Powers: Danger Intuition/Danger Sensing -- The user is able to sense nearing dangers and threats to themselves and others. Intuition works at a high level on loved ones of the user including family and friends and on a lower level for strangers, people they don't know too well. When it comes to sensing danger involving themselves, the intensity of the intuition is at an all time high. The power works differently for all users, but for Cale, he senses danger through a 'ticking' sound in his mind. It loudens/softens according to how far away the danger/threat is physically or how far away it is from happening in time. This noise tends to drown everything else out and actually makes him more susceptible to the danger because he's so overwhelmed. In order to sense danger for strangers, he has to be nearby, but for loved ones or himself, there can be a few miles of distance.
Limitations include: Not being able to truly stop the danger, although they do get a head start on trying to get away from it or getting others away from it, doesn't work well on strangers.

General Appearance: Cale is on the taller side and has a bit of a bulky frame that makes him look intimidating, but he's pretty sure it's just that, that it makes him LOOK intimidating. He's 6 feet tall even and has sharply defined features. His hair is dark and he doesn't let it get too long as he used to when he was in high school. Now he keeps it trimmed and tries to be okay with the fact that he has an all too obvious widow's peak. 
His skin is slightly tanned and his eyes are a muddy brown to match that of his hair. Nothing extraordinary in his opinion.
Personality: Cale has always sort of been the guy that blended into the background. He never wanted to cause a scene or stir up trouble, he preferred to be a faceless person in the crowd. It was easier that way. He took the death of both of his parents hard and mostly kept to himself about it, he's always been someone that has kept things inside--making him come off as angsty and moody. He's always clung onto people who were more free-spirited and relaxed than him, surrounding himself with people who he could live through because he's always been so cautious about taking control and living his life to the fullest. 
Becoming a meta-human has changed him a lot, as he constantly feels as if he SHOULD do something. He has the power to know when something bad is going to happen and he could try to stop it, but he finds that it's difficult and emotionally scarring. He wants to help others, he's always been a kind and gentle person, but he's afraid of getting involved with people because he doesn't want to know when they'll be in danger. There's some bliss in not knowing.
He's always been an old soul, enjoying reading the classics, drinking his coffee black and listening to indie/folk music not many have heard of. Although he's cautious and seemingly avoidant of people, he is very intelligent and holds a lot of wisdom. He probably gets this from his grandfather who he's considered a role model for his entire life. His quest for knowledge can often get him in situations he doesn't want to be in, because his want to obtain knowledge is often his weakness. He's also a little too concerned with doing what is right and it tends to make him a little neurotic. This quality often bothers others around him as he comes off as uptight and too worried to even take risks. 
While he is overly cautious, his power often makes him act irrationally and on impulse which is something he hates. He feels like he needs to be in control of his life and his choices, and his power makes him feel like he's lost all control when all he can hear is the ticking inside of his head. 
He's very good at giving advice to others, hence why he's a trainer now at Hammel Institute, but he struggles taking his own advice.

History

Cale grew up in Illinois, right outside of Chicago in a suburb that he loved to call home. He had a very close relationship with his grandfather Henry who was always around when he was younger and when Cale's parents passed away when Cale was twelve, his grandfather took him in. Cale became accustomed to the small house with the tons of bookshelves and old knick knacks and he views his grandfather as the best friend he's ever had. At the ripe age of fourteen, he began hearing a ticking in his head and wasn't sure what it was or if he was just hearing things until one night when he was trying to sleep, the ticking got increasingly louder in his head until he heard a gunshot outside. There had been a shooting in front of his house and when it happened, it had been incredibly painful for him as the moment was very surreal and confusing and came with a vicious migraine directly after. He learned in the newspaper that it was a drug deal gone wrong that his power had anticipated for that stranger. It wasn't long after that he was picked up by recruiters and being dragged away from his grandfather. 
He misses his grandfather dearly and wants him to come to Pilot Ridge, where he surprisingly decided to stay after graduating from Hammel and attending college studying history. Now he works as a trainer at Hammel.
