It had been a little awkward between Ashe and Nate after their last... Bump in. She understood why, because duh, they had known each other their entire lives, but that didn't mean it had to put a strain on their friendship. Well, if it had, Ashe was going to fix that, and Nate had absolutely no say in it.

Which was why she picked up her phone and dialed Nathan's number, waiting patiently for him to pick up. And by having no say in it, she'd call all day if she had to. Over and over again until he decided to pick up.

Though, she was happy to find out that one call was all it took for her blue eyes friend to pick up his phone. ''Oh hai there, blue eyes.'', she greeted him with a chuckle. ''I was scared you were ignoring me because of that hot sex scene of ours.'' Yep, totally not making it worse. Aaat all.

But hey, at least she was comfortable enough to make jokes about it. Maybe he'd feel it the same way?

Things? Awkward? What? NO. Okay, maybe he was avoiding talking to her a little bit, but that was only because he didn't want her to think he was some kind of pussy that was afraid of sex with his best friend. He wasn't. He was just a little weirded out by it all because he had never thought of her that way.

And it didn't help that he was kind of crushing on someone else. He didn't want to keep screwing around with Ashe because a lot of girls weren't really interested in dating a slut. And Nate was kind of a huge slut sometimes. Lux didn't necessarily deserve that kind of thing, in fact, she deserved a lot better than him. But he really liked her and he didn't want to screw things up with her like he had with Willow.

Nathan's mind was drifting to the socially awkward girl he called, Buttercup and found himself frowning. This whole date night thing was going to bite him in the ass unless he came up with something awesome for them to do. Or maybe just something fun that she'd actually enjoy simple as it was. He wasn't good at the whole...romance thing. The idea of it was confusing to him and he was shocked that Nick had even managed to learn things for Kadi.

He was snapped out of his own thoughts when his phone started playing Sex on Fire by Kings of Leon. He snatched it from the table and didn't even look to see who it was before he answered. It didn't take him more than a second to realize just who it was when she answered.

"Hey, babe. Never could ignore you, I've just had a lot going on lately. I miss you though, what's up, Red?" He asked with a smile as he folded his arm behind his head. There was no reason for him to feel awkward now, they were still best friends.

''Whoah, whoah, whoah! Chill out Blue Eyes, if I knew you were that good with your mouth, I'd give your number to all my gay friends.'', she said with a laugh and shook her head. Well, at least he was acting normal. As normal as he could get anyways. ''Oh, nothing much. Figured you had ignored me for too long, so thought I'd call you up.''

Ashe was glad they could go back to being friends after everything. She didn't have feelings for him, at least not like that and it didn't seem like he did either, which was a good thing. They surely didn't need to add all that into the mix.

And hey, if he ever needed dating tips or had any questions about girls, he knew she would always try her best to help her. Well, she was going to make sure he knew anyways. Ashe was the perfect person to give out ideas for romantic dates and fun get-togethers. Not like she had anything better to do anyways.

''What's up with you?'', she said as she rolled over in her bed and planted her feet on the ground. Charlie was sleeping right next to her and she gave her old dog a nice pat on the head. ''What's keeping you too busy to spend time with your awesome friend?''

"You're just mad it took you this long to figure it out," He laughed and rubbed the back of his neck before propping himself up on his elbow. "I wasn't ignoring you! I promise, you know I never could because I'd miss you too much. Stop tryin' to make me feel bad for being busy, Ashe!" He shook his head and rolled his eyes.

Beautiful as she was, Nathan couldn't think of her as anything more than his best friend. He loved her, a lot, just not the way that was needed for those kinds of feelings. Now, he couldn't say she was like a sister to him though, not after having had sex with her, but she was his girl. His main girl that he'd always go to if he ever needed help and Nick's expertise didn't do much for him.

"School, just trying to keep my grades up because they've been slipping and my English teacher isn't too thrilled with me," Nate stated simply, though there was definitely more to it than that. Nathan wasn't sure how to tell her that he was at it again, falling for girls that were way too good for him. She didn't even know about Willow.

Gawd what was it with him and picking the innocent, socially awkward girls?
