Do you wanna build a snowman?
When he had said "Do you wanna build a snowman?" she hadn't thought he was serious. So when he showed up she had kept her word and now they were Standing before the product of their hard work, the most massive, cameo-boot wearing, fluffy white snowman that the campus of Hammel would ever lay eyes on. They had worked together to get it built up to a point where they could look at it and just grin. With her scarf and his boots it definitely had a little bit of style, and most certainly originality. They were a match those two, and even the snowman could see the sparks that flew between them.
Sure there was some fighting and some arguing over what went where and how he was being built but the snowman would do nothing but smile at the two. Looking at the two the snowman breathed a sigh of relief. They would be okay, even without his help.
“He needs something.” The snowman raised an eyebrow stick, metaphorically of course, and shook his head. He didn’t need anything. He was perfect the way he was. There was no way the two were going to do anything crazy on him of all the snowmen.
“What does he need Addie?” The snowman could see the smile that lit the boy’s face. The snowman knew that the boy wanted to spend more time with the girl and if she wanted something then the boy would stay and help.
The snowman watched as the girl seemed to think, tapping her finger on her nose, the flush in her cheeks from the excitement of building a snowman. The snowman wondered what he could possible need, they had already given him everything he wanted and needed.
“He needs another snowman!” The snowman thought about the fact and tried to shake his head. He was fine by himself! He didn’t need anyone! If only they could understand..
It was only for a moment though, as the snowman watched on as the boy picked up the girl and spun her in a circle. “What an excellent idea! He can have someone to keep him company.” The boy seemed to be happy; after all it meant he could stay a little longer. That didn’t mean the snowman needed anyone else though. “Monroe! Put me down!” If the snowman could chuckle he would. The girl was getting redder, though it wasn’t a bad red. More like a blush graced the girl’s cheeks.
The snowman watched as the boy, Monroe was it, put her down very slowly, sneaking in a peck on the lips before he ducked her oncoming hand. She wasn’t used to it yet, and instead of lashing out she covered her lips and shook her head. The snowman thought it was adorable, not her, but the two of them. If he could laugh he would, as she picked up a snowball and tossed it at the cheeky boy. It was evident to the snowman as the boy dodged that he obviously had feelings for her.
“Stupid.” The snowman watched as the girl shook her head and grinned over at the boy. He wasn’t quite sure what to think about there being another snow being around, let alone a snow-woman. Women could be fickle, if the girl was any indication. He wasn’t too sure about this.
About an hour later, with the occasional snowball being thrown the snowman was looking at a female of his kind. The girl put on some lipstick on the snow woman and a necklace. Oh my goodness the snowman thought, this one was beautiful. He smiled his stony smile over at the snow woman and thought his hardest. She was everything the girl had said she would be. The snowman was so infatuated with her that he didn’t notice the way the girl and the boy had gotten really close.
“Do you think they will be happy?” The girl’s eyes were focused on the snow people, and had no intention of straying. “They are perfect.”
“I’m sure of it.” The boy’s eyes were focused on the girl, no intention of leaving. “You are perfect.” The boy stood, taller than the girl and leaned down, kissing her softly, making sure to hold her no intention of letting her go when he finally had her.
The snowman smiled and looked at the snow woman across from him. He wished they could be like that. Watching the two walk off, hand in hand, the snowman grinned. This was going to be an interesting winter.
