corner, where it would be clearly visible to the flailing girl. "Are you a little stuck, sweet-pea?" he called out, trying to ignore the fact that she was very pretty. The twins weren't sexist on who they pranked.

"We can help you out, you know!" Forrest poked his head out underneath Skye's, both of them grinning now. "Just gotta smile reeeeally big for the camera for us."

Skye motioned to the device in his hands, which was still very much running.

Penelope snapped her head around to look at the pranksters. Or, at least, she attempted to snap her head around, but she nearly made herself immobile due to the shrink-wrap. The giggles enough gave away who they were. The twins had a reputation, so to say, and Penelope had heard of them and seen them around the school.

Sweet-pea? Penelope felt herself scowl as she finally managed to face the pair, eyes connecting with the camera. And they were video taping it. Great. Just great. Instead of smiling, she glared at the device.

“I do not need help.” She stated sternly, twisting around, which only caused her skirt to start to rise up to her thighs. Instantly, she felt her face flush and she paused in her actions.

She closed her eyes for a moment, clenching her jaw before looking over at the pair. “Please.” She asked, or really demanded, quietly but firmly. She hated being hopeless, and even more, if she was, she hated asking for help.

The twins were aware of their reputation, and proud of it. They'd worked hard to be known as some of the top pranksters at school, it wasn't an easy job! They thought they were awfully good at it, though. Put that together with them being tech nerds, and they could make stuff like this go viral in no time if they wanted.

"Come on now, that's not the sort of face to make, not with a pretty girl like you!" Skye complained, seeing the scowl on her face. Of course, they didn't actually expect her to smile (duh), but they had to tease, and both of them were still giggling uncontrollably. Forrest was having a hard time not falling over from laughter.

"Don't need help?" he repeated, and both of them pouted. However, their looks quickly turned wide-eyed and oogly at the sight of Penny's skirt lifting up. They were teenage boys, after all - seeing a little skin like that made even their hearts do a little doki-doki. And she really was super pretty! Of course they didn't know she wasn't into guys, they just assumed she was for their own sake.

When she finally asked for help, they flipped off the video camera and darted over, producing a pair of dull-pointed scissors from seemingly thin air and began cutting her out of the stuff. No way were they going to tease her more, now that she'd said please and had given them a nice peek of leg. "What's your name, pretty girl?" Skye chirped, quickly freeing Penny from the trap. "I'm Skye-"

"And I'm Forrest!" the darker-haired twin finished, both of them smiling broadly as they stood and let the girl get the stuff off of her.

Penelope had picked up the sudden change in the twins attitudes, and it only caused her cheeks to flush even a deeper pink. Nonetheless, she let the boys help her, and the instant she was free, she instantly pushed her skirt downward, flattening it from any wrinkles and insuring that it wasn’t going to hike up again.

“Thank you.” Her tone wasn’t in any way grateful. She managed to get the rest of the shrink-wrap off of her with little to no problem now that she wasn’t completely trapped in it. Once she finished, she brushed herself off, insuring there was no excess left on her, and then finally shifted her attention towards the boys.

She watched the pair with scrutiny as they introduced themselves to her with enthusiasm. Although she had heard of them, she had never actually met them. From first impression, however, they lived up to their expectations.

“Penelope.” Penelope straightened her back, “Pleasure.” She considered scolding them on the dangers of doing such pranks, but decided to hold her tongue for the moment. “Now, I must be on my way.” She barely finished her sentence before she started to walk.

The twins didn't purposefully oogle at Penny as she straightened out her skirt... Or at least, they tried not to, but the poor boys were so giddy about getting a gorgeous girl in their trap that they weren't even really aware of where they were staring. Maybe... Maybe they could get a kiss out of this! Somehow. Yeah. Because all girls totally wanted to kiss the two pranksters right after being made a fool out of and having it all on tape.

Of course, there was always the option of blackmailing, but the twins were definitely not that mean. And besides, they would definitely be posting this anyway, though they'd definitely cut out the skirt-rising bit for Penelope's sake. And keep it to themselves.

"You're welcome!" they chirped together, ignoring the sarcasm in her voice. Forrest's arms half-raised as he started to edge closer to help the girl get the stuff off, but she seemed to be doing okay. Skye just continued to watch with a wide, amused smile, until it was all off and Penelope was looking at them.

They gave their best innocent looks, though it was hard to do when they kept letting out little giggles at the recent events. While she had heard of them, they weren't actually sure who she was, so they jumped as she offered her name.

"Nice to meetcha, Penelope!" Skye chirped. "Can I call you Penny?"

"Or Nellie! Forrest giggled. They were both trying to come up with more creative nicknames when the girl made her goodbye and turned away. They gasped, and then scrambled after her.

"Hey, wait pretty girl, we hardly even got to know you!" Skye protested, trying to put an arm around her shoulders (he really should have known better by now, how many times had he been slapped?).

Forrest tagged just a little ways behind on her other side, staying close but not making such bold contact. "Yeah, we can hang out, or prank other people!" he offered, smiling like it was the most generous offer in the world.

Penelope was growing impatient with these boys. “No, and no.” Penelope said crossly, “It’s Penelope. That’s all.” Although she was fairly certain that by this point more people called her by Penny then they did Penelope, but she’d still fight it if she could.

She was surprised when she heard the twins call out after her, and she certainly hadn’t expected an arm to be thrown around her shoulder. Mechanically, Penelope slid out from under it, taking a few steps away from the blonde. “I just told you my name, and it’s not ‘pretty girl’.” Penny scolded, folding her arms over her chest. At least they managed to make her stop, but possibly for all the wrong reasons.

“I have no interest in pulling foolish pranks, or any other reckless activities.” Penelope let out a sigh, “Do you have any idea what kind of problems your pranks create for people?” Oh dear, there was a Blaise rant coming on. “You could get someone seriously hurt, or worse - make them late for a class or test.” Yes, she said that.

"Peneeeeelope," Skye repeated, letting the name drawl out on his tongue. "Okay, sure. That's a pretty name!" They both smiled brightly; if she insisted on being called by her full name, they would oblige. They were silly, but they weren't particularly mean-hearted.

"Yeah, super pretty like you," Forrest added dorkily, still grinning like an idiot. Flirting, they were experts.

Skye just stood there with his arm still out in the open air as Penny slid out from under him, both of the boys unabashed in the least. "But you are!" the blonde chirped. Didn't girls like being flattered? This was confusing!

Then she was... Was this a lecture? They stared at her blankly, mouths slightly parted, until she was done, and then looked at each other. Oh. Oh. She was one of those kinds of people. "We've never hurt anyone!" Forrest protested, taking a slow couple steps back.

"Yeah, and who cares about classes and tests?" Skye giggled. They realized now that they were totally out of their league at the moment, and needed to make a hasty retreat lest she start patronizing them more. "Uh, we're just gonna... Go clean up now."

"Yep yep!" Forrest chimed in. "Um... Bye!" With that, they both bolted back down the hall and around the corner, breaking into giggles. This video was still definitely going online.
