It was a small thing which triggered Oriel. Kodi probably didn't even realize it as he was playing around and trying to treat Oriel like he had back when they were teenagers. But he had to be very clear very quickly about what was okay for Kodi to do and what was not okay for him to do. A bitch kissing his Dom in this place was a sign of insubordination and had to be rectified immediately. Otherwise, Oriel ran the risk of losing his status among the inmates.
Yeah, they were doing a shit job. They knew if they didn't turn the other way for half the stuff that happened, then they'd actually have to do something about it. "And what're you going to do about it?" he whispered. "Complain? They don't give a shit, it's your word against theirs. Who do you think they'll listen to?" Here, you either had to be able to look out for yourself or find someone to do it for you. Kodi was lucky he found Oriel first.
"If that's what you want to do," he answered. It didn't matter to Oriel if Kodi got himself killed. This pact Oriel was initiating was just to keep everyone else from messing with Kodi. If Kodi wanted to be stupid and mess with them, then that was his choice. "But if you're the one picking the fight, don't expect me to come save your ass. I ain't that generous."
Oriel stood right after throwing Kodi, looking down at him with a stone hard stare. But apparently the noise of skull on metal was enough to get the guards to finally respond. By the time they got there, Oriel was pressing the weight of his shoe on the man's back, forcing him harder down into the floor. "No promises," he uttered, a thin smile crossing his lips as the guards pulled him off. Oriel rose his hands and looked between the pair with a scoff. "Relax fellas, I'm done." He looked down again at the shivering body on the floor. Kodi probably needed medical attention. "Just giving him a warm welcome. No need to shit yourselves."
