Charlie is currently studying Business Administration at the University of Vermont, while working part time at La Maison Magnifique (aka the House) as a bartender. He is quiet and introverted, preferring the company of himself to anyone else. That doesn't mean he can't interact socially with anyone, just don't be surprised if he doesn't approach you for a conversation.

RELATIONSHIPS

Jade Parrish, friend - Charlie and Jade met in 12th grade and though Jade was two years younger than Charlie, they soon became good friends. They would meet in Starbucks every week after school to do homework together.

More are definitely needed, whether they be friends, dates, teachers or anything in between.

Katy has Bipolar Disorder. That means she lapses between mania and depression, highs and lows. There are almost two different people when Katy is up (Hypo Katy) and when she's down (Mellow Katy). Hypo Katy is bubbly, excitable and lively. She tends to be extremely melodramatic and over the top about things. She grabs every opportunity she has with both hands, believing she only has half a life to lead. She also has an increased sex drive and is more inclined to do more adventurous things when she's Hypomanic.

Mellow Katy is miserable. If she's not on medication, she spends all her time at home, not venturing out to eat or go to school. When she is on medication, she feels like 'her brain has been soaked in menthol'. She only feels emotions very weakly, so tends to be pretty miserable, but atleast she manages to go to school. Another feature of Melancholy Depression is the fact that Katy doesn't like anything. The things she usually loves to do, like acting or flying, fill her with dread when she's down.

RELATIONSHIPS

Claudia Bishop, older sister, best friend - Katy is best friends with Claudia. She really looks up to her and used to follow her around a lot when she was younger.

John & Jack Bishop, younger brothers - Ever since they were babies, Katy's really liked the twins. She can even tell the two apart! Most of the time...

Gordon Bishop, older brother - When Katy feels depressed, Gordon is always there for her. Even though he's really bad at listening. And fidgety. And could talk all the legs off of a millipede. And even if he doesn't really want to be there for her. Also, Gordon has always had the ability to make Katy feel laugh.

Gaige Bishop, older brother - They share a lot, like music, their sexuality and almost a birthday. Gaige was the one Katy first came out to, when she was 16.

Devlin Bishop, older brother - For many of the same reasons as Gordon, except the age gap is a lot more than Gordon and Devlin can't make Katy laugh like Gordon.

Savvy Bishop, younger sister - Katy has always found Savvy annoying. This is partially because she's quite girly and Katy is more of a tomboy.

Lany Bishop, younger sister - Lany has always been quite cute in Katy's eyes. Sure, she's really quiet and shy, but she's a baby sister. She also feels kind of bad that she spent so much time with the twins and not Lany.

Zach Bishop, older brother - Zach is the older brother Katy least looks up to, but sometimes she can empathise with him. He's kind of moody and boring, which is the complete opposite of Katy when she's happy and the same as Katy when she's depressed.

Rory Bishop, older sister - Rory has always been like a second mum to Katy. They don't really get along as such, but Katy probably loves her more than the others. She loves Rory as a mother-figure rather than as a friend.

Kailin Bishop, younger sister - Katy is pretty neutral towards Kailin, or at least she tries to be. She doesn't really spend much time with her, but has no reason to dislike her. Katy sometimes feels bad that she didn't bond with Kailin.

I have four characters who could conceivably thread with Charlie. Here they are in order:

Tanner: he works at the House (as a performer) and frequents the bar when he's not performing. The bartenders usually give him a drink even though he isn't 21 (he's kind of Cynthia's golden boy) so it would be funny if Charlie didn't know this and tried to card him (he's 20) and it just went from there. They can become friends. Tanner's a 'reformed introvert' (not that being an introvert is bad, but you know what I mean haha) so he'd get Charlie, I think.

Melody: she also works at the House, as the choreographer. She definitely frequents the bar as well and is very outgoing so would likely drag the bartender into a conversation with her. She'd introduce herself, ask about his life, tell him about hers, etc. She's likely a bit too old for him romantically (she's 30, so unless he's into cougars...).

Roger: You know him well. He's basically my hormonal little gay boy, so he'd hit on Charlie at some point. I can only imagine how Charlie would react... He also works at the House (he does costumes), so they could run into one another that way.

Cynthia: She owns the House. She's a middle-aged woman, so they really wouldn't be anything beyond boss/employee, but I figured I'd throw her into the mix just in case you could think of anything.

Tanner/Charlie - I think these two would get on well and they have a pretty good way of meeting. We could thread either their meeting or we could do a time warp to a year or two later, when they are already friends. I don't really mind either way.
