PLAYER WANTS
What is your plotting philosophy?
I'm usually a fly by the seat of my pants sort when it comes to plots. I'm completely alright with hashing things out beforehand and working from there, and I'm fine with just going along the "what my character would do" course. If we plan something out, I expect communication. I get that muses have a way of changing things mid-thread, and generally I'm willing to roll with that. I don't like when roleplaying feels like a chore. I want to have fun, and I want you to have fun.
What types of plots are you interested in playing?
I'm open to just about anything. I joined this game to play, why should I limit myself?
What types of plots are you not interested in playing?
Keeping the first two answers in mind, if you've got a plot idea, hit me up. Chances are, even if it's NOT my cup of tea, we can find some sort of workaround. There isn't a lot that bothers me. My chosen genre for writing is horror. I'm not going to shy away from violence, or sex, or something just because it might give me as a mun the willies. That being said... I don't write pointless smut or violence. If you're going to thread with me, I prefer it to advance the plot between our characters in some way. Also, if you want to write with me, and it's something not allowed on this board because of the nature of the thread, I'm more than willing to do an aside plot one on one. Just talk to me. I'll tell you if I'm up for it.
How often can you reply to any given thread?
As it stands, I should be able to post at least once a day. BUT, I am attending school full time and I work part time, so my activity and availability is bound to be sporadic at times.
What is the longest you're willing to wait for a reply to a thread?
If I'm not left hanging with radio silence, I'm one of the most patient people you will ever meet. I would prefer not to wait forever for a tag, but I understand if muses aren't cooperating or life is too hectic. RL > RP always. If you don't contact with me, I'll poke you via some means. Just, you know, to make sure you're still alive and don't hate me. (This also goes the other way, if I've left you hanging, don't be afraid to bug me about it.)
Are you open to RPing over instant messengers? If so, what's the best way to contact you and what times are you generally available?
I'm on AIM almost regularly (you can find me at diviningapathy, but please tell me you're from Hammel if you add me). My status is USUALLY dead on (though I do have a tendency to randomly walk away for bits of time, apologies in advance). I don't really use any other IM services anymore. I don't prefer Skype (that program doesn't like me, I swear), but I do have it. My email (arinelle@gmail.com) is connected to my phone, so if I'm not around on AIM, that's the best way to get a hold of me. I also really really love to thread on GDocs, so that's an option as well.
My availability can be sporadic as I said earlier. I work early morning to early afternoons, and I attend night classes. I'm generally unavailable except in the late-afternoons and early evenings because of those and sleep. As of 02 January 2014, my days off are Sundays and Wednesdays. Those can be the days I can almost guarantee a reply if you're waiting on one.
Are you open to post volleying?
If I'm bored enough, and my muse is strong enough. This one is best to ask me, because the answer is bound to be different because of mood and level of distracted I am.
Anything else?
Don't hesitate to ask me something. I love to play, so if you're mulling over asking me for a thread, just do it!
PLAYER LIMITS
What are you limits regarding powerplay/godmoding?
A little bit is fine. Suekeichi is especially bully-able. I don't care if that's not a word...it is now. Suekeichi is such a character that he's bound to flip another character's switch by his mannerisms, or saying the wrong thing. He's a prankster and a cheeky b--- well, you know. So I'm not going to flounce if your character reacts to him in character and throws a punch. Just expect an IC response. (Katya is more likely to swing back, for example.) If I have a problem with a prior tag, I will say something.
What are your limits in regards to romantic situations?
I'm all about the organic, natural flow of character interactions and relationships. I don't really have any limits, aside from TOS and board rules...things like that.
What are your limits in regards to sex (within the TOS)?
I'm definitely more of a fade-to-black/implication sort. Especially on the internet, especially when there's uncertainty of someone's age (and it's easy as pie to lie about your age on the internet). For example, I'm more likely to write smutty stuff with Kallisti because I KNOW her, in real life. (Granted I'd probably still Fade-to-Black.) It's completely situational for me. I don't have any particular squicks when it comes to sex and my characters though. I'm pretty no-holds barred there. Fading to black also keeps things within TOS without having to think about it too hard.
What are your limits in regards to violent scenes (within the TOS)?
No limits I can think of.
What are your limits in regards to abuse/rape in plots?
I think this is the only category I'd require prior planning in. But, again, I've really got no limits aside from that.
Anything else?
Ask me if you aren't sure!
