The fact that it was Chirstmas break did not stop the teachers from giving students homework for the next class. Iggy had done most of it already so he could goof off until classes start up again. He was currently working on an essay for English. Having to write about whether The Catcher in the Rye leaned towards humans' capacity for good or nature of evil wasn't exactly quick work.
The boy sat with his book out with sticky notes tagging several pages, and notes spread around the table he was working at. The papers didn't cover every inch of the table though, so he wouldn't scare off anyone who wanted some space to sit and work as well. His pencil was freshly sharpened as he began the first body paragraph of the assignment.
Iggy chewed on his bottom lip as he wrote down a point saying that the book did lean towards the 'humans are evil' side. He knew the teacher wouldn't grade it based on which one he chose. It was an opinion, and as long as he could back it up he'd be fine, right?
The movement of someone sitting down caught his eye. Looking up, Iggy offered the student a smile and a wave.
