Something old, something new (open)

It was a far cry from the housing projects, but she supposed it was home now. Angie stepped foot into the building where her dorm was situation. Room 402. The piece of paper held the names of the three girls she was supposed to live with. To be honest she didn't really care about knowing any more than that about them. She'd had a life back home - not much of one to be honest - but it was life she knew. This, well, this was all different. She'd known about metas before finding out she herself was one, but on the streets it was something that made you different. Something that made you unwanted. Something that put you in more danger. Angie supposed that considering what she now knew she was, it was better to be at Hammel then back home.
She looked around the room with a grimace, before quickly lifting her head and wiping any sign of the nervousness and fear she was feeling off her face. She wasn't going to let anyone see signal sign of weakness from her. Closing her eyes and taking a deep breath, Angie quickly let her tongue dart out a couple of times, getting know her new environment well. It would definitely be worth not being able to taste dinner.
