Another sucky Birthmas day. One year ago, her and Jack had first made it plain that they liked each other. This year he claimed that he had something in the works, though she wasn't sure when it would happen. Last year also was the beginning of the bunches of boys randomly deciding that they were interested in her. What was with that? All the kissing and the awkward that went along with it. She was pretty sure she couldn't handle that kind of thing again, she'd like to stick with one boy. And even then, she didn't know how far that was going to go.
Elisia sat in her room with a lame little balloon that said Have the Happiest Birthday Ever. Finding it had been hell in all of the Christmas stuff going on. Her fathers had looked for it special for her and she was glad that at least they seemed to remember things even if her mom didn't. She was sick of her mother even being part of her life. But of course, of course she had to go to New York for Christmas with her DARLING mother. Oh what Ellie would love to say about that woman. She was a big fat Boob face. With ugly hair. Yup. Mean stuff right there.
The birthday girl frowned and ran her hand through her hair, this was turning out to be a bust. Maybe she could go hustle someone in pool, or go to the choir room to play piano, or guitar. But how did that make it any different than any other day? Oh who was she kidding, her birthday was always overlooked because Christmas was so gosh dang important. It was dumb. Christmas got ruined for her because that was all anyone ever paid attention to. Elisia groaned and threw herself back on the bed in a huff.
Merry Birthmas to her.
