PLAYER WANTS
What is your plotting philosophy?
I am generally very open to plotting in all its various forms. I deeply love throwing characters into the deep end and seeing how they resurface, and to me not knowing exactly what is going to happen is part of the thrill of writing with another person. However, if the other player wants to plot a bit in advance then I am usually open to that. What I wont do is plan out the future in great deal. Just like in real life, sometimes plans change and I don't like anything to feel set in stone.
What types of plots are you interested in playing?
I am open to pretty much any type of plot that makes sense to the character. Cecil is never going to date a woman, Seb is never going to have a one-night-stand and Kieron is never going to be a bully. Beyond things like these I am open to most anything. If it is reasonable and makes sense I will be open to it, with the exceptions noted below.
What types of plots are you not interested in playing?
I am open to most types of plot but I will be very picky if it ever comes to potentially life-altering plots. Themes such as abuse (physical or psychological), rape and other strongly negative situations must be talked out beforehand so I know just how far they will go. My strongest peeve in RP's is dramatic life-altering themes being played out as drama-of-the-week, and I will only agree to them if I think they will be handled with the sensitivity they deserve.
One notable thing – pregnancy. Unless I put the idea forward, it's safest to assume the answer will be a no.
How often can you reply to any given thread?
This varies. I try to reply to all threads within a few days but during busy periods at work it can be a week or so before I can get to them. If it has been a while or if you think I might have forgotten please give me a poke to remind me.
What is the longest you're willing to wait for a reply to a thread?
As a general rule I will happily wait for a month or so before I might suggest shelving the thread. This does vary however; if it is a dramatic plot that has long-term implications I might ask for at least a rough idea of what happens sooner just so the characters are not 'plot blocked'. If it is a slow, sedate thread with not much really happening, I really don't mind how long I wait at all.
Are you open to RPing over instant messengers? If so, what's the best way to contact you and what times are you generally available?
To an extent yes. If I am deeply buried in my post hole I will request leaving it for another time, but if it is quiet then I would be open to doing so to kill time. However; I always count these as non-canon unless mutually agreed otherwise. There's no point being on an RP board if you are not going to post your stories on it. PMing me is always best, and I'm usually around in the evenings UK-time.
Are you open to post volleying?
Again, it depends. If I am not buried in posts and I have plenty of muse then yes, I would be up for a volley session. Other posts that have been waiting longer will always take priority though.

PLAYER LIMITS
What are you limits regarding powerplay/godmoding?
Within small limits that make sense to the character and scene, I am open to minor things being assumed. Devon will always hug people he considers friends, for example. As a general rule, though, it is always best to avoid anything more than the absolute bare minimum. Certain people will eventually be allowed to carry out basic actions from some of my characters, but only if I have okayed it first. Once bitten twice shy, and all that.
What are your limits in regards to romantic situations?
I am very open to romantic situations as long as they make sense for the characters involved. Age differences of any range are fine as long as they don't cross the child-adult line, one-sided relationships are fine as are rejection and such. I prefer all things to happen naturally and organically as I'm not a huge fan of pre-plotting too much.
What are your limits in regards to sex (within the TOS)?
I am fine with either implying or fading to black.
What are your limits in regards to violent scenes (within the TOS)?
As long as I have a rough idea of the limits beforehand then I am okay with playing out violence to an extent. If someone just randomly springs a violent scene on me I will not be impressed, but as long as it makes sense to the characters and isn't just being used “for the drama”, then I will discuss and consider it.
What are your limits in regards to abuse/rape in plots?
Again, if it makes sense for the characters and will be handled well by all involved then I am not completely opposed to it. However, and this is a big HOWEVER, if I think it might just be used as a throwaway drama devise then the answer will be a flat-out no. These are real issues that have real life-altering affects, and it saddens me when they are used as throw away thread devises.
Anything else?
If you ever have a plot idea or anything, please never hesitate to give me a buzz on this account or via Chatango.
